WD-40 stands for "water displacement" and the 40 is the 40th attempt at making it. Made right here in my home town of San Diego at General Dynamics, where my father worked. It was never intended to be an oil. And nothing I just stated is me "being gullible," those are stone hard facts. It will oil stuff, but there's a thousand other products I'd choose before WD-40 if I was really trying to "oil" something. You can do what you want with it tho, I'm not that guy telling you you're wrong cause it does work.
We always just called them 8.0's in the day an yes ,they do fit in the 4.6 version chassy ,I had two 8.0's in my 4.6 an caught flack over it saying it will destroy the tranny .it never did an I blew those engines up as they were hard to tune an they had massive compression ,the starter backplates had issues ,an the first gen of them did have carb issues as well! You will need the engine mount for that one! I would love to see that truck at its full potential ,great vid!..😎👍
When you pulling carbs better to unscrew a bit toghtener and give it a gentle love tap to release those clamps inside. You made a carnage with that carb - a screwdriver? Oh mate.
Thanks for the video Haggard I had same issue with the Carb on mine I found a team associated rebuild carb kit on eBay but it would of cost almost £50 to buy and ship hear from the us 😂 and for 6 O rings it was just silly👍
Hows it. Good day bro. Yes today is therapy Thursday. Nice. Sometimes you just got to change carbs and o rings. I actually just rebuilt the carb on the SH.21 🔥👍always 😊
Hey haggard keep up the good work can't wait to see that truck ripping they way it should it reminds me that I need to run my stuff more often cuz it's not good for them to just sit.Btw just to verify I'm with you on wd-40 being a oil because it is.Just know that some people will believe anything cuz they are uneducated or just plan gullible. The meaning behind WD 40 is water displacement number 40 and to let you know there's a TH-camr you've might of heard of by the name thebug and he has a video of a nitro running on wd-40 check it out if you get a chance. Well take care my friend and keep burning nitro.
If you spray a petroleum based lube, like WD-40, on rubber, it will eventually dissolve it. There's a right lube for everything, and using the wrong one could destroy things. O-rings get silicon spray, because... they're silicone. ... The entire Internet is out there full of information.

Hello Haggard RC. What is your opinion on composite carb VS aluminum carb? :)
The wandering tune!....hate it when that happens!...ruins the day!
Nice vid👌
That’s when it’s time to have some lunch 👌🏻👌🏻
Penetrating oil or use Heat
For me the carburator on a engine is the heart

Should have removed the engine from the chassis, no?
No need for that… the car is an engine holder lol
