Every time I hear another story like this it breaks my heart. I actually stopped a kid from riding the back of the outside of a train cart. I asked a stranger to hold the door open while I helped him back on to the platform. My hands were shaking and I told him how dangerous that was. It takes A VILLAGE. Like holy crap...
Sadly so; for what it’s worth, a former surfer routinely goes to the various schools telling kids not to do it as his own “adventures” left him blind. Hopefully SOME kids took it to heart and props to the new program what saved 11 people so far. Still, some just can’t be bothered to get a clue; this is the fifth such story I’ve heard of and the third death 💀. Grateful that SOME lives are spared but clearly the job ain’t done yet.

They’ll do it, think they’re invincible, and then get snuffed by a metal box or some 💩. Of all the ways to check out, this is the most preventable.

In Boston, two kids recorded themselves subway surfing a Red Line Braintree train and jumping off into the Neponset as it crossed from Quincy into Dorchester. Don't know if they were arrested but I haven't heard of any subway surfing there since.
I was there, you can see my car parked nearby as police interviewed me off camera. It's was absolutely gruesome, a person had their Stomach/abdomen completely blown open and exposed to the open air. It was about 60 degrees out here and there was literal STEAM coming out of their lower stomach. I honestly couldn't believe that the human body was that hot on the inside One female driver was dry heaving after getting out of her vehicle to run up & get a better look, as the person's entrails had smelled like "Bad sewage" (As the lady described). I had to drop my breakfast off at the nearby shelter because I had lost my appetite knowing I had inhaled someone's inner "Fumes", I even found myself dry heaving earlier just thinking about it... I will never forget seeing this
In October of 2022, I pleaded with some kids on the D train not to train surf. I was pleasantly surprised at the way they responded. They promised that they will no longer do it. I knew somehow deep down that they didn't mean it, but the fact that they got off the train and stopped on that day gave me some type of relief. I pray for the family of the young boy that lost his life. Something needs to be done where these kids can stop. This is so sad.

Please leave train surfing to the professionals -- Usamalama, DyingLlama, Shiey, GIFGAS, and the other guy. It takes years of training (climbing and Urbex) before you are qualified to train surf. 14-year-old kids should NOT be doing this.
Ive seen personally people that would hold onto the door lip and the step and ride down the platform, then have to jump off b4 it goes in the tunnel and smack a pillar. 1 guy got it bad, knocked out, bleeding
Kids are living life on the edge and I blame social media, government and parents & guardians. Learning does not stop at the school system. Elders need to talk with these kids on the dangers of reckless behavior. These children need to be reared and not dragged up. They need common sense, manners, logical thinking, actions and consequences skills, street smarts and book smarts. They need to be well rounded to navigate this world. A lot of people are empty vessels with nothing to live for besides social media. That is not life
