- A tropical storm is expected to form near the Yucatan Peninsula by Tuesday night. Steering patterns take the system into the eastern Gulf where it will likely intensify, potentially rapidly. This video breaks down what we know about the storm and where the forecast could change.
Thank you for the heads up Josh. This was an excellent and frank presentation.
I would rather be over prepared than not at all. Thank you and you aren’t the only one saying this
@@zslis4348 people would rather wait last minute when a hurricane is within a 1 day range to do anything about it, that's the vibes I'm getting this year. Ppl don't realize how privileged they are to be able to access this information for free. Nah they just want a hurricane to sneak up on them lol. They deny, deny, until it happens. And if it doesn't, so what? Best case scenario.
Excellent! Best I've heard next to Levi from Tropical Tidbits. Thank you so much and may God bless you. I have just subscribed. Tavares, Central Florida here.
Thanks again for all you do brother 🫡
Thank you for sharing your faith while you try and let us know what the weather may do - God definitely protected my family here in SW Louisiana during Hurricane Francine and I know that He is faithful!
Just found you, just joined. Central Florida panhandle here. Glad you are out there. We remember Michael like it was yesterday. Hoping this will be a lesser system. Press on and God bless. Phil.1:6!
Central Florida panhandle? lol
@@rawhides as in the middle of the panhandle, syntax notwithstanding 😜
Thanks for heads up ahead of time!!! Regardless. Better safe than sorry 😞
Thanks weatherman Josh
Safe to say right now any place along the gulf coast should be doing initial preps and have more extensive measures on stand by when we get more pinpoint guidance.
Fellow HAM operators, probably a good time to check your gear and portable radios as they may be needed very soon.
I’m in Navarre, FL. I have been stressed about the storm.
you gotta get prepared
Thanks Josh God Bless ✝️
Thanks, Josh! The Lord bless you! ❤
I'm going to prep and keep my eye on Jim Cantore. I don't want to be any where Cantore goes.
JOSH SALUDOS DESDE PR🇵🇷🙌
Appreciate you being thorough, but I appreciate you not being a clickbait generator with fear mongering titles.
October is going to be a very busy weather month which will naturally bring us the Cold weather. Something I used to see was that if something Reached Colorado, snow storms/blizzards, then Louisiana was next in line without a doubt. And if it gets Near Southern Baja California, then Louisiana was in sight. I just know we'll be expecting 2 storms for sure. Hopefully minor ones that just bring us cooler weather. Thank you.
Please not Panama City Beach again! We can’t have another hit like Michael😢God please help us all ❤️🙏🙏
I am preparing, but my anxiety is off to the races....
will it be tomorrow before more of a lock on those steering patterns...
Also, how are people expected to evacuate safely with no notice from network sources?
People are tied down to jobs, struggling financially, and may not have adequate transportation..... it's an extremely hard decision for many...it's a mess.
Thank you.
People who live along the coast have absolutely no excuse for not being prepared for any disaster. You should have enough supplies on hand to last you AT LEAST one week without access to food or other supplies. Make sure you have enough medication, food and water to last. Don’t wait until a disaster is eminent. Be prepared!
yup!
I live in the Fort Walton area in Florida I have already went to the store and got batteries and certain canned goods around here we don't wait until the storm is at our doorstep to go to the store. From having two hurricanes destroy everything I own I take this very seriously and the amount of hurricanes we've had. Hurricane opal and Hurricane Ivan destroyed my life Ivan wasn't as bad as opal for my family but it was still bad. And each hurricane you learn earlier prepare is better. Getting the generators ready getting the extension cords out or you can just grab and go and getting the portable air conditioners and making sure everything works and everything is good before the storm even gets in the Gulf. When we are told it's possible for it to hit near us. Now everybody's talking about where this thing's going makes me sick to my stomach. Because we live near the water only a couple miles from it that means we get straight line winds straight off the water.
Pray for my back. 🙏🏻
Seems as if storm will skew west towards Alabama before and more likely to avoid tampa
models for the past few days have had the hurricane switching for going east, to going west, then going east, and now going west again!
Happy Sunday to you as well Josh. My anxiety level gets higher living in Tampa. I hate this time of year. I hate it. Florida sticks out there like a sore thump. Florida is always threatened this time of year. This is my question. If a frontal system catches the storm will the wind shear increase???
It could, but that might not be enough
@@joshsseverewx Helene could be cat 3 or 4.
@@DawnJiang-kd6me Ouch!!!
Be prepared, Tampa isn't directly in the path so you should be mostly fine , I also live there, so we suffer together lol.
@@richard1835 yup, GFS models predicts cat 4
Hurracine Helene could be the first major hurricane of the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season.
Bro just forgot about Beryl lmfao
Beryl?
Nope Hurricane Beryl was the first major hurricane of the 2024 season
Do y’all see that “3” ? That’s me 😂
Why you predicting this as a 3, most are saying it's gonna be just a tropical depression . You do this to all storms you track..
I saw looked at the gfs model and it’s showing a category 5 hurricane with a pressure of 935 millibars
935mb is category 4 not category 5.
@@HongKong-tg5lh whoops
Iam in homosassa fl what about here
Destin
Have a condo in Destin starting thursday.
@@curraja14 go enjoy your vacation, these systems are always changing. Just have a backup plan .
Please learn how to identify rip tides. And be safe.
This thing is going to Louisiana
Oh, I sincerely hope not.
Potential for a major hurricane?? We don’t even have a low pressure formed yet. No one knows what it’s going to do..
Absolutely right
It’s called potential- you do know what that means don’t you
@@zslis4348 of course I do. All I was saying is it’s hard to predict the intensity of these things and until a low forms and when and the upper level environment, it’s just a big wait n see but a hurricane is almost guaranteed
@@horizon20222 it's funny how NOAA hasn't even reported on this storm yet.
@@Theaddora that’s cause there is nothing to report or anything lol they are aware of it but right now, it’s just a moisture of thunderstorms.
Do you feel the keys will be heavily effected I am in the Keys Wed night for 8 days
it shouldn't be too strong in your area but you might want to watch out for storm surge and flooding
No, just soggy
Mark my words these are too far west it will be closer to Tampa than the models suggest. They keep shifting east it will happen.
tbh this could be stronger than C3. Maybe C4!
GFS said it catagory 4
@@HongKong-tg5lh Which I don't disagree with
This will be a CAT 1 at best. Will move quickly onshore
GFS shows it making landfall with 935mb pressure, if that's the case it's a CAT4 or 5. Still too far out though, could only be a tropical storm.
and 5 at worst ☠💀
models have been predicting pressure down to 935mb, where did you get your data from? Because I know you have SOOOO much knowledge in meteorology.
😂
☠💀
Very irresponsible Forcast.
Well it's important to be informed. He's quite right in his analysis. This is the very real potential. But please do your own research. Praying you will have time to prepare.
what knowledge do you have in meteorology? You must be like a SUPER meteorologist who knows EVERYTHING about weather.
Where's your forecast?
@@gtusa91 exactly bro
Well this comment isn't going to age well.
Isaiah 28:2,17-19,22. Matthew 5:17-18. KJV
☠💀
Thanks for sharing Scripture Location. We stick with the KJV❤
these storms are formed from low pressure zones formed from convection in the Atlantic, not the hands of god or something like that
Floridians are always prepared.....next!
...prepared to pay insane insurance payments too?
not really, many people here think they are going to be fine and that its going to be fine, and guess what, hurricane debby that was a category 1 killed atleast 4 people, likely because they thought it was going to be nothing.
