    I just bought these - they have switched the default cable to termiante in 3.5mm, and added a screw in 1/4" plug screw similar to the Beyerdynamics you showed. I initially bought the 590 - but it took 2 seconds of them being on my head for me to return them and splurge the extra bit on these. 2 weeks in and its the best pair of headphones I have owned (used to be my QC45s)

    I bought these a couple of days ago. Wow. I've had headphones from Audeze (great, bit heavy and not quite there across the board), from Grado (fun, heavy cable, not so great with some genres), Edifier stax, Sony, Bose...
    The Senneheiser HD560s are my favourite headphones already. Audio quality, especially using a 4.4mm to 2.5mm balanced cable from my A&K is astonishing.
    Comfort is great - so light, a single cable is so much better than 2 cables foem each ear.
    These handle every genre I've thrown at them.
    The enjoyment I'm getting from these reminds mw of when I got my first decent speakers, when ibgot my first quad driver IEMs.

    should also be worth noting that these are arguably the best gaming headphones on the entire market, even when compared to headphones that cost much much more (e.g. dt 1990 pro, hd800s). the soundstage and detail especially are just so well done with these, and coupled with its tight bass roll off it's incredible at picking up footsteps for competitive games and for providing a detailed, immersive experience for first person games.

    I have them actually go them at Guitars Center. I've had a few openbacks. HP9500, Fidelio x2hr, dt990s. Hd 560s combine all of those to a well balanced sound. AMP improves greatly the performance. Light, airy with good directions and sound. For the money you really can't go wrong. I game a lot but the music is amazing too. Wonderful review, Thank you! however I do have a question, you mentioned the bass is kept flat. I'm not very informed in the sound side of headphones, or how the things I want, translate to descriptions, as I figured the bass would be heightened rather than kept flat. But, I do know I'm looking for headphones that will very well immerse me into whatever game I am playing, while also being at least decent for music. would these still be a good option for that?

    • @SoundGuys
      @SoundGuys  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If gaming and casual music listening is a priority for you, and you're not a fan of the flat bass response, then I'd recommend for headphones tuned for more consumer use. Gaming wise, you might enjoy the Razer BlackShark V2 Pro (2023). If you want something less gamer-y, but still wired, then the AKG K371 are a solid pair. If you still want the open-back style of headphones then you'll like the Sennheiser HD490 Pro, which is similar to the HD 560S but has more bass emphasis when using the velour pads. Hope this helps. Happy listening!

      @@SoundGuys Thank you for the fast response! I appreciate it! i will definitely look into those!
      My issue if i can explain it better is i'm not fully sure what the flat bass is, it may be exactly what i'm looking for, i'm not sure what most terms for sound quality and how sounds work are. I am looking for very good headphones with wonderful sound quality and a kind of vibration that makes you feel the sound a little bit if that makes sense. Either way, thank you so much for the swift response, i really do appreciate it! i'll keep searching for a bit, but this video really helped me out, thank you! Sennheiser makes headphones that are getting worse and more expensive. 10-20 ago years used to be quality... even for $50 you got sound that wasn't discouraging and was nice. HD 560s that cost less than $200 sound... weird. On a flat equalizer, the mid-high tones are so loud that it hurts my head and the treble and bass disappear. Only vocals, guitars and instruments can be heard from 500hz to 6khz. Bass and treble is hidden. Only after using the equalizer, boosting the bass by 5db, lowering the mid-high tones by 4db and boosting the treble from 12khz by 3db do they start to sound quite ok, but there are still moments in many songs when the mid-high tones scratch and strain the ears. If we lower the mid-high tones even more, the sound becomes muted and flat, so we need to leave it at -4db. The snare drum sounds weak, shallow and quiet, because it sounds mainly in mid-high tones, and when we lower them so as not to bleed our ears, the snare drum sounds simply mediocre.
    The music scene isn't great either. It's correct, but without fireworks. It seems to me that the HD 599 had a wider stage, various cymbals, hihats, etc. were better audible. HD 599 costs $150 and they sound better in general.
    Overall, very average headphones, should cost $100. But not almost 200...
