  • This is a comparison of the stock exhaust on my 2016 Miata to the Goodwin Racing RoadsterSport SuperStreet single tip exhaust. I am not sponsored in any way by Goodwin Racing. As they say, I'm just a satisfied customer.
The exhaust can be found here: www.good-win-r...

Love the video. I have been thinking about getting this exhaust for a while now. In your opinion, is the change that great? Is it worth the money?

Most definitely. The sound is fantastic and I think it's worth every penny. As much as I loved driving my Miata before, I love driving it even more now :-)

Since the exhaust takes up less space underneath, is the underside aerodynamically affected? Does it create any stability issues at higher speeds? I watched a video of someone installing a Verus rear diffuser and claims it helps with the above issues due to smaller exhausts

I've not noticed any difference at all with the smaller exhaust but of course ymmv.

    Any drone with this exhaust?

      @twalker294  ปีที่แล้ว +1

None whatsoever. I've had it on for about 4 years now and I still love it.

@@twalker294 thank you. Do you use any baffles?

    • @twalker294

@@timdissanayake1502 I have the removable baffle that comes installed in it. I took it out to see what it sounded like but it removes too much of the lower end growl for my taste.

@@twalker294 I also don’t want higher decibel sound but want to keep the lower decibel growl. Do you recommend keep baffle? I haven’t received my exhaust yet. Ideally want to keep sound below 90 decibels.

@@timdissanayake1502 the only difference I really noticed with the baffle removed was the low frequencies being muted. It might have been a bit louder but not much. It's very easy to remove and reinstall - just remove one nut and it comes right out. When you get it try it both ways and see which you prefer.

Do you have headers in this video?

No, everything stock except for the muffler.

Thanks for this great real world, every day comparison. Super helpful.
By chance, were you considering the Flyin Miata Hush o Matic when you bought this? I've narrowed down to that or the GWR Super Street twin.
    Thanks again

No I wasn’t. The only other one that I was considering was the Cobalt but the Goodwin seemed to be better quality. I’ve been extremely satisfied with it.

I'm stuck between this, cobalt and borla. I want something that's loud but not so raspy aka no fart can. Thoughts?

Well, this is exactly what you are asking for?
