Fantastic scramble as is the location on the coast. Definitely has a grade two feel about it particularly at the beginning. The holds are rugged but good. Great video, does the arête and the area justice. Thanks for sharing 🤙🏻
Passed that area many, many times and never realised there's a recognised route up it! Your 'chute looks much less bulky to carry than those I've seen in the past too! Thanks for posting this Rob, a very nice video!
Looks like a great little scramble Rob. Will have to give it a go next time I am up there 🙂
Great video as ever. I love this scramble. I didn't realised it was a Grade 2.

Thanks very much 👍
Lovely vid as usual Rob. Making us all jealous. 🙂
Lovely video, thanks Rob

Yes it’s only 2kg so incredibly light!
Thanks Great video
Love it, got to give the Penmaenbach Arete a go, driven past so many times thinking it look fun
Yes it’s one of those routes isn’t it 😀
Always a treat to see a new video from you :) great video.
What made you switch to the Double skin? I think you used to have a skin 3p?
Thanks very much. The Double Skin is better if there’s any wind and only weighs a tiny fraction more, I found it was easy to get pinned on the 3P.
Great shots there Rob! I do enjoy the Penmaenbach Arete, my only complaint is it could do with being twice the length :D
Yes 100% 😀👍
Agreed but then that's the case with many good scrambling routes, I think 👍
