And they have been able to slow her down, especially the better teams and coaches. But she is able to improvise, adapt, and overcome most of the time. This is part of her frustrating with Sides. She is able to adjust real time before anyone else realizes it. Mitchell and sometimes Boston are especially good at communicating with her on the fly. So it’s hard to scout her. She has so many tricks she can use and remember she’s still a rookie. There are other players like this too but we are mostly concerned about CC so I’m focusing on her. That tweet is not a big deal. The reason (especially now in the pros) that she tends to work more to the left to find an open shot is because when she drives to the basket, which she does extremely well, she prefers the right side of the lane. This causes her defenders to always try to maintain a position where they have some leverage to stop that right side drive. This tendency leaves the defenders vulnerable to Caitlin juking them by making them think she is going to the rim. Instead she steps back to the left, shoots, and breaks another record or something. Those grown-ass women just can't stay with a little 'ol college girl.
