Sheryl Swoopes is destroying her own legacy with this. I am a recent fan of the WNBA, and while I knew who Sheryl Swoopes was before this, her status as a legend of the sport is not something I knew much about. But I can tell you that after her antics, THIS is all I will ever remember Sheryl Swoopes for. I know she is one of the GOATs, but I will only see her as the bitter, petty, jealous washed up has been that she is now, talking trash about her betters. Clark has more talent, and despite being targeted all year (17% of ALL flagrant fouls in the WNBA) she has outperformed ALL previous rookies, including Sheryl Swoopes.
I agree. I knew who she was and had seen her play in the past. She is one of the all time greats. And the funny thing, imho, is that if she was acting rational at all and giving CC HONEST commentary, a lot of new fans would learn about SS and the great things she did. Instead, she comes across as a jealous twit. It's absurd.

Why is this constantly being brought up? During an expansion year, every team can core their top 6 players. That means they are restricted from leaving.
Everyone on the fever finished in like the top 20 of the fan voting. Almost every game was on tv. Every game was in front of a large crowd. The team played up tempo and free flowing basketball. At the beginning of the season AB was out of shape and she got called out for it. I think AB wasn't used to the pro process where the players are responsible for keeping in shape. She played herself into shape and could keep up with the pace. Today I'm sure AB is having fun, they are winning and she can see the future endorsement money coming because of eyes on the Fever. There are some that try to give Clark all the flowers but I think they’re winning because Clark, Mitchell, Boston, Hull, and others have stepped up. Mitchell has been going off for the most part since the break. In team sports you win and lose as a team. Everyone has to contribute to get the job done. No one can win a championship by themselves and even Jordan needed Pippen.

Whats makes a great team is how they mesh. Then surround yourself with good players. Look at all the championship teams throughout the 4 major sports and see what they all have in common.
At the beginning of the season AB was out of shape and she got called out for it. I think AB wasn't used to the pro process where the players are responsible for keeping in shape. She played herself into shape and could keep up with the pace. Today I'm sure AB is having fun, they are winning and she can see the future endorsement money coming because of eyes on the Fever. Jorday, Tiger, .... all made most of their money off of endorsements, not from league or winnings.
