Caitlin Clark was drafted number 1 by the indiana fever after being one of the greatest college basketball players of all time. WNBA players like A'Ja Wilson, Diana Taurasi, Breanna Stewart and Sue bird have all given their opinion of the number 1 pick.

Yeah, no matter what happens, if the Fever get eliminated, I’m out as well.
I'll watch every Fever playoff game with hope they can at least mix up the first round... and then keep tabs on who beats who up until the final pairing. We've been watching Notre Dame Women's basketball for the past several years, so it's been cool to see the players that went pro. Clark almost came to ND, but I'm glad that she ended up in Indy with the Midwest B-Ball energy.

That 2nd Suns vs Fever game will always infuriate me. That was the one where the Fever were shooting lights out, and had the play of the year. The one where Boston had a massive block that sent Alyssa Thomas to floor, then in that same transition, Wheeler dumps it off to Clark with Rucco screaming "Wheeler finds Clark from the logo YOU BET!" And what happened? Clark with the ball gets tackled by a linebacker, no foul called, Clark then complains about being obliterated, and they give CLARK a technical for it. Which was basically the end of it. Absolutely insane
In order for the Fever to win, Lexie Hull needs to step up her offense. She is only taking two to three shots per game, but has been shooting roughly 70%...shoot the ball!
If she shoots more, that percentage comes WAY down. She's shooting so well because she mostly takes high percentages shots where she's wide open or has a layup.
She has no confidence
She's not comfortable shooting contested or off the dribble 3's just yet outside of end of shot clock situations but she will get there I bet!
I've seen her pass up so many open shots the last 5 games. Idk if she's trying to protect her shooting percentage or if she's lost confidence. But she needs to start taking those
And Lexie has been missing open layups lately as well. She went cold this past week so hopefully she can get that figured out
The 3-game playoff series helps the lower seed, as it's easier to win two games for the upset than having to win four games like in the NBA.
The Fever can absolutely win 2 out of 3 against the Sun, but I don't think they beat the Lynx three times. I'm picking the Fever to beat the Sun 2-1 and then lose to the Lynx 3-1.
But if the Fever wins the series against Connecticut don't they have to play New York if Liberty wins the series against Atlanta? I thought the highest seed always plays the lowest seed.
Fever would be the lowest seed if Aces wins against Storm. So how would the Fever play the Lynx in the semifinals? Please explain if you can, thank you.
@@alfrancisco3053 No, it’s a playoff bracket and the Fever are on the other side of the bracket from the Liberty, so they wouldn’t face them until the Finals. Mick shows the bracket in this video.
@@JakeKoenigOk thanks for that the Lynx would be a tough match for the Fever I don't know if they might be able to beat them maybe win a game or two but 3 games it's gonna be tough.

Minnesota .. I've been watching them more than I had planned on (wanted to see the Fever, instead) .. but, anyway .. the Lynx can run like a well tuned machine.
Yep the team plays like a well oiled machine. if all lynx are healthy i say they take the championship in 4 games
I think the Fever can win round one. Connecticut's offense isn't that great.
But the Fever defense sucks. If the Sun hit those open jumpers the Fever always give up, its over.

I think Fever-Sun can be the only competitive series in the 1st round. 2-0 for NY, Aces and Lynx, I think Indiana will lose in 3 but I wouldn't be much surprised if Indy wins the match up
Round 2 is a best if 5 not best of 3.
I think that if they want to extend the W-ENVY-A season, they should start by extending the playoffs series to 5 games each at least. Current minishort series are absurd.
As far as experience goes, C22 has JUST been through back to back NCAA challenge runs. She KNOWS how to handle pressure and lead.
This is the W. More physicality is allowed in the playoffs. Always been that way. The Fever won a squeaker at home when they were playing at there peak. The first two games are in Connecticut. I can easily see Clark getting frustrated. The Sun win in two.

It's wild to start the year I picked the Sun to win it all. Then they got Mabrey and it strengthened the case. But of course my Fever gotta play them first. Kinda works out either way cuz ill tend to root for the team who knocks mine out.
I hope the Sun doesn't try to injure CC..it does worry me. If the refs are fair (haha) and the Fever plays well, the Fever will win.
This is an excellent comment which I completely agree with.
It greatly benefits the WNBA for the Fever to advance as far as possible, so the refs MIGHT be fairer in the playoffs compared to the regular season. She certainly won't get favorable calls like most superstars would, but I'd settle for EQUAL treatment.
But mark my words, if the Fever advance at all, tons of people will claim the league is rigging games to keep Caitlin in the playoffs. That's just how the haters operate.

Yes, 4,5,6, can beat any team any day of the week. Everyone seems to be counting the Storm out. With Williams, there it's anybody's game.
Hope the Fever win it all but not sure they can win 2 against Connecticut. Even if they can win 2, the road stops with Minnesota. The Lynx are too good and have one of the best coaches. I predict Minnesota wins it all. Napheesa Collier good and watch out for Brigitte Carlton. She broke Indiana in last game with three 3 pointers in last 3 minutes or so. Deadly. If Fever end up playing Minnesota, please guard the 3 point shooters! Do not let Brigitte get wide open!

Lynx...agree. Don't know if I will watch beyond a Fever elimination. All the missed layups, terrible officiating, and bad all around play beat any interest in any of the other teams.

I think NY wins 2-0 over ATL, LV wins 2-1 over SEA, MIN 2-0 over PHX, IND 2-1 over CONN, then NY 3-1 over LV, MIN 3-1 over IND, then NY 3-2 over MIN.

I am rooting for minnesota. Courtney and heideman have experience in finals with the sun. Kaymac and bc can hit big shot and napheesa collier i always believe is ready for the moment. Liberty win it all IF Sabrina regains her shooting touch. She has struggled post-Olympics. If not, Lynx win in four.
I predict an unfortunate quick exit for the Fever, considering how they sputtered to the end of the season, on top of Mitchell's injury. I say the Lynx take it all. They heated up at just the right time. They and the Liberty are the class of the league.

I have no doubt that the Liberty will win their bracket and make the finals, what’s cool is that the Lynx and the Fever are my favorite teams, and there in no way I see neither of them getting to the finals. My least favorite teams in whom I actively dislike are the Mercury and the Aces because of how unlikeable a lot of their players are. I see no way that he Mercury get out of the first round against the Lynx, but Aces are looking good against the Mercury.
I will stop caring if the Fever lose.

Liberty and Lynx sweep. Aces and Seattle is a tough one because which Storm team shows up? The one that lost to the Fever or the one that jelled her toward the end. Williams is getting acclimated to the team. I agree that the Storm make take one in Vegas. I can't see the Aces losing however , even in Seattle. So Aces.
We differ on what the important matchup will be. I believe its Boston and Jones. I don't expect Clark to tear it up against Carrington. Mitchell will be defended better than the norm. Hull is a spot up shooter. Smith won't outplay Thomas, Temi either. If Jones outplays Boston its over.
The Fever's lack of defense will be magnified in the playoffs where team are allowed to play with more physicality. I don't see the Fever handling that well, especially Clark. The Sun sweep at home.
It wouldn't surprise me if Seattle win series.

R.Howard is one of the more frustrating players in the league. When she’s on she is a top 8-10 player in the league. Unfortunately her shot selection is awful and a 5-18 game is not uncommon for her.

The fever have a real chance of making the finals based off of their bracket positioning. They've proven that they can beat the Sun, it'll be hard but they can do it. If the Mercury can pull an upset and beat the Lynx, the fever will most likely make the finals because they've beat the mercury all season. They'll have a better chance against the mercury vs the lynx

Liberty 2-1 over Dream. The Dream have been much better in the second half of the season than the first. I suspect this is a tougher matchup than it looks like.

Lynx 2-0 over Mercury. The Mercury are too old, and the Lynx are too good and too well coached.
Fever 2-1 over Sun. This is my bias talking because the intellect in me says the Sun win this series. But my heart tells me the Fever can win.
