As a wooden boat owner , you got to love the woodies, completely different feel and water slap sound than plastic or tin. So much more relaxing fishing in a woodie. Great catch and cook, those bream are solid.
Graham, I hope you doing mind, but once you've watched this a few times, if you like carp then you ought to check out Carp Angle. Loads of interesting content and people. Hints and tips and, of course, lots of carp!
Hi Graeme, Playing catchup as usual at the moment due to health. Op next month. Went fishing yesterday and caught my biggest mackerel ever at a quiet local that i know. I saw it jumping around alone and after an hour caught it. The fish stripped line like ive never had before and when landed it was longer than my coolbox. I know it's only a mackerel but it made my day. Never had a fish strip line like that before. Gave it away to friends for their barbeque. Best As Always, Steve in Fife.
@@TAFishing I have 2 little girls over here just west of Chicago and we are fishing freaks. My daughters LOVE your videos. TA Fishing!! They are 7 and 8 years old and are all about fishing.
Fantastic hours entertainment Graham, so enjoyable. Fun and tips galore. Still watching the beach catch and cook vids, my favourites. Thanks mate, take care 👍
Great to see you back on the sea Graeme, really missed your sea fishing shows, hope to see a lot more of them soon. Why aren't you on your normal boat? Loved the catch and cook, shame you didn't cook up the bream though I would have liked to have seen that. Take care and stay safe buddy
Glad you treat the doggies OK. Sadly, not every channel does. Another smashing video to go with that splendid vintage craft. Just parted with my wooden dinghy today. Sad to see her go. Older than I am.
On my bucket list to hire a boat out of Beer, Graeme these trips out on the boat are fantastic. Catch and cook was great (I would just take half a lemon). Nice mix of species, great views around the bay. Thanks for posting.
Another awesome film Graeme. I started watching your videos nearly 6 years ago as a teenager and learned to shore fish from them. Hats off to you for all the great content you've put out over the years.
Cooking on the boat on your own your a legend!!! SACK MABEL!! Me and the lads are going out on a charter boat on the 28th! Maybe if we Chuck the skipper a drink he’ll let us have a go! Keep them videos coming il upload you pictures of Anything big we catch ! 👍🦈
I love thees boat videos. Makes me want to to get one so bad. But really miss high sea drifter can't wait to see her back in action. Tight lines mate 🎣🎣🎣
G'day Graeme. Have you tried marinara mix for bait? I buy it from Woolworths (Tesco in UK land?) In the deli/seafood section. Usually it has prawns, squid rings and 2 or 3 types of fish in chunks. The bit of garlic and parsley they add doesn't seem to put the fish off. I think it would have to be my favourite supermarket bait. Tight lines mate.
I once stayed in a B&B near the train station in Torquay where during a late night bar drink with the owner he mentioned the legendary Lob and Crabster, It has stayed with me for 30 years and am glad the species still exist. I thought he was bullshitting me🤣
my buddy caught a 4lb plus plaice on a whole cooked prawn , it made the anglers mail top ten best fish of the week over the whole UK,, i carried it from boat to shore feeling very nervous walking on a floating pontoon ,,before taking the photo ..
You can cook prawns with and without the shell. Without is easier at the table. In cooking, they go from transparent grey to a milky pink colour in 3-4 minutes..I enjoyed the old boat as much as the fishing. Thanks.
I just had a fry up of 2 angus beef burgers, fried onions, fried roma tomato halves sliced vertically & sliced vintage block cheese on small 3 inch round buttered buns with fresh ground sea salt & fresh ground black pepper. Wow it was sooooo juicy & yummy mm mmm. I find that if you are using a cast iron pan or stainless steel pan with a bit of butter the tomatoes taste really nice when they are fried until the flat side is burned a little as it adds to the taste & if you cook both sides until the tomato becomes mushy it's like having a natural replacement for tomato sauce.
Had to use your advice the other day. I was on the flounder good but wanted to go switch go sheepshead. Graeme wouldn't leave fish to find fish and so I didn't!
Love the vids Graeme, a tip for cooking prawns, once you peel them make a shallow cut along the back and you can scrape out all of the mudline, then cook for 5-8 minutes until the meat changes color all the way through
Whenever I've seen those seafood sticks in the supermarket I've wondered if they're worth trying as bait. I might've known you'd be the first person to try them Graeme!
Great video thanks Graeme! Good to see you back on the sea fishing. Everyone to their own but I've no interest in this Freshwater lark. I chuckled at "South Devon" in the description - more like East Devon! South Devon would be Salcombe or Dartmouth! The Mackerel & Prawns looked delicious. I've tried Prawns for bait from the shore but no luck. Stay safe & well. 👍👍
Ha ha 😂, many many years ago in when I live back in England 🏴. I worked for Youngs Seafood in Grimsby ( 1985 - 88 ) crab-sticks are made from Pollak fish . Added crab flavorings & pink dye, awesome snack food especially with chili mayonnaise sauce 😋👌😍
anyone! see the fish come up rite under the boat at 9.55 exactly?,... was when Graham was just getting his first bite on the small rod, look just to the left of the rod and the fish comes up from under the boat.
Hey, Graeme: Shrimp/prawns, whether boiled or pan fried, only require about 2 - 2 1/2 minutes max to be fully cooked. Any more than that, they're rubbery as hell. Bet you found that out on your cookup. The prawns were done way before you threw in the mackerel. Great video BTW. 👍 You reminded me of Spencer Tracy; you know the movie.
Yes, Graeme! Going to watch this with a curry shortly! One question - have you ever fished in the Florida Keys? I'm thinking about planning a solo expedition next year, fishing from a kayak in the Keys, staying in cheap motels along the way, ice cold beer and fresh fish...need something to look forward to after the last 18 months..
That sounds like a fishing trip from heaven...Until you do a night drift at Bahia Honda bridge and the 14-foot monster Hammerhead that lives there thinks your kayak is another fat Tarpon !...I joke not !!
