Most people are way sensitive to almost everything. Feeling not good enough is like a plague that eats you up from within. Sense of self-worth is tremendously important and the way to retain the element of Self-worth is to realise you had better to quit comparing yourself with those around you; to admit you do not have to pretend to be someone you're not. We have no Idea how powerful and strong we can feel once we cease to follow in the footsteps of those who we mistakenly consider perfect. It equips us with extremely positive energy to see and acquiesce ourselves for who we're.

It is through our authentic openness of our hearts, that we find ourselves in each other. I went through an identity crisis at 17. This is normal. We all want to fit in at that age. I did not take drugs, I went to a therapist and she helped me. Hopefully people will ask for help when they get into a bad situation. But culturally speaking, American society doesn't help people as much as it should. Anyway, glad you are still with us in this human world. AND GOOD LUCK to everyone who gets into a bad situation.

And there is a lady I really like but I've hurt her with some words . I really am sincere and I miss her . Still talk to her but it's distant and she said I will have to gain her trust her again. I hope you get that second chance. Often times we have to work extra flippin hard for it but if it's Gods plan, it will go exactly how He wants it too.❤ I'm glad you got to hear this message.
So well done, Nadine! It really surprised me to hear the two extremes together...of how well you were doing in school and how awful you were feeling inside. It goes to show how you we never know how another person is feeling judging from the outside. Sometimes I see people who seem so 'together' and I make the assumption that their life is easier than mine. Trying not to do that anymore. Thank you for your sharing. I have no doubt whatsoever that you are making others' journeys easier, and helping them find a path to a fulfilling life.
Thank you so much for sharing that. I believe we often portray what we want others to see but decide to hide the truth because the truth is scary. Being vulnerable is scary.
Well done. I suggest for about a year, she goes and does something compelling that has nothing to do with drug recovery, something she might have learned and got good at if she had never had a drug issue. We can be addicted to being concerned with the whole problem. That's how we know we are really free.
Thank you for being so brave to stand in front of so many people and reveal the things you did you were not proud of and also for showing the vulnerability to say you were about to take your own life to help others who are going through the same problems but do not have the courage to speak about them openly, God bless your sister who was that helping hand at the right time. You are a true hero, unlike the fake ones in the movies because you are doing what is difficult to help others.

Wow, this astute comment put things in a whole new light for me! I somehow never made that connection, always assuming I felt like not enough because of bad choices, never considering that it's much easier to make bad choices when one feels like you deserve them.
I feel like all of the self worth in the world doesn't matter when people look down on you. I'm 30, living with my parents, obese, unemployed, no fashion sense and no worldly ambitions. I'm nothing to everyone
I am changing my mind set I felt every thing you said it s like God talking to me just yesterday I made up my mind to change myself and no one is going to do it for me , I don’t have anyone to turn up to with my problems but I have God’s support which I believe is enough to save me from all those mental traumas and old believe I made a decision with myself once I will be able recover fully and ch age my mind set and not let any of those haunting thoughts come near me , I will would definitely want to share my story to help others I would definitely want to be a part of risemovement and Ted talk Amen 🙏🏾

I suggest for about a year, she goes and does something compelling that has nothing to do with drug recovery, something she might have learned and got good at if she had never had a drug issue. We can be addicted to being concerned with the whole problem. That's how we know we are really free.
dear stranger i can feel your pain you're not alone....
this woman is strong.
What a powerful message! Thank you for this beautiful reminder that I am enough!
One of the best talk i've listened to.
Everything she said i relate her from start to end 100%
How amazingly courageous!
Speaking out dark secrets is the hardest of life battles!
Dumping denial is the first step to recovery , but it's not an easy one .

Forgiveness , Trust , Acceptance
Thank you for being so brave to stand in front of so many people and reveal the things you did you were not proud of and also for showing the vulnerability to say you were about to take your own life to help others who are going through the same problems but do not have the courage to speak about them openly, God bless your sister who was that helping hand at the right time. You are a true hero, unlike the fake ones in the movies because you are doing what is difficult to help others.
That means the world to me. Thank you💛
@@nadinemachkovech3900 My apologies, I had not seen this comment till today and it says it is 6 months old, sometimes either my computer or TH-cam does not notify me, cause trust me if I would have seen your comment, I would have responded right away.
Thank you so much for sharing your story Nadine ...... Today your words changed a life !
Thank you so much Nadine those are very strong words🥰
1 Forgiveness...forgive urself for all the mistakes
2 Trust yourself...others and the process
3 Acceptance even though I have made countless mistakes I no longer believe that I am one
We r all recovering from something.
It's up to u to choose a different life.
It's a constant process and it's not always easy.
WE ALL ARE ENOUGH!!
Bravo. Be the kind of friend that lays down their life for a good community family and every little thing gonna be alright! It'll work out!
Absolutely💛
God's healing and blessings for you and your family...and for us all! Faith Love Peace will not be contained...focus on Joy!
"Tonight, I want you to forget all your insecurities. I want you to reject anyone or anything that's ever made you feel like you don't belong or don't fit in or made you feel like you're not good enough or pretty enough or thin enough or can't sing well enough or dance well enough or write a song well enough or like you'll never win a Grammy or you'll never sell out Madison Square Garden, you just remember that you're a goddamn superstar and you were born this way!" - Lady Gaga
Good job. Bless you and thank you for helping others with your well earned gifts. "You earned what you learned."
Ted x Talk saved my life when i was at the edge thank you.
I was also in age of 17 years seriously I was making a lot of mistakes. Day by day I was becoming impolite with others
Nd one day I decided to be quite. I thought 'it's enough now!'
Nd now I'm 18 years old nd now I'm me what I ought to be that time....😊☺
A dark night of the soul for this girl and fortunately she is one of the lucky ones. What is it in our modern society that causes this demise in our children and threatens to destroy their potential to society.
"Do not assign your self-worth to how you look or what you own."
Absolutely. Really good question
This is sooooooo powerful!!! Please continue sharing your experience, you are so smart and wise !!
You are just so so brave Nadine. Thanks for putting yourself out there. Thanks for setting an example to millions of us who's voices are so burried that finding courage as such as yours seem impossible. Thanks for being unapologetically honest. ❤❤❤
Phenomenal presentation. Feeling worthy of your goals is the secret, thank you for sharing.
Thank you for your courage.
Thank you💛
Not good enough Is the main theme of my life , not good enough for my father, or any man I ever dated , at work , it’s just such a self fulfilling prophecy for me
Thanks so much for sharing. When we feel unworthy, we often make destruction life decisions. I appreciate this video so much!
Wow, this astute comment put things in a whole new light for me! I somehow never made that connection, always assuming I felt like not enough because of bad choices, never considering that it's much easier to make bad choices when one feels like you deserve them.
You are a wonderful and awesome person!!!
I feel like all of the self worth in the world doesn't matter when people look down on you. I'm 30, living with my parents, obese, unemployed, no fashion sense and no worldly ambitions. I'm nothing to everyone
I want you to know that God loves you, and whatever you’re going through it’s going to be okay, you’re everything to someone out there I promise
Thankfully I kicked the habit 4 years ago now But I suffer From, at times ,heavy depression. 😥
Thanks Ms.❤
Thank you Nadine!
Same . Recovery is sweet .
Thank you for the courage to share your story.
Praise God
Thank you for your wonderful Ted Talk, glad it worked out best for you! Sharing your story isn’t easy so again thank you!
You are so very welcome! And, your right. It isn't necessarily easy, but so worth it!!!
Well done. God bless you.
