    Divi could make it much easier if they put in the theme builder the ability to assign page for different language.
    I hope this helps.

    Two important issues on this that your clarification/guidance is needed:
    1. wpml doesn't work with some global items built on theme builder. If you create a global footer on theme builder in english, you dont have an option to translate it. Can you please enlighten this?
    2. Another issue I experienced so far is that if you create a page, and translate it, lets say in French, if you use the visual/standard/frame builder in french pages, for further adjustments, the builder is also translated in french! Is there any settings to keep the visual builder in English language as a standard for all languages? Imagine if you have to do for languages like Japanese, Greek, Thai etc...
    Sometimes you must go through this as in different languages, some text is breaking (as a result of native wording) and the use of the builder is necessary to adjust paddings/margins for better responsiveness

      Hi Spyros! This is Mohamed from the WPML team.
      We have a detailed guide that explains the process of translating sites built with Divi using WPML. You can find it here (wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/divi-builder/).
      You can follow the instructions in this section (wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/divi-builder/#translating-custom-global-header-footer) to learn more about translating custom headers and footers.
      I am not really sure what you mean by the builder being translated into French. Are you referring to Divi builder user interface texts? How are you translating your pages and editing the pages translations? To get better help, please report this issue in detail in our support forum (wpml.org/forums/forum/english-support/). Our support team will be more than happy to investigate the issue and help you in resolving it.

      @@WPML Hi Mohamed, thank you for your reply and for your guidance. As i went through, I am about right with regards to translating procedure.
      A)
      With regards to global footers, I meant for these that I built-in Divis theme builder (v. 4.0 onwards).
      B)
      With regards to my second query, yes I was referring to the builders interface texts. When i am switching between languages the builder's interface text is being also translated to the language. I have not figured out any settings to keep the divis (interface text) in english for all languages.
      Most of the times I am using the divi visual builder in each translated language to re adjust sizes, margins, paddings etc, since sometimes words are breaking...

      @@spchacal Hi :)
      a) You can translate Divi's theme builder header/footer by following the instructions here (wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/divi-builder/#translating-custom-global-header-footer). Does this work for you?
      b) This is an issue that we are aware of and working on resolving it. Unfortunately, I can't provide an ETA! Yet, you can use the workaround in this errata (wpml.org/errata/divi-builder-ui-labels-are-displayed-in-the-post-language-instead-of-the-admin-language/)

    Hi I was just wondering about RTL support. I like the tool, however if I'd like my translation to support RTL languages (e.g. Arabic) is there an option for the formating to change to support this too either in Divi or WPML? Even if I have to come in manually and switch up each module. Some object orientation will need to be mirrored to avoid it looking awkward when you hit the translate button and things like that.

    It's incredible how many difficulties I have encountered with this plugin, almost with every module that needs translation (like categories and menu modules) I encountered a problem, it is so frustrating at this point. Maybe there is a solution to every problem that I have but it shouldn't be like this from the start...

    I have used DIVI with WPML once and it was a nightmare because the divi builder also got translated and displayed in the selected language, which made it unusable because I couldn't read it anymore.
    Is there any way to keep the divi builder in English at all times on all translated pages?
    I have asked WPML and ET support this question and asked on the forums, but have been told by everyone it is not posisble.

    So do you need to create a translated version of each page on your site? assume the canonical can’t be set to the default url or should it be the transferee URL?

    • @WPML
      @WPML 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Scott! This is Mohamed from the WPML team.
      The short answer is, yes! WPML provides a wide range of features that allows you to translate your pages easily such as copying the default language text to the secondary language page(s), using automatic translation, and sending your content to be translated by professional translation services. As for canonical URLs, they are automatically set by WPML when translating your content.

    i just create a bunch more sites, and make the header appear on which pages i want with that respective language, same with the footer, now the question is how do i mirror buttons or pictures, ie, how do i flip them 180 degrees.

    • @WPML
      @WPML 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Rollex! This is Mohamed from the WPML team.
      WPML allows you to choose different images for your translated content. To mirror images must activate the WPML Media Translation addon. Simply mirror the images using the application you prefer. Then upload it as the translation if the desired image you want to mirror.
      You can find more details about media translation here (wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/media-translation/)
      I am not sure what you mean by mirroring buttons. Could you please elaborate?

    Hi, thanks for this video. Is it even possible to have different header and footer for each language. I mean in Theme Builder a header and footer for German and another header and footer for English. It is a one pager website. Thx in advance.

    • @CristianLopez-xk8pj
      @CristianLopez-xk8pj 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      it is possible, not with this plugin but if you know your way through php on wp everything is possible, you should build a different header for each language in your custom theme and then write some code to validate what version of your site you are in so that the server knows what header/footer pull and show in your templates.
