Hey Lovelies, Hope you enjoy this week's video. Tried something new, a small vlog with my kiddies & a chit chat on locs & healing! If you're in your season of isolation, what are some things that are working well for you? I've learned to accept losses, and continue to remind myself better is on its way. Better jobs, better opportunities, better loved ones & ultimately more growth & learning 🌱❤
I’ve definitely learned to be more vigilant and try not to move past boundaries with people, from the past or new, especially if not consciously on the same page. I also have learned to forgive myself for letting people close in season of isolation as it’s natural to want to let people in. But it definitely comes at cost like you were saying, impairs my boundaries as I am too much of an empath and expect the “the best” or compromise for some people. 🥲😭So I practice making my expectations and boundaries known to others upfront while also prioritizing my expectations for myself (health, finances, happiness etc) helps me keep in mind they can meet me where I’m at and I don’t have to always be pouring in to the situation. Sorry this was so much but I definitely feel you with these thoughts , and love your vids🫶🏾🩷
Loved this style video Afsa. I've locd both my boys hair and they have a cut with it. I think it's really trendy and if at some point they really hate it they can cut them off. For now it works, they look good and it's easy to manage... Stay safe x
In my opinion gel is considered a styling product, based on my locs maintenance witch is water and oil I have miss the long videos. Btw your locs looks great ❤
it’s so funny you asked your kids what they think of locs. (it’s ok to not show them on camera btw) i just started my loc process and i really feel like i’d loc my kids hair at a young age. i went through so much bs for decades trying to chemically alter and overmanipulate my hair to look different from the way God made me. i would love the next generation to avoid that.
