Been letting my hair grow wild and natural and a lot of people been hating on me for it or thinking I’m weird but in reality I’m being true to my cellf so I don’t care. Much love man.
I know this too well. I always tell the haters that my hair has tought me to not judge people, because you can´t be free if you do so. Everytime you judge somebody else you put another brick onto the wall that will imprison yourself.
i thinking about doing that too. actually realy like that idea. thats why im looking up now people forming natural dreadlocks. and this looks realy good actually :))
You are so inspiring. I have very long and thick hair and I’m so tired of brushing it and breaking my hair. I feel like the organic method will be the most empowering thing for me to do!
When I had my hair crocheted into 36 dreadlocks, then Covid hit and I decided I would let them grow on their own with no more crocheting. Mine are now 4 years old, down to the middle of my back, and I love them. Like you said they are an extension of ourselves. I love them so much, and will have them until I die. Thank you for your video. You are an awesome human, and have a great outlook. I knot this is an old video, but wanted to tell you. It is a personal journey, and one well worth it. Take care. 🥰🥰
I love your message ❤ i started my semi freeform dread journey as part of restoring my self after a life of abise and giving up parts of myself for other people's comfort. I also wanted dreadlocks and from the time I was a child i loved hippy, boho, alternative, earthy types ❤ and i always return to elements of that nature in me between seaso s of being abused and giving myself up for others in a toxic way. I am 3 weeks and 2 days in to no more brushing - not even with my hands - and i feel more myself than ever!! I love the crazy messy chaos of my hair ❤ its kust living out its freedom and is a beautiful express of what's happening in my in er life!!
I love your perspective! I've started my freeform journey 2 months ago with the same beliefs! It is a personal, spiritual journey. The power I've found in learning to embrace and love myself in my most natural state of being raises my energy to new heights.
I 100% agree with everything you said!! It surprised me on how much we have in common im only two years into natural dreads and I love them just as much as you say you do!! One love! 😀👍
I like the energy you share in this video. I started to grow my hair and to let them making knot from a few month, I have got my first forming dreadlocks from a few weeks. I also like your philosophy about your hair. Keep doing it this good mate
Thank you. Thank you for giving me the inspiration to not give in to what other kids at my school say. Often telling me I'm a white boy and need to cut my dreadlocks. Now, I can freely take pride of myself and what I look like without manipulation.
Looking amazing! I just started freeform dreads a few weeks ago! I had dreads a few years before but started them out with RIP and twist, love what you said about the nervous system, energy, and the the hair manifesting never thought of it that way, did u hear that anywhere in particular Much love from texas
Cool hair bro, I don't know if I believe dreadlocks literally gather energy, I feel like it's more of a "learn to love your natural self" but none the less I like your hair good job bro
Conner Smith hey brother! Thankyou for the love. This information has been gathered through personal experience and second hand information like books, videos and podcasts. Honestly I couldn’t pin point to anything specific. Enjoy the journey!
I'm also starting my natural dreadlocks. My back hair are starting to tangle itself into a gigantic one lock. How can I separate into more locks? I need your advice on this man.
Hey! Totally agree with the natural look, awareness and that people who live in the jungle get this hairstyle without cambs etc. One thing though. Let's say you're really living in the wild going through bushes and stuff. Isn't your hair gonna be automatically brushed? I got really long hair now (not in the picture) and spend a lot of time in nature. Climbing trees and stuff :p But I notice my hair getting stuck often and especially by moving through bushes. So you can say it's naturally to maybe brush your hair like that. I came upon a plant called gorse. I now use this to as a camb and it's getting pretty smooth. There's also a plant called burdock, and those flowers and seedpods are getting stuck in your hair. When you remove them, your hair is getting brushed in some way. It turns out this plant is really good for your hair also and works really great against dandruff. I notice ourang utangs have long hair, but they don't really have those dreads. More like thick hairlocks but not really dreads. I like the hairstyle though, maybe one day I'm going for dreadlocks but I'm expirimenting now with no poo and brush it naturally with plants.
Love you hair and your journey I am not using crotch hook but I do get retests once a month I have straight hair and am posting my journey really love your growth
How thin is too thin for straight hair dreads? My last pair started parted twist and rip, these one i started 2 inch long hair, some of the ones that art starting are less than pencil thin, maybe im seperating them too much
thx thats inspiriaring i was thinking about letting my hair just do its thing and not brush it anymore cause i hate it it hurts with my long hair and im too lazy and its boring . your hair looks realy good.
"its pretty personal, I don't have it to show anything to anybody, I tie it back" than proceed to show it to whole internet :DD just found it funny, othervise nice freeform bro, O like your filozophy behind the proces, enjoy the proces, exactly!
Nice dreads man. I noticed your glasses fell down a few times if you heat the arms with a hair dryer aprox 2 min and bend inwards to desired it will be tighter on your head follow up by tightening the hinge screws if they have screws there 👍. I want dreads but im afraid of what ppl will think i know i shouldnt but for some reason i am i think just because its such a big change etc. I know some ppl will judge and dislike. But I'll see im definitly not rulling it out because of that but its a lingering thing. I love everything and agree with what you said
It's really cool dude :) I think this is your style...it's make u different then other) P.s. I'm from Russia, so I do many mistakes when I've written :D
Li vorrei fare anche io (ho già avuto quelli fatti con l'uncinetto)... Cosa mi consigli? che shampoo e come li asciugo durante il processo? E' un problema se ci passo le dita per asciugare i capelli più in fretta?
could anybody help! I have been free forming for about 7 months now and most of my hair is matted but the under side [hair closest to my neck] has not made any progression does anybody know why this might be and any solutions
How did you separate them? I'm confused you said not touched in anyway but also that you separated them? Obviously it would all turn to one large beaver tail if it were not seperated.
I might have not expressed my self well. I mean that the dreads have formed without any manipulation but obviously I have separated, hence did something. You can check out the how to separate video on my channel. Enjoy
do you ever get dandruff or a very itchy scalp ? how do you treat it ? im freeforming but i had to go back to using some kind of soap for my scalp do stop the itching
hi Piero i just started my natural wool rubbing dread journey, its been a 8 days so far and i want to ask you how you went about washing it in the beginning...im not sure if i should scrub the hair how you just explained right now with the fingers, or to let the hair start forming and just let the hair get wet....i haven't washed the hair so far and i don't want the knots to start getting loose if i scrub or mess with the hair while touching it....so i would like to know if its a good idea to just let it sink in with water and not touch the hair or to just target the root and don't touch the hair itself...thanks and keep sharing your videos...I like your content...
I would do the scrubbing in the early stages. in the long run it doesn't matter, if you let them do their thing they will knot up wether you touch them or not. bless man
I started my dreadlocks one year ago and the look exactly like yours but different it’s crazy, everyone’s are unique. I did mine all natural, meaning I washed them a little baking soda and stopped combing them and now they’re just growing ❤️☮️
Also, make sure you are shampooing with a dread shampoo. Dreadlockshampoo.com has the best I've found. My hair refused to dread until I started using the liquid shampoo from that site. It's also a small business run by one amazing woman who started making completely natural products after her husband died of cancer. Hope that helps!
My hair has been falling out since I got my tonsils removed when I was about 23 years old. I am now 31 and I really want to just do this. I always wear a baseball cap and cut my own hair from the embarrassment of having thin hair and a Fer bald spots. I want to start this process,l for myself and to be happy and accept myself as I am.🥰
Do it bro, breathe and enjoy yourself, life is beautiful and unique for each perspective.. Any one who is willing to nay say about your appearance, has their own inconsistencies inside in which they have not faced, so they project outwardly. Much love and I hope you inhabit your uniqueness fully! Peace.
Can you speak more about when you say you have separated them or else you would have the one big dread? How literal are you speaking of, do you think some people can do freeform without seperating?
I will do a video on this topic. however, in a nutshell, of course, you can freeform without separating but you will end up with 2 or 3 really thick locks. It all depends on what do you want
I want the same hair ..I saw on amazon they sell a dreadlock machine maker its like $170 bucks ..youre not trying to fit in..no culture has a patent on a hair style..Vikings had dreadlocks not just Africans ..even in china its been around thousands of years
May I ask how long usually takes to atach one dread to another by the roots? I have dreads and i'm so afraid of waking up one day with a one massive dread in my head .-. By the way excuse my bad english. Bless!!
You'd have to go a LONG time without separating for that to happen. Also, I don't know if in the past few months you've started freeforming, but I'm moving up on my first year later this month, and one thing I've found is that dreads get smaller as they mature. Some of mine looked absolutely MASSIVE at about the 4-5 month mark, but I left them alone. Now I have only one that I still debate on separating, but I can't bring myself to do it.

Actually started my journey now. And I'm excited for how it's gonna look like. Parts of my hair are already dreading up :))
Dude you have the coolest freeform/neglect dreads I've seen on youtube! I hope mines end up looking just as good!😃
You are so inspiring. I have very long and thick hair and I’m so tired of brushing it and breaking my hair. I feel like the organic method will be the most empowering thing for me to do!
