I watched all 3 videos in the row and my conclusion is this ! This is a drummer of professional level , great mathematician because he does hundreds of calculations per minute and of course an established musician , with a little help from technology he can make wonders in front of you !!!! Well done !!!!
Blundell is a legend, played drums and been recorded on some of the coolest tracks of the 90's and this is what he does to pay the mortgage now guys, lucky to see the guy in action
Atonal Measure I if he is that much of a legend, he is likely doing thisfor fun, keeping his skills tuned and getting his name out there to the newest artist/groups, just saying, true "legends" really only pkay when they want (its called royalties)
@@stickgarrote8582 royalties are actually a lot more complicated than that, because apparently even the vast majority of artists (those who have yet to receive platinum album status) do not receive royalties either (from their song being played on radio, etc.) but could *possibly* get some percentage of album sales, so, I suppose if this guy was enough in demand (and smart) he could sacrifice an initial payout for longer-term returns - much like the cast of Friends did when they renegotiated one of their contracts. But, if that is something he could have reasonably demanding in his contracts, I suppose that demands on how much he was in demand.
Well, the sad truth is that the ones who would demand him (recording artists) wouldn’t even know he’s been blackballed because the production company has a policy against paying royalties. Session musicians are invisible to the paying audience, so I’m guessing even the most sought-after ones have very little leverage/say in what the contract details are. Their way or the highway, really. There’s always the guy who will do it their way and be ”ok enough” if someone gets a little too demandy.
sublime skills....love the way he looks like he is not making the music, almost like he is giving credit to the kit.....but anyone who knows how hard it really is to play will see this man's gifts.....would love to see Chris Coleman try this kit too
It started in the early 70s, with a machine called a Moog Sensitizer. From that to electronic keyboards in rock bands and then to techno-_____ whatever you want.
watched all his demos.. It's 11 years ago but it feels a new tech to me with all he had done with that edrums.. lol kudos! he demo`d that professionally..
It's a electronics/entertainment trade show.and he is demoing product. The non-pleasure indifferent, stiff, sphincter tight is the typical of British stuck up and fist up their ass attitude.
@aboriani it’s probably the annual NAMM exhibition or a similar fair around the world. People just need to say “I was there” instead of being interested in products and promotions 🤷♀️
What is this guy name ? Does he still exist I want to watch him more and more, broooooo you are super talented. Can't wait for the next video. But lol this was 10 years ago
Saw this 9yrs ago Loved it then.. Thanks TH-cam for recommending I watch it again 2019!! Still AWESOME!! Craig Blundell FLARE at 0:56 WOW!!! Love that dudes face after his sick drum fill... he's like fuck that shit i'm outta here!
Craig is incredibly talented. Forget the fact that he's playing on e-drums, he's an amazing percussionist. But, no one there can see that unfortunately.
somebody once heard an Art Tatum (jazz pianist player) record and said 'I love these guys' as they thought it was a duet. When they realised it was just a single guy playing the piano they never played again.
Looking back from 2022 with my TD-17 I wonder why he didn't play any "pure" drums, some rock or metal stuff? I don't know the old models, but with the TD-17 - as the more or less _current_ lower-mid-range model - you get some very decent and natural sounds with a great dynamic. Wasn't the old one good in that regard?
First off that was amazing and sadly I've never seen a single e-drum set at a professional concert they only seem to good for selling more E-Drum sets.
I can only say, great. I specific love the last demo, with the left hand playing from left to right, and back to left again. tik, tik, tug, tik tik, tug, tik, tik, tug..............
This guy's ability probably makes people there feel they could never do that so that equipment is probably not for them. One of the problems of being TOO GOOD for the demo! Fabulous to watch though.
Different angles wood be nice not just straight in front can't see total hand or foot movements... U R ON🔥brotherman! I smashed the 👍, while u smashed the 🥁 .... YEAH!!
This guy has to be the number one worldwide for this job!!
He can raise the sales up to 1000%

Amazing comment, Sir! :)
Awesome 👌 and yes he can !!!
This guy is a percussive jedi.
And I'm jealous!
@@drd6416 The new drummer in Steve Hackett band.

@@RobertlaustinMeDad-D-Beats The key is in the video description: "session drummer". No royalties, even if he played on a hundred top 10 hits.

It’s not Blundell
Craig Blundell is a genius and a master at his craft.
0:58 is the most mesmerising thing I have ever seen a drummer do
Craig is by far the beast roland artist and possibly one of the most creative drummers going. He just pushes the boundarys!!!!!!!!
Typical musician gets told "turn it down" has a cheeky look, then turns it up again. Loving your work!.

No expert by any means but my ears were born loving the sound of DRUMMING & i think he plays very clear clean & fast. Thank you...
A 9 years a go video, and i'm here in 2019 never know this kind of instrument exist
It started in the early 70s, with a machine called a Moog Sensitizer. From that to electronic keyboards in rock bands and then to techno-_____ whatever you want.
Same
They have a whole line of Roland vdrums and drum machines
This Guy has always played the Drums like a madman what a pro this guy is. Creig Blundell WOW, Wow, WoW,!!!
watched all his demos.. It's 11 years ago but it feels a new tech to me with all he had done with that edrums.. lol kudos! he demo`d that professionally..
Where is this guy playing at?? Valium addicted convention?? Jesus, not a single person seemed to be interested, except that girl in part one

Valium addicted convention XD
Yeah, talk about unappreciated talent. Must be so draining doing anything for such an emotionless audience.
Prob the 2k price tag on it.

What a difference between the two kids - the little girl in Pt1 was in awe, while boy at the back to the right is not impressed by anything.
imagine judging the reactions of little kids and getting mad about it lol
He keep his cool.
He's trying to be cool. But totally putting this on his Santa's wish list for the next twenty years.
I suppose since the 80’s, keyboard players have not needed a drummer. Now a drummer doesn’t need a keyboard player!
Chris_Audittr2108 YES
Chris_Audittr2108 us drummers have taken revenge
In the end, playing together is the most fun.
I donlt think so if you have skills on the guitar and bass and someone that kills it on the drums. you can make something catchy.
at the end there will be only an electronic whistle, which does not need any drums or keys.
What is this guy name ? Does he still exist I want to watch him more and more, broooooo you are super talented. Can't wait for the next video. But lol this was 10 years ago
still here ;)
Wow this guy has talent just falling out of him. Really inventive & getting the best out of the instruments. Excellent musicianship
vikingmog nb
This guy can be a full band on his own 🙌🏾👏🏾
Do these people in the crowd not UNDERSTAND how f#cking good this is!!!!!
I've never wanted to be a drummer more. This is cool af. 😎
Apparently the opposite booth was TAMA drums.
They asked him to keep the volume down because it was hard to advertise their own.
This guy is talented, he can go with any genre! Nice
Its never to early for Drum And Bass
Saw all three parts where is this guy now doing his own gig a next level musician !!
He has been in Steve Wilson's band and next year will be in Steve Hackett's band.
After 10 years he is still relevant. CHOPS!
too kind, thank you
This guy made me buy a V-Drum with SPD 30. Amazing talented guy!
Very talented man , great salesman as well!.
Came for the demo, stayed for his left/right hand independence.
Eflatmajor7sharp11 that’s one way of describing any percussion technique
This guy makes me want to get a live-band rave going. Astonishing
This is the guy who played all the tracks from The Matrix... for sure ..
I can stand there watchin' all day!

You just have to be a good drummer to know how to use all of this Tech stuff and imagination for creativity. Great videos.
Craig is incredibly talented. Forget the fact that he's playing on e-drums, he's an amazing percussionist. But, no one there can see that unfortunately.
i have e drums for 10.000 and i am playing viking music and viking metal its the best drumms for recording etc...
On the contrary, I bet everyone there can see that.
It’s not Craig, it’s Jack Bennett. You can buy his lessons at icanplaydrums.com
Your awesome Craig. Your hands are so fast. I seen it over n over again.
Did he build a time machine as well? How was this 11 years ago already?
that kid in the background was like , dad i want this drumset, dad: yeah hold up i sell our 2 cars
Based on the look on his face, he would play it for 15 minutes and then run off to his X-Box.
Fucking love this
You knew the Jam Session was getting serious, when Craig used to come down, happy days White Lyon!
Off to see Hackett in the autumn, pretty sure he's on the drums. Can't wait.
That’s cross hands fill at 1 min in was the most mesmerising thing ever.
Damn Does he have a Spotify or SoundCloud?

What a fantastic guy... geez... i'm in awe
I had no idea Kenneth Branagh could play drums like this!
Astonishingly Beautiful
This guy reminds me of my best friend/brother. Different music but style is the same RIP J Mcnatt
0:58 guy on left "Ok I'm done, never play drums anymore"
noticed that too, lol
2 big guys yes.. this looks like too much work! I am hungry! see ya
exactly what i was thinking lol

XD lol I appreciate that you made this comment very PG13. To me it looked like "f*ck this sh*t I'm out".
I still enjoy the feel of real cymbals. The action on electric drums are amazing!

GREAT DRUM SET AND GREATER DRUMMER 👌🙌
