The seeder looks a mighty yoke. And I'll never cease to be amazed at how folks down my way don't take advantage of disc harrows for Reseeding a bit more!!
OMG Phil! What an extensive amount of information about grass seed. The spring harrow looks very familiar. Holy smokes! There is quite a big stone pile at the end of the field. Where do the black plastic bags come from? I was surprised to see them. Beautiful! Now you just need a bit of rain to germinate that lovely seed. Thank you for this wonderful video.
"Bro I'm going to leave you here...." and THEN the sky opens up. On Bro. He was a bit put off by being left to begin with, I can imagine there were some choice words when you went back to pick him up all wet and soggy and grumpy. lol
Nice one phil, Bro was getting a bit agro, i hope u didn't leave him in the field when the rain started, great video, everything came out so well, keep at her lad!
I'm just looking through your past videos and I must say Bro is some guy. If that was my younger brother I'd whip him with nettles 😂😂, however his comebacks do make me laugh. Loving your content💪👍
Fair play Phil. You should incorporate your brother more into videos. Nice to see the interaction between the 2 of ye. Great vid and keep up the good work.
Mighty work Farmer Phil, I have a 6m Einbok spring harrow but needs a full refurb. What brand is your harrow? What brand seeder is it, the air seeder looks a super job.
Ever try the harrowing with the power Harrow.. We give all fields one run to break it up then the second run we power Harrow and sow the seed. So two runs and the field is sowed and then fertiliser and roller. Works a treat. Any sod will just rot away and the it does be perfect when done
We always found the power Harrow to leave the field wetter than it was before due to it creating a pan particularly in our heavier soils. Hence we quit using it for the tillage
@@FARMERPHIL3690 OK. We have done it on Hills in wicklow and last week done it a low ground.. Would be wet ground in the winter but it left a great job once rolled. What's the name of the tiller you jave
Reason why bro was pissed off when you told him to pick stones was because he see’s it as Oh my big brother is giving out to me or is bossing me around😂😂
I believe they are going to fix up the 6290 it was slowly losing parts but since they cleaned out the workshop i believe he said they plan on getting it back working as for the 3690 id guess they just prefer to use the 6499 as it has more creature comforts and presets ect
Hi Philip and all the gang. Eh!!!! What’s the story with the Wolsey? Is father Phil going to restore it ? What other gems do you have stashed around the farm ? That would make a wonderful video A snapshot of all the old stuff ?
Well done Phil don’t think your brother likes tractor work I loved the tractor work rushed home from school to drive the tractor taking in bales hay and straw or any other work
You ground seems rife with stones.. I’m not a farmer buy trade.. but have you ever thought of running a stone remover/catcher across your land? Get rid of a lot of stones then have stones for drainage gravel maybe?
@@FARMERPHIL3690 - wow 30k that’s some serious coin that.. yeah it definitely pays to get bro to pic them 🤣 is there no one around that could possibly rent/borrow one for the day? Even if you did 1 or couple of fields to see the difference it would make to the field & how much stone would come off the field too. Be interesting to see.. thanks for the reply 👌👍

The beginning of the video was filmed a week before the shovel gave up hence its in it😂
That explains it! :)
Should ask wbd Massey dealer for a maschio disk on demo
Great video. We had ours seeded with one of those. The guy used a two wheel drive made it easy turned on the headlands.
Good morning lovely day 🌞 Will have to watch later 😘 Xxxx.Hope you had a nice day of and Liv .💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
That really is a super piece of kit Phil. Super job. Looking forward to seeing how the grass comes up. 👌🏼

You did a fantastic job with getting the grass seed in, Martin from Nottingham 🇬🇧
Hi Phil, Great patience with your Bro! We’ve got 3 teenagers here and I know it’s not easy for us and them😆.

Great way of reseeding. Look like Great job done by disc Harrow
The bit with your brother was hilarious 😂🤣
Great vedio 👍 Thanks, which of the Liffey Mills seed would you recommend for over seeding 🤔
Great job Phil.
Father Phil knows his stones from his onions 😅👍🏻
re bonjour encore une belle vidéo , bon courage a vous pour la suite 😍👍👍👍
My father works in Liffey mills. Can’t bait the overalls with the Massey on the back

Love the vids I entered the competition
Interesting video🤠

Another good video fair play to ya for doing them now good man 👍👍
Great video
Great video phill 👌👍
Great vid as always :) Gonna be interesting to see it grow and how it's gonna yield :)
There must be some app that allows you to fly a drone over a field and spot rocks.
What’s happened to the 3690?? And is the 6290 in the shed ever going to be fixed or is it a donar machine now for parts? Great video anyway!! 👍

Good vid sir. Looks like a nice job. 👍 Stay safe 🏴
Bro is getting handy with the drone great video lads, whats to happen with the shovel will you repair it again or is it terminal this time?
You ever just used the grass harrow seeder on sprayed off grass with out any cultivation
We did yes and it come up patchy due to being attacked by frit fly
@@FARMERPHIL3690 so you wouldn't recommend doing it
Ay Phil wa ever u do for urself it always rains
We were there that day u were harrowing the field
Bro looks like he is about to go hulk mode at 12 mins lol
Hi nice video
what percentage stones from the disc harrow method v conventional plough and harrow
How many runs with disc did u give it phil???
2 runs. One deep one shallow but I overlapped the 2nd run so it’s more like 3 runs
@@FARMERPHIL3690 we disced our fri and yday, and still struggling to break them scraws even after 3 runs with same disc harrow!
@@FARMERPHIL3690 did u shake fertiliser on it phil?
Will you be overseeding with that tine Harrow phil?
Does bro need his comfort blanket? 🤣🤣🤣
Hey Phil, what tractor do ye have has the most horsepower?
6499

The Wolsey belongs to my mother and is running and driving may need a touch up on the chrome but it’s in good nic other than that.
👍🏻
Are u ever considering a forage/ loading wagon for the farm
Is that the veneri loader going again
Interesting
Phil i dont know how u keep a straight face when bro start cussing he love picking them stones dont he
The green bags are germinal, not liffey mills?
Liffey Mills run out of bags and had some of their seed bagged in germinal bags
Sorry don’t do instagram- but would love to win the seed for my small livestock farm in Dorset, England
What loading shovel do you have now
Is the veneri loader going again
Phil explins thing great u can understand him

Claas 880 cool
Hope bro was not caught in the rain would not have lifted his mood 🤣
He was drowned when I went back up for him🙈😂
@@FARMERPHIL3690 that would have made good content 😝
What settings for grass seed
What are the terms and conditions of the competition? Can someone from say France enter the competition with a fair chance of winning the seed?
Unfortunately the seed can’t be shipped outside of Ireland. My bad I should mentioned it in the video
Shovel going again or an old video?
Record a week before the shovel gave up
Please put up a after video in 6 weeks time please phil to see the end result.
Hopper empty how do u no u had a enough to finish field
I was watching the sight glass on the hopper and the seed coming out the spouts
👍
What happened to the 3690
Did you like the honey 🍯 that you got last week
Yes it's very nice. Thank you very much.
Poor Bro. 😁😁🤣 I personally have picked a few 1000 tons of stones. Hate it, get a rock picker?
(a proper one not your bro😁)
Good ex crises for him keep him in shape 😂
Farmer Phil you class 890 can it do 40k ?
I don’t think so
Ok tahnks
Some job
Poor Eric
😂
You ground seems rife with stones.. I’m not a farmer buy trade.. but have you ever thought of running a stone remover/catcher across your land? Get rid of a lot of stones then have stones for drainage gravel maybe?
I priced one of them and it was 30k for a bog standard 2.5m wide one. It’s cheaper to convince bro to pick them😂😂
