Those days when Anglo Indians spoke the way John D'Souza (probably a non Anglo Indian) is trying hard to mimic are well and truly over. The remaining Anglo Indians of India are decently educated, blended harmoniously in main stream society and are placed well enough to have no more representation on the basis of community, which is testament to us silently going forward as a community in progress. It will bide well with Suma and John D'Souza who are trying hard to be more Anglo Indian than the Anglo Indians themselves, to project the community, even though we're a handful left, for who we truly are, now and our contributions in the past in the field of sports, defence, posts and telegraph, railways, police, education and health care sectors too. Acknowledge and celebrate rather than do stuff like this.
One thing that reminds me of my Anglo-Indian teacher shouting at us in English-Tamil combo (back in the early 70s) "Children don't play in the Veyil 🤣🤣🤣"
I hope the camera would have been more on the girl ..she had the most hilarious expression of trying not to laugh .. she could not hold back once this guy started speaking. And the guy was soooo awesome..I have grown up with these anglo Indians in Mumbai and let me tell you he was accurate in his depiction ..they are so laid back and fun people always want to have a good time .. miss those days...can we have more of these videos and make fun of all .. we have tons in Indian community.

Hi Suma……. I’m an Anglo Indian and live in London now, but I can assure you that my family and friends do not speak in this way, English is our mother tongue, we all attended English schools and are highly educated and held top jobs in India…you want to know about our culture we have traced our family tree back to the 17th century and the names were all English even back then….We are a very hospitable community and share whatever food and drink we have in our homes to anyone who visits ….our doors are always open to anyone who visits us, and yes we love to party and play the guitar sing and dance but I don’t understand why anyone would make fun of it….this person whom you are interviewing is giving you a wrong impression of us Anglos and I find it very offensive ……his surname tells me that he is a Goan they come from Portuguese origin where as the Anglo Indians have English blood in them…. I do have a sense of humour and can take a joke, but I don’t find this interview of both of you laughing at us funny at all.
I agree with you most people in our country do not know what a joke is, almost everything ends up in a communal colour, most are academically educated with no humor side at all!!!
Let me request DESIUSA and the likes of Suma who put this online to imagine the consequences of this going viral. The Anglo Indians who yet live in India could become the targets of the Hindus who are likely to take offence at the way their Gods were described. The acting and utterances that pass off as comedy make the community look like fools. There are many of us in India who are educated and serve in the healthcare and education sectors. So also there are many of us in the armed forces. We speak excellent English and Hindi in addition to regional languages. Most of us are in the middle and upper middle income groups. People grow up its just a comedy. Laugh and forget it. Russell Peters makes fun of all nationalities / cultures and degrades all of them to the core and yet everybody laughs at his jokes and pays $1000+ to go and watch him live. If he is considered funny so is John Dsouza. Treat all comedians equal.
This fellow D'Souza is a disgrace and let me tell you there was nothing funny in that interview his very accent will tell you you that he is a goan no Anglo Indian not even the less fortunate who have not had more than the basic education will speak the way he does this is a misconception and as an Anglo Indian I strongly object to this
Because unfortunately, many Anglos of the older generations, were like this. Im of Anglo descent & so I get this as some of my uncles are like this-rude &. Condescending.
If some of your older anglo family members are rude & objectionable, then its nice to see someone like him, sending them up. A few of my elderly uncles were like this man
@prophetkarl i totally agree with you :) he's just a jealous man, but he's prob an anglo aswell coz of this surname but if he is baggin his our race then he's sad and needs a frkn life :)
Bore vudoile. Superb. This video will make Indians and others like Anglo Indians even more. He looks and sounds like Goan. Both of them

he doesn't look like an Anglo but sure does sound like one
reminds me of my school friends
Just curious what according you "looks" anglo-Indian
He looks and sounds like Goan
I love the way he says Hindu buggers and Muslim buggers.
I just wish he didn't break character at the end - but that was brilliant - and i have watched this soo many times - and it's still damn good.

No hard feelings. Hilarious! It would have been cool if we could have seen a bit more of Suma's reactions...
Anglo Indian my foot - this guy's Goan but it's good to see him aspiring to be Anglo!

DSouza is NOT an AI name. It can be Goan, Mangalorean or East India. Further, the accent is highly exaggerated and definitely NOT Anglo Indian.
This fellow is not an Anglo Indian ....... and I really do not know who he has been mixing with ....
He is no Anglo India.....he is typical Goan with an accent.
Quite literally...
