    Damn dude that beat really came together in an unexpected and dope way. Nice.
    I knew I'd love the SP404 MK2 before I even got it and, when I did, I was correct. I have the same certainty about the Push 3. I'm really enjoying seeing peoples' processes on it because it's reinforcing my plan to save up. Good stuff, man.

      @@DylanParisMusic I'm definitely keeping an eye on developments as I save haha.
      Honestly, man, I'm a gigging and session keyboardist and piano teacher and the SP is probably my second most used musical device behind that. Everything I do always goes through Ableton/Push 2 to finish and finalize sequencing etc., but the sounds I'm able to create with the SP are unmatched. Even when I'm running a session on Ableton, I'm using the SPs (both the SX and MK2) a lot. I think I have a unique process, but it's much more than just an effects unit. I honest play my SPs like synths, in a sense.

    I currently have an op1 field ( dodging the incoming tomatoes) and its limited a lot in a fun way. I can deal with it for what I want to do with it-which is play experimental noise music at venues. Takes dedication and practice to master the tape without an undo. Lots of work around. Buuut…you got me eyeing the push3. I played the push 2 before and I was bored. So my dream is to perform live one day with one device. Albeit the most fun and capable. Choices at this moment: op1, octa ( maybe with 0 coast), or make noise black and gold. Any advice?

    I cant deny I do want to purchase it but im gonna wait to see what update hardware packs they have at the end of the year. Not being able to use VST's is a bit of a deal breaker as the packs from ableton sound lame and are made 10 years ago it seems. The battery is weak too. I really wish they had a touch screen too, imagine controlling assignable XY pads on the touchscreen.

    this is really great to see, thanks for the video.
    Got my eye on the P3 now and i'm really interested in the song building possibilities using external gear...record audio separately into the Push 3 (Juno6, Prophet 6, TR8S..) and use it to structure and arrange tracks. Im wondering how close I can get to not having to touch a DAW for final processing and adding flourishes. Seems the P3 could go pretty far?
    How do you think it would stand up to longer tracks with more varied, intricate arrangement styles, epic 8-9min sorta stuff?

    • @DylanParisMusic
      @DylanParisMusic  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Honestly it might be a bad fit for that work as you can currently only access the UI of session mode. Hypothetically you can record into the arranger but to access what you recorded you need to be in Ableton software. So you’d be recording either 8 minute audio loops per track or sending audio to an arranger you couldn’t see

    • @Nosh_Feratu
      @Nosh_Feratu 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@DylanParisMusic Yeah, it doesn't really seem to offer much beyond where i'm currently at in terms of arrangement, certainly not £1900 worth anyway. You think the Akai Force is better for song arranging at present, I know youre a fan of it.

      Same bro! I got a push 2 and a few months later the push 3 came out. I still can’t fathom spending 2k for such a tiny screen but I am planning on getting the controller version for the MPE. And although I have an MPC x se - might consider getting a force. For portability and a link between MPC/ Ableton. Good thing you can upgrade to standalone if necessary. I was using my push 2 the other day working with my own guitar/efx samples and slicing it up via push 2 and it did make the whole process way more fun. It was also fun to sequence on the fly. The push 2 is still fun. I’m loving the sp404 MK II atm. Been loading up my own samples and having such fun with it. That’s been one of my favourite bang for bucks purchase in a long time. So good for a library of your own samples . Got some with MPC/ universal audio guitar and bass and lots of pedals/ drum machines etc. so good.

    Hey man! I found your video while going down a huge rabbit hole about whether or not I should get this or the MPC live MK 2. I noticed that you have experience with both platforms. Which of the two would you recommend for an Ableton user? I produce, mix, and master exclusively in Ableton, and am looking for a little bit more flexibility.

    • @DylanParisMusic
      @DylanParisMusic  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If you use Ableton and want to continue to work in Ableton there is no choice. The Push 3 wins hands down. If you want something standalone to use by itself and then export stems out of, the MPC is a compelling option. But if you’re all in on Ableton, especially if you own suite already, I can’t see an argument for the MPC over the push 3

    I never see the complete projects from all the youtube Push 3 videos. I do see a lot of "what the Push 3 can do" videos and tinkering. For a $2k device, I would expect some fire beats and increased productivity by now. This makes me skeptical.
