Brilliant ! I'm floating the idea of using a M3 chassis and mate it to a cool vintage pickup truck. Certainly your channel (one of the few if not the only one ?) is an inspiration !

Thanks really appreciate it. An old pickup truck is on my short list too!

Really looking forward to this one. l'm all for the ev conversion of old cars. Especially with a suspension upgrade. Sure you lose the exhaust sound but you get used to that pretty quick. There are ways you can keep that if you really want to.
An electric converted car gives you all the mod cons just like a restomod but there's an extra benefit. V2L.
Most people rarely drive their custom car so it's parked in the garage most of the time. A big battery just sitting there unused. Makes sense to use it to power your house. Something l'm investigating right now.
Don't worry about the video schedule. Just when you get time is totally fine by me.

Thanks! Appreciate you being here and wish more people would think like you! Bi-directional charging makes alot of sense to me, especially in a secondary car or hotrod.

Everybody thinks they want a classic car, until they actually drive one. Modern cars drive and handle so much better we forget how crappy most of those old cars were. Sure, cool to look at but pretty sketchy and unsafe on the highway. Only makes sense to upgrade suspension, steering and brakes along with the drive train. You are taking it to a whole other level. Looking forward to seeing your progress. Screw the Luddites.

Thanks for the encouragement! I agree, I could daily drive these cars after, they are that good!

Also, if you have a minute, i'd be interested to know what is the total weight of a M3 or MY rolling chassis, just to have an idea of how much weight we gain/can carry on top.

Are you thinking of stripping down a model 3 or building a chassis similar to how I do? My last customer did have his car weighed so I will inquire what it came in at...

Initial high-level thought was stripping down a Model 3, if that's doable and what's left is structurally sound.
