  • Snow Removal with Massey Ferguson S6714 Tractor. Plowing Deep snow with 14ft Snow Wolf Quattro Plow. We were down equipment at a few of our other sites so the equipment that was normally at this college that we plow got sent to those places. Because of this we utilized the Masseys high road speed of 33 mph to bounce back and forth at the college doing open ups (and eventually a full clear with a Doosan DL300) and the site its normally at. We ended up getting around 15" of wet heavy snow which was hard to clear but luckily the tractor kept up on high priority areas so when it came to final clears it dint take us as long.
    Video footage is from my co worker Chris Gallus!
    Shot with a go pro 11, hope you enjoy!

    33MPH?!?!?!?! I get 31 out of my M7 on the flat, 32.5 downhill. i love "flying" by loaders.

      33 just on the downhill haha and this was one of my coworkers that said he got it up to that. So maybe misheard him but I know it was 30 something! Sorry for the mixup! Usually cruises at mid 20s though. Regardless super quick and definitely does laps around our loaders

    Never enough snow. One would think it could snow every day of the year and drop at least a foot a day 2 feet would be better.

    Where was the deep snow??

  • @Michigan-thrifter

    Why are you loosing so much snow between the plow and wings, like a foot in on both sides?

    • @ChrisTanton7
      @ChrisTanton7  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      That’s where the pivot point is for the wings. There’s a small gap inbeteeen the main blade and wings and all they have to block snow from spilling out is a rubber block. So snow will get pushed behind the block sometimes. It’s just a crappy design they have on the plow but it gets the job done. Yes you’ll have to make a clean up pass for the small rows occasionally but they are cheaper than others that are similar, so you get what you pay for. They are good plows for the price but there are some minor inconveniences like that on them.

      @Michigan-thrifter ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@ChrisTanton7 makes sense now, I run a 16' back blade on my pick up and it also looses a small amount of snow on the pivot point.

    • @ChrisTanton7
      @ChrisTanton7  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah any plow with wings is going to lose some snow on those pivot points this is just exaggerated because of the design. All in all it’s usually not much so it’s not that annoying but with larger amounts of snow it’ll become more noticeable!

      @@ChrisTanton7 falls into the engineer that doesn't know what end of the screw driver to hold on to. If they used these products day to day they'd probably understand how to create a tighter pivot Point.

      15” in the untouched areas is deep for where I’m at! I’ll put the exact amount in title next time 🤙

    Please show outside camera views so we can actually see the tractor working, not just a windshield blade view for the entire video. It gets boring and can't see much.

    i don t know man . u have big places , u need a big loader with 12 24 metal pless , ur wasting to much time with a farm tractor. it s going to take u three times as long to plow . if u had a loader with metall u would be more efficient and faster
