    Have you ever considered updating your older videos to include your voice over? I love the show, and I often watch it in the background while I am doing other things and since the older episodes don't include your vocal reading I have a harder time following along. Maybe I am alone with this problem, but I always think it would be great to have the old episodes updated in this way. Thanks for all the great content. Your channel is one of my favorites on TH-cam. Keep up the good work.

      Thanks for your kind words. I have thought about redoing some of them with voice overs but the biggest issue is finding time to remake them.

      I come from the future and I watch these reading the text in Mark's voice :-D

    At that time I got the Amiga game and, believe me, the scroll was pretty sluggish too:/

    Alan Grier of ICE, publicly apologised to Amiga owners for doing this games graphics using DEGAS Elite on the Atari ST.

    Ha, the C64 version looks like it's using the exact same game engine as the OutRun port.

      I wouldn't be surprised if it is.

      Yeah, the Turbo Outrun engine... but they have improved it: more cars on the road!

    You have forgot about Sega Genesis version "Super H.Q."/" Chase H.Q.II" that is sort of a remake of this game .
    It even uses some graphics from the arcade original!

    • @RetroCore
      @RetroCore  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's actually a completely different game based upon the 3rd arcade game. I was actually going to cover that in an unreleased Battle of the Ports along wit the SFC version.

      Retro Core After re-playing the entire series i can surely say , that "Chase H.Q. II" for Sega Genesis is just an upgraded version of the original Chase H.Q. with some new features such as car selection.
      And the SNES "Super Chase H.Q." is a very deviated from the original and cut down port of "Super Chase :Criminal Termination"

    The C64 version is nice, but the inexplicably jaunty (and ad you rightly say, bland) in game tune always annoyed me.

    I don't understand why the home port's movement controls are being picked on for control as they are all done in the same way on the the PC Engine and Master System versions too.
    Edit Just remembered there's an option to change the controls, but they're still not perfect.

    Unbelievable, it took many odd additions to the search terms to show an actual comparison video for S.C.I. I had to add the word Atari to compare to make it work lol

      Really? Man, that is crazy. Glad you finally managed to see the video though.

    Always preferred the original. At least they fixed the swastikas for this one.

    pleases . how can I find this game with the complete sound I only fond that with not complete sound like this

    • @RetroCore
      @RetroCore  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you mean the arcade version? Try playing it on FinalBurn Alpha, not Mame. Sometimes that will help.

    • @abohana
      @abohana 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your quick response. What I mean is that I have this version of the sounds in English and I want to get a copy like this that you have sounds in Japanese

    • @RetroCore
      @RetroCore  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh, I see. Hmm, I think my Japanese version came from this French site www.gametronik.com/site/emulation/mame/C/16/
      You should be able to find the game on this page. If not, try under "s" for SCI. That site lists all versions of the roms separately so you'll need to download each part one it's own, for example the main game followed by the variants such as Japanese version.

    I never quite liked the arcade one and you described it well: messy.

      Taito’s games always tended to be a mixed bag for the most part. Some are good, some are mediocre, and some are just bad. This falls into the mediocre side.
      Overall, Taito is extremely overrated imho

    There is no Amstrad CPC version, only the GX4000/cartridge version. . Unlike Gremlin, Empire and maybe Titus, Ocean would never make CPC versions of cartridge games..

    • @RetroCore
      @RetroCore  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      But wasn't batman by ocean just a rehash of the CPC version?

    • @robsmall6466

      @@RetroCore Batman, Operation Thunderbolt ( guessing that the original comment is implying GX4000 to 464/6128 conversions. For example the very rare SCI and Pang )

    Natsume are so talented. They dropped around 5 games on the SNES which are genuinely the only 5 games I envy from that system. I wish they graced the Mega Drive with some stuff. Is it just me or does Nancy look a bit overworked now?

    • @RetroCore
      @RetroCore  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Natsume are fantastic developers. I'm so sad that they have Atari attached to their name now. Yet again the Atari brand leaching off the talents of another company.

    • @iwanttocomplain
      @iwanttocomplain 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RetroCore I read about that and it's pretty complicated. There are in fact two Nastume's. But Atari are just a publisher now. Why do you hate them?

    Bloody hell the ST version did you a favour by crashing 😂 Awful sound FX, fit-inducing sense of movement at times.
