As KRS said “take the wackest song and make it better. 2 great beats. Couldn’t hear the filtered vocals on the first beat though when you played them in. Could hear them on the record when you sampled them but not when you triggered the pads
i would say the audio technica lp60x... has a decent needle on it for sampling... this is a budget record player... if you want to get into interchangeable needle cartridges than i would check out the stanton str8... then youre going to have to get yourself a needle cartiridge as well... if you want top notch sound id go with the ortofons... they range from 200-600
i always prefer the xl cuz thats my first born, but to be totally honest the x is a beast though it does lack the punchy warmer sound and sounds a buit thin theres so much you can do with your samples to manipulate them, also the loading time is really fast and the options to be able to store all your drums breaks on several sc caarda and samples, sound effects etc... at the touch of a button and to preview the sound is such a wonder!!! i would stick with both machines if you have them, but the mpc one etc are all monsters!!! ill never part with the xl cuz the older styles beats just sound way better on it for drum reverb and horns.... so stuck in an unrealistic situation where i had to only chose one, id take the x

thank you i really appreciate that, i dont use keys i just make sure the sample it pitched up or down by the same amount... the sample is naturally on the proper keys
sorry bad wording, i mean the keys that are recorded already on the track your sampling. i dont use any "keys" or "key matching" thats for bass and original compositions, when it comes to sampling i leave the sample as is when i sample it and just chop it up into small sound bites @@RMNim
