Received mine a couple of weeks ago. I have been on the look out to upgrade my Brother DS20 and initially fancied an 'Innovis55', but when C&C brought this Brother FS130 for less than £300, with all the added extra goodies, well , I mean, you can't turn away from offers like this. Plus the hard cover. It's been a dream. I've only played and tested stitches so far but it's quiet, smooth and extremely user friendly. I'm really pleased I took the plunge. Now that I've found you on youtube, I'll be keeping a watch on what you make and having a go myself. :) I'm never sure about the tension though, Can we have a very close up picture of top and bottom good straight stitch please. I think it looks good but I'm not all that sure of what the bottom should actually look like, l-i-i-i-i- I think you said you keep yours on around 5ish, for normal cottons, so I will have a go on that one I think and see how different it is :) Love watching you on C& C. You keep me smiling. now you just need to help me build my confidence. :)
Hi wonder if someone could answer a question for the brother fs130qc can you embroider with yhis machine if not can you buy any add ons so you can do embroidery on it thankyou for any help
one more thing i did not recieve any instruction book with it so how do i go about getting one as this thankswill help me to understand everything about the machine
could you please tell me how to turn a corner with the decorative holly stitch on the Brother FS130QC Sewing Machine without distorting the shape.(I don't mean by just stopping then pivoting the material round)
Do you have to use stabiliser when your using the character stitches please? My Brother FS130 arrived today, and although I have watched you on C&C making your "Stitch library" I've never seen you actually use the characters.
I tend to use 2 layers of fabric whenever I am doing anything decorative including the characters. This stops puckering. If you dont want to add thickness to your project you could always use a tearaway stabiliser that you remove once you have finished stitching.
Hi I have just bought this brother sewing machine and I have two questions please when I start sewing it’s very messy underneath the fabric what am I doing wrong, and when I am sewing my cotton breaks a lot again could you please tell me what I am doing wrong so I can fix it, I do appreciate your help thanks Mandy.

Can I suggest that you call the Brother support desk? they are very helpful and your machine is probably still under warranty. The tiny hook can get bent if the needle is in the wrong place, so you may need a replacement. x
It's ridiculous that they say you have got to return in it's original box! If I kept every box I would be living in garden while all my boxes have a nice warm cosy house to be stored in.

i have being thinking of buying this machine ,i have the brother BC2100 but this machine would be a upgrade as it does more than my old one
