      Hi, I have just bought the Brother FS130QC too, it arrived today and I've been doing a stitch library. However, when I tried to stitch the letters it made a horrible noise and the thread just knotted under the fabric. Are you supposed to use stabiliser under it?

      I use a iron on stabiliser if you don't it makes an awful mess. The needle speed is set by the machine no matter what it is set to it will use the machines option. I have tried to personalise on a sweatshirt and it is the only thing that I cannot do lettering on at the moment

      Hi If this helps…… I have just received my Brother FS130QC and have monogrammed lots of samples,
      (with no stabiliser fabric, although I’m sure it would help to strengthen the monogram placement), on thin double shirt cotton without a problem, except one time…… The problem…. After a couple of stitches the machine stopped sewing, with a noisy grumble, and the fault E6 started flashing in the display, E6 fault (p93) means that the thread is tangled on the wrong side of fabric, and suggested the cause was ‘incorrect upper threading’. What I’d done was to not 'raise the needle to the upper position' before doing the upper threading (p23)…. So the thread had not been guided correctly through the thread take-up lever (p25) ….. Therefore the machine displayed fault E6. I followed the Remedy suggested (p93) removing the tangled thread and stuck fabric then re-threaded the upper thread … this time correctly with needle raised.
      Sounds more complicated than it actually was…. and a reminder to me to always raise the needle by turning handwheel or better still to simply press the Needle Position Button to up position.

    the needle threader on my machine gets stuck. Fixed it try to use it I'm and still can get it to work. I've watched this video several times. When I used it I'm not sure I am getting the thread right on the right side.

    does this machine have an automatic thread cutter eg what is button above reverse option for?

    • @slowef
      @slowef 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      it is the needle up or down button

    • @fizzknit9446
      @fizzknit9446 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Santa Claus just delivered to me a lovely Brother FS130QC and to answer your question the button above the reverse/reinforcement stitch button is the 'Needle Position Button'.
      Quote from instruction booklet … “Press the needle position button to raise or lower the needle. Be sure to raise the needle before threading the needle. Use this button to change the sewing direction or for detailed sewing in small areas. Pressing the button twice sews one stich”. End quote. In effect pressing the needle position button twice, sews one stitch. This machine does not have an automatic thread cutter; the included thread cutter is located on the left rear of machine.
