Yeah its the same bug as the buff banner in dark souls 3. Sadly I think its because npcs in these games may be hard coded to understand who attacked them, even if the "attack" is a simple buff projectile. At least I don't think there's a way to distinguish harmless projectiles and harmful ones.

@@jordanbrown1595 Bloodborne did have a DLC, called The Old Hunters. For Sekiro it is hard to know, it sold well, but maybe Miyazaki was happy with the game as it was and Activision chose to not want to publish a DLC as well. It sold faster than any other game developed by From Soft ever, it completely crushed Bandai Namco's best expectations for all platforms. Considering this kind of success, Bandai will not only want, but DEMAND at least one dlc.
The deathbed dress thing has existed similarly in other DS games. Dmg buffs or some or Defense buffs (lothric banner/Oath of Sunlight DS3) trigger enemies if active while near them
The crystal dart golem trick is pretty neat! Little bits of information like this keep me going back to Elden Ring. Still not finished but almost there. Idk man, it's a long game lol.
Not really :D if you go straight for the main bosses, it's a relatively short game tbh. I'm 110 hours in the first playthrough and the first 40 hours i just wandered and trolled around xD the time i spend on bosses is way under 10 hours and i'm still not good at the game. In the other 60+ hours i mainly spend my time on trying things out, annoy the sh!t out of npcs and so on 😁
The Wing of Astel sound and effect modifications might have something to do with the 20% damage bonus against Gravity enemies, other weapons have this too. Fallenstar Beast Jaw, Meteoric Blade, Alabaster Lord Sword...
another thing about the red wolf. it actually has the same model and id as the wolf of farron in ds3. the wolf was originally a boss in ds3, taking the abyss watchers arena, with the weapon of choice being a curved sword. but that idea was scrapped, and it then became a covanent. so the recolored it, added animations, and some textures. and now we have that cut boss. really cool how miyazaki finishes some cut works
Its not sneaky cut content, its a copy and paste of Sif from DS1. A lot of enemies in Elden Ring have movesets that are straight up copy and paste from previous games
@@wildcardgambler Yup. I've definitely recognized some moves from the previous game(s) as well, and I'm someone that, while I enjoy these games, only plays them once. They could have named this game "Dark Souls 4" and nobody would have second-guessed it.

I was trying to get through the sewers of leyndell with a friend and went into my inventory to check the item of armor I'd picked up a few minutes before. My friend said he was disconnected, so I thought, bummer, let's try this armor while I wait for him to get back to our meeting place. It was the deathbed dress. I spun the camera around to see what my male avatar looked like in it, and saw i was being watched by an invader. He clapped, murdered me, then did the thinking emote you get from Sellen. 😂 I was in my inventory for a while, so I have no idea how long he was standing there.
This game still has some a lot of discoveries and secrets that players have done, and I love them for doing it. Elden Ring has the best open world map ever made.
in souls games, all physical rules of the game world apply both to the players and the enemies / npcs. the deathbed dress has a healing area which 'edits' the HP of nearby entities. editing the HP (adding or subtracting) triggers an event (usually by attacking), whichs leads enemies to become alerted. they forgot that adding to HP shouldn't trigger this event like subtracting does. btw. that's just my theory :D
My top tip, if you come across a player in pvp hiding behind the finger print shield. Use the cipher pata, it ignores shields and hits straight through them.
Number 8 made me feel kind of bad for someone. I did the FIA stuff really late... Like as late as possible. So my character was very powerful by that time... Sorry to whoever had to face my nearly level 200 faith/ strength.
Your character scales to the host of the game it’s in, so you were probably getting scaled down a considerable amount which means you were more underleveled against whoever fought your character.
ELden Ring game has actual important issues to fix, but most fans dont have the imagination to want it, or the intelligence to see that it is needed. If people demanded those fixes i am sure they would be implemented by the developers. Let's start with the major issue. 3 issues 1) *Hand of Malenia* weapon needs a rework, if we consider how hard it is to get compared to rivers of blood or any other Katana. Hand of Maleniasword is basically useless in the hand of the player. *FIRST* of all it has a B scaling with dexterity ( if i remember correctly ) . Thats absurd, it should have A or S scaling . *TWO;* Any boss or even a big enemy can simply hit you out of your attack animation. The damage is mediocre at best ( I don't consider silly videos with 10 buffs a good example ) the weapon has bad damage that's a fact. *THREE:* Its weapon skill is useless, it doesn't gap close like it does when the boss is using it and again you can be HIT OUT of the attack animation ( unlike the boss ) i was so excited when i got that weapon only to find out that *Rivers of blood* and *moonveil* katana are way better. Why make the bost badass wepon in the game with the most coolest attack skill so usless??? It needs to be ficed. If they don't want to fix the damage, then at least do something about the fact that an enemy can hit you and your weapon skill animation just stops. Make it so that you can NOT be hit out of the weapon skill animation once you have activated it. You can take damage but you keep attacking. And fix the gab closing. As it is now, you basically just dance on the same spot with some feet apart. It should travel a bigger distance if needed to get to the enemy that is focused or targeted. ________________________________________________ 2) *Melee combat over all needs more variety.* Katana weapons should have more hack and slash COMBO Ashes of Wars.... the big heavy swords should have impactful Ashes of Wars and also some unique SQUARE and TRIANGLE combos . _________________________________________________ 3) *Armor stats and LOOKs should matter more, especially heavy armor, if we consider the stamina investment you need to make to even wear it.* The protection armor gives to you should matter more. And ARMOR LOOKS ...sorry but the games best heavy armor doesn't look that cool. Same problem with the shield... the games best Shield is a STONE ...like wtf????? Who came up with this lame design and idea??? The games best shield should look BIG and EPIC... not lame and boring.

The forge thing is probably just bad collision stuff. The very first time I arrived there, I thought you have to go into the cauldron, only to stand there on my horsecam, in deathcam, on the side of the rim, before ultimately walking off and dying. Maybe they just didn't have the time or didn't think they'd need to polish that area, since you're really only there for maybe 30 seconds once in the entire playthrough.
I recently found the hidden path at the Giants Forge, did some digging and it's apparently used for speed runners to do a glitch to return to the Merica(?) Boss fight, quicker. Bad with names and not there yet
I speculate the dress issue is the same as to why in DS3 bosses go for dodges/fast attacks if you have used the Lothric War Banner, and that it triggers illusory walls; It's basically a continuous AOE. Bosses take no damage-But projectiles like dung pies also don't do damage but mobs try to dodge them.
I have almost 700 hours in elden ring, and i just found an area ive never discovered before... The illusionary wall down in the shunning grounds where you get the frenzy flame. Ive mostly played offline, but recently started a new game in preparation for the DLC, and i just noticed that secret path that circles back around into the deeproot depths. Crazy, i still love this game.
There's another hint about the darts in the Consecrated Snowfield area, where a statue of two imps fighting outside Albunaric's Rise pushes the player to find a way to turn them against each other and break the seal.
For those with over 200 hours like me, how do you keep from getting burn out? I can't even turn this game on without being tired of seeing it at this point lol. Not saying I dislike it, obviously, I just.... am overloaded.
You should take a break because if you keep playing while burnt out because eventually you'll stop playing and come back to the game and wonder how anyone could get burnt out playing hopefully.
I had the exact same feeling like you described after I reached the foggy snowfields. At that point, I was beginning to think maybe this game is overstaying it's welcome. I like this game a lot, don't get me wrong but I generally find myself playing more PvP these days and have put the story on hold after 170+ hours. Those catacombs and caves surely feel like meaningless filler content now. I'm definitely feeling the burn out.
Multiple builds, challenge runs, and PvP. Got the game Day 1 and decided to make an Arcane build right out of the gate, not realizing that bleed would be OP. Had fun, but it definitely made certain things easier than they needed to be. Ran through it again as an Int/Str build trying to avoid anything I know is OP. Now I'm doing a Robin Hood build just using bows (mainly), rapiers, and consumables/throwable items. The first time I ran through the game I tried to be as thorough as possible and stopped levelling at 125, so when I want to take a break from PvE I load that back up, respec to something interesting, and do PvP duals outside Raya Lucaria.
I take breaks (aka play a different game) to not get burned out. I also make new characters to try new things from the ground up. Also you can make your own rules up, set challenges for yourself. Makes things interesting.
Something that occurs to me... I'm not sure if they're using the data this way, but they definitely SHOULD be: All that data they collect, Fia's Companions, Jar Warriors, all of that could be saved to a simple call list (I'm sure it already is for it to function like it does), and then you could easily run statistics on that data. Could honestly be some of the most useful user data ever collected. A HUGE sample size of the most avid players, you could get an EXTREMELY accurate read of things like most commonly equipped items, average values for ability scores, how many players are leaving equipment slots empty. Incredibly valuable data both for balancing this game, and for filling out their following games with items that people find interesting, and encouraging more unique build types. There's a lot that you can do with simple information like that.

That weapon on number five that makes different sounds the reason for that might be… if you look at the environments in the different clips you would see that the first clip the character is swinging the sword outdoors. In the second clip the character is swinging the sword in a hallway therefore the programmers might have added a compensation for the reflection of sound inside hallways! I play Elden Ring and I discovered that you can alternate between Heineken and Old Smoky as long as you chug 16 oz of water every two drinks. You'll still get a hangover vut you can totally do it.
In case people aren't aware, the clips of the Wing of Astel use two different attacks, hence the different amount/speeds of the outgoing projectiles. In the initial clip, the player is showing the uncharged heavy attack combo, which consists of two moves: an initial heavy attack, and a followup heavy attack. When uncharged, this move only fires one projectile per attack. However, in the following clip, the player is showing a fully-charged heavy attack combo. When fully-charged, the heavy attacks in the combo will fire off two projectiles per attack, which can be seen in the clip. Although the sound does indeed appear to be different, the choice to only use fully-charged heavy attacks when talking about a "change" in attack speed, is really just a cheeky way of getting upvotes.

That could even be used to your advantage in PVP
The Wing of Astel sound and effect modifications might have something to do with the 20% damage bonus against Gravity enemies, other weapons have this too. Fallenstar Beast Jaw, Meteoric Blade, Alabaster Lord Sword...
Melina has the death animation because you can summon her in during the Morgott fight and when she dies shes at the base of the erd tree
another thing about the red wolf. it actually has the same model and id as the wolf of farron in ds3. the wolf was originally a boss in ds3, taking the abyss watchers arena, with the weapon of choice being a curved sword. but that idea was scrapped, and it then became a covanent. so the recolored it, added animations, and some textures. and now we have that cut boss. really cool how miyazaki finishes some cut works

One small thing I have recently discovered is if you hold the up or down on the D-Pad it'll start you back at your first Incantation/Spell or Useable item. Pretty handy when you have more than 5 to scroll through.
I had someone tell me that. Instead of scrolling to get to my health potion
That trick works throughout the Souls games, too. So always keep your healing flask in the first slot.

Yeah that Caelid Golem sucks ass, but the rest are relatively weaker.
I was in my inventory for a while, so I have no idea how long he was standing there.
What if he was so flabbergasted that someone would just afk, and suddenly appear in a dress lmao 😂
Except your weapons will hit walls and enemies weapons will clip right through them.
Does the dress inflicts damage on living dead enemies?
Still finding things even after multiple games is great game design.
Nope very poor actually

ELden Ring game has actual important issues to fix, but most fans dont have the imagination to want it, or the intelligence to see that it is needed.
If people demanded those fixes i am sure they would be implemented by the developers.
Let's start with the major issue.
3 issues
1) *Hand of Malenia* weapon needs a rework, if we consider how hard it is to get compared to rivers of blood or any other Katana.
*THREE:* Its weapon skill is useless, it doesn't gap close like it does when the boss is using it and again you can be HIT OUT of the attack animation ( unlike the boss )
i was so excited when i got that weapon only to find out that *Rivers of blood* and *moonveil* katana are way better.
________________________________________________
2) *Melee combat over all needs more variety.*
Katana weapons should have more hack and slash COMBO Ashes of Wars....
the big heavy swords should have impactful Ashes of Wars and also some unique SQUARE and TRIANGLE combos .
_________________________________________________
3) *Armor stats and LOOKs should matter more, especially heavy armor, if we consider the stamina investment you need to make to even wear it.* The protection armor gives to you should matter more.

The crystal dart trick has to be super useful at the tower in the consecrated snowfield. On my last playthrough i had to go find a bewitching branch
The Imp summon works as well, if I remember correctly. Pretty sure that's how I did it.
There is a merchant who sell the "crystal dart info" on a note. There is also a note who gives the tip to use gravity magic on flying enemies.
I recently found the hidden path at the Giants Forge, did some digging and it's apparently used for speed runners to do a glitch to return to the Merica(?) Boss fight, quicker. Bad with names and not there yet
Marika?
I speculate the dress issue is the same as to why in DS3 bosses go for dodges/fast attacks if you have used the Lothric War Banner, and that it triggers illusory walls; It's basically a continuous AOE. Bosses take no damage-But projectiles like dung pies also don't do damage but mobs try to dodge them.
I didn't know those crystal darts worked and imps and golems. Trying to get past those on that bridge when your lower level is a pain in the buttocks.
One of my favorite enemy cheese I guess I would call it, is using AOE heals to usually unsta-stun the Revanants and take chucks out of their health.
This video should just be titled “Things We Found On Reddit”

Ive mostly played offline, but recently started a new game in preparation for the DLC, and i just noticed that secret path that circles back around into the deeproot depths.
Crazy, i still love this game.
There's another hint about the darts in the Consecrated Snowfield area, where a statue of two imps fighting outside Albunaric's Rise pushes the player to find a way to turn them against each other and break the seal.
You can use the imp summon to complete that.
I used the bewitching branch and was super proud of myself haha
The red wolf of Radagon is so beautiful. I love the color scheme of his fur and his graceful magic attacks
For those with over 200 hours like me, how do you keep from getting burn out? I can't even turn this game on without being tired of seeing it at this point lol. Not saying I dislike it, obviously, I just.... am overloaded.
😅
I'm not sure if they're using the data this way, but they definitely SHOULD be:
All that data they collect, Fia's Companions, Jar Warriors, all of that could be saved to a simple call list (I'm sure it already is for it to function like it does), and then you could easily run statistics on that data.
I’m so glad this video exists and that there are new things being discovered in this wonderful game. But I’m also glad that I have restraint and will not be watching this glorious video in order to preserve these discoveries for myself. Thank you, Gameranx!
The game has been out for months, get to it!
11:09 is such a weird perspective when you see him charge toward you and throw rocks towards the other golem.
I have noticed a lot of games on Xbox series s/x and PS5 that does this

The real question is how many runes does killing Melina get me lol
The dubbed pronunciations of "melina" and "radagon" are hilarious
