I’ve lived in several Detroit suburbs for 70 years but somehow have never been to Grosse Pointe. Live in Birmimgham now and love it here. Great downtown and I can walk to everything.
I think the city pool is the best but the farms pool is also great and nice too see you in my neighborhood and I even saw my house in one of the shots and I used to go to Richard elementary and I like how you show people the great neighborhood of Grosse point
I love how it looks but as a black man, I still get evil looks when I'm in this city and I'm not loud, no loud music, none of that, I'm a law abiding citizen and I respect any area I'm in but I noticed when I'm in Birmingham (home), I don't experience those looks. I feel this is something that needs to be addressed in that city because I see it all the time and it's unfortunate.
Trust me, if you're talking about the more exclusive neighborhoods they give everyone those looks. Some of the older folks are really protective and nosy, think of your typical 80 year-old HOA neighborhood watch types. There's plenty of black Grosse Pointers, way more than when I grew up here in the 80s, and for the ones who join the high society circles they will find that the old white folk will fall over themselves ingratiating themselves to you, lol. Keep in mind this is MSNBC Woke Wine Mom country, Biden won all but a few districts last election. On the other end of the spectrum, if you're blue-collar and live in the Woods or something then you'll be treated the same as anyplace else, no one cares what color you are.
Which Grosse Pointe would you live in? 🤔
Park

Good idea. You'd have to drive through some unsafe areas to get there. Stay in Birmingham where it is safe.
Informational, thank you!!!

Been in the Park 25 years; love it.
Great video, great place to live.
Thank you Tom! Agreed
Why isn't safety well rated for the area? I think I'd like to live somewhere safe.
Ford was against booze or anything else and he ran alot of the area until building his home Failane but Edsel kept a house there.

I’m a white man and I get the “look”. It doesn’t bother me. However I don’t get the “look” if I’m with my wife or pushing my baby in the stroller.
Do you know which neighborhood Ralph Wilson lived in? Former owner of the Buffalo Bills.
Grosse Pointe Shores
Andrew, you look better in a shirt with more colour 😅 just saying 😂
Show more photos of the city and less of you please. I didn’t see near enough
Why are you on TH-cam to see your neighborhood go outside or search on google
Very confusing presentation.
