- Piers Morgan Uncensored is joined by former cricketer Geoffrey Boycott, Just Stop Oil protester Chloe Naldrett and environmental campaigner Donnachadh McCarthy to discuss the latest Just Stop Oil protest which took place today at Lords cricket ground in the Ashes match between England and Australia and whether these eco-protests are effective in getting their message across to the public.
Piers starts by hailing Jonny Bairstow a hero for carrying one of the protesters off the pitch and slams the protests as just 'Wrecking everyone's fun' and no longer being effective in their message. Chloe explains that without these protests, people like herself and other eco-criticisers are nto invited onto shows to spread their message. Piers shuts down this claim however suggesting that civilised discussions and debates happen on this show daily and that these stunts are simply turning the public away from them.

I met one of these people last Christmas in the mall by my home. They were picketing a store that they deemed "dangerous" to society. That meeting ended with the protestor being dragged out of the mall. Losers everyone of them.

Not like they can justify ignoring bigger polluters like China. Protesting in China makes much more sense, since shutting down oil in UK won't make much difference on the international scale of oil usage anyway. If they insist on UK only, they need to present data proving that UK dying will prevent climate change disasters on a significant level, assuming that China keeps poisoning the planet on the same usual grand scale they do.

For generations, cricket has been cherished by Sri Lankans, and is like a religion for us. Deliberately trying to destroy a game like cricket, which brings joy to many people, is an unintelligent approach to conveying a message. Such actions only become a menace. If someone were to engage in such behavior during a match in our home grounds, it is highly likely that they would face even more severe consequences from the crowd.

I do not agree with any of the things they are doing block traffic or ruining matches is not a very good way of getting you point across and it will lead to the opposite in some cases with people buying more oil.

A pretty good read on how it is far safer now than ever before, it is undeniable and clear where the trend has pointed. In the bigger picture, I believe in my statement. Sure, there have been some bad things, some very uncivilized behavior in recent years, and there are still issues, there always will be. One of the big problems these days is that we see it all and it is so in our face that many get the misconception that there is so much more of the bad stuff than there actually is. There are so many of us, and almost everyone has a phone with a camera on them. I live in the small country of Finland, and even here we have over 5 million folks. But now, especially after all the COVID stuff, I think a lot of people just want to return to some sense of normalcy and peaceful life.

Where I live our summers are dry and hot . For three months it goes from 94-98 . About 4 times we go over 100 . People have been yelling global change and that we are getting hotter . The truth of it is , I am 64 and the weather is the exact same as when I was a child . And these protesters , they irritate me and I just shut them off . But when they destroy others property , they need to pay the consequences .
Lock em up for 2 years see how they like that with a criminal record to boot.
