- In one of our most HEATED debates to date, Piers Morgan Uncensored is joined by President of the National Union of Students Larissa Kennedy to discuss the 'snowflake-y' behaviour of university students who want trigger warnings for certain topics within their syllabuses. Piers challenges this by asking what could be so offensive to make students need a warning. Larissa answers by saying it is normal for students to want to know what is included in their upcoming term's syllabus. The debate continues to get more and more fiery until eventually Larissa asks how long it's been since Piers was a university University student. When he responds she says it "was a long time ago" which leads to Piers asking her if she is being ageist... trigger warning alert! The fact she couldn't condemn what happened to that young woman in USA having a mob chasing after her yelling 'we're gonna get you' sounds like someone not believing in many truths but instead avoiding a truth.
The videos showed nothing of the kind. They showed people chanting, but didn't show the woman in question, didn't show any context. Why is it these conservatives hate snowflakes, but the minute they step on a college campus, they become snowflakes? Get a life, stop trying to do "undercover journalism" on protesters. Try to understand where the protesters, or activists, are coming from.

I'm 33 and I ONLY see this completely disconnected view from graduate students ( MD, phD, etc. ) Those who completed this education at an earlier time ( 20s ) , are somehow the same age and share none of these characteristics. The Cathy Newman/Jordan Peterson interview was a polar opposite: if his questions or angle were skewed, she really didn't but home anything nonetheless except circle back to pre-ordered thought patterns. There was no insight, no open conversation, no new inclination made and that's fed into what Piers was all about from the off.

Other esteem has replaced self esteem. I'm 65 and it it shows I'm sure but I grew up in an era where we had an internal compass that was quite reliable and we could tell by how it felt when we spoke whether we were telling the truth, whether we were responding properly to someone else's point, whether we were using appropriate words to get our point across in a way that was not demeaning or condescending to the other person.
Where I see this more than anywhere else is on social media is where any woman (who would objectively probably be a four or a five) shows off some new outfit which is probably perfectly nice and looks fine... then gets 100 men and women telling her that she's a 10 and that she is a goddess incarnate and people do this hundreds of times and it lends itself to complete delusion about how attractive they are and in kind of a sick twist leads to them totally reject normal men... after all, who among men is fit to walk beside a goddess who is a 9.5 on a scale of 1 to 10.
On the one hand, I'm angry because deluding women in the way that social media currently does does them a huge disservice but also I'm sad for modern young men, 80% of whom young women rate as below average statistically. Ugh.

Universities SHOULD be the place to discuss ISSUES of the world! Therefore it NEEDS to be a place where TRUTH of all forms can be viewed & solved. Having students who are triggered & offended by every issue goes against the idea & very fact of solving & EVOLVING.
One of big reasons why I personally have been put off going to University is because it's absolutely infested with people like this 🙄

As a young guy who went to uni in London, it’s almost fascism.
