"He's worse at the video game than his own mom" Funny you say that, because it's canon that she's just straight up better at video games than he is. In one intro, she tells him to finish his homework as any parent would do- but when he gets his system back, he finds out that she completely DEMOLISHED his high score.
I initially felt like Penny's rankings were weird considering that in my experience she could clear almost every game with ease, then I remembered that that was through me learning how to limit her shots through flicking the stick, and for the fish game finding the right placement to get the precise number you need. So she's got potential to make the ENTIRE game look easy, but you have to REALLY get good with her.
8:31 Lulu should also receive a 5 for the microgame where you’re trapped inside the glass bottle with the cork. All you have to do is hold A, nothing else. Not even move.
The best part of Pyoro design-wise is that he's an S-Tier of controlling how you expect them to play, since this is how you control him in Birds and Beans! Most of the other characters gameplay-wise are based on a certain mode theyre in (Cricket's and Master Mantis' gamemode in Game and Wario), or made up (Penny and Red's come to mind) Also, this is a pretty good video! Quite superb and entertaining! Also also, 12:32 Its pronouned P-or-oh by the way
The Wario Cup difficulty ratings are not the same for every challenge, they depend on how well-suited the character is for that challenge's subset of microgames. Also, despite Orbulon being broken, my winrate with him is actually on the lower end as you occasionally have to find a creative solution when the succ doesn't work.
Shooting in a specific direction is the reason I personally consider Dribble to be better than Ashley. She always seemed a little slippery where Dribble was stable. -I also like Dribble more as a character-
Also, 9-Volt has *four* total microgames where he’s a perfect fit. The one you missed is Destiny Game. He’s one of the best fits for that microgame along with Pyoro because he doesn’t steer away from the dial and can hit it at any time
34:20 it's just funny how 9Volt just stands there for the entirety of ranking, moving just once for when the crew size increases, and only at the final category he gets to be not the worst
I think this was a great video that went pretty in-depth. Although, there were some things you missed: 9-Volt also scores a 5 for Destiny Game (He also has 4 in total, not 2) 18-Volt also scores a 1 for Super Mario Land and Pop goes the Party. Wario scores a 1 for Piggy Pluck (The only microgame in which he scores a 1)
Hey, Thank you for pointing that stuff out! Can’t believe I missed the destiny game one! I actually did have all of those written correctly in the spreadsheet I made though, so luckily I didn’t write any of those scores wrong
Personally I think this is a great tier list! I’m personally a fan of how some of these characters control, the only one I have difficulty with is 9-volt personally, but still as long as you use them in the right scenario, you’ll be good.
Fun Fact: Wario and Dr.Crygor are the only characters with levels to not be a best fit for any of their microgames, if Boss Microgames aren't counted, then dribble & spitz and Ashley also go under this
I think how I would rank them would be *counting how much smiles and frowns each character has for each microgame, and then “round” every singular in-game rating.*
Wario is amazing for Poseidon since he can get the key to the lock the second the key appears and can charge left to save the fairies within seconds so he should be 5 or 4 stars for Poseidon
So, then. Ashely is good in the traditional sense. She's good at moving and attacking, which are things you have to do often, so she's "following the rules". Orbulon is good in an underhanded sense. Picking things up and holding them, if not outright destroying them circumvents a lot of the microgames. In other words, Ashely would be "The best way through a door is to open it" and Orbulon would be "The best way through a door is break it." How well each of their strategies works is gonna depend on what kinda door they're looking at.
I honestly feel like Crygor and Jimmy could be swapped, as with practice Jimmy has a similar hit box to Crygor but moves a hell of a lot faster and when he’s not dashing, he’s still controllable as he falls. It’s kinda like a similar situation with Penny in that while at first they’re pretty bad compared to other characters, but with practice tend to be better than other characters.
I agree. Not to mention, Crygor also bounces off of walls, Jimmy T does too but not as severe as Crygor, this could be a bit disruptive for microgames like missing remote, because crygor could bounce off a wall into an obstacle
The only four Nintendo microgames where 9-Volt is neither a mildly bad fit nor an outright BAD fit are Devil World and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild (where he’s a neutral fit in both games), Nintendo Badge Arcade (where he’s an above average fit), and Destiny Game (where he’s a perfect fit)
I agree that, even though Kat is *technically* better than 9-Volt, she's way more frustrating to control. Even on the games she's allegedly good at. Honestly, the only time I don't *hate* using her is Friendless Battle, where she's actually kinda broken because the same things that bring her down everywhere else (constant movement, auto-activating hitbox) are beneficial there.
A few of these aren't quite right. I made my own spreadsheet of this and some of my scores are slightly different. I very carefully checked each microgame one by one multiple times, and each time I got *738* for Crygor, *810* for Mike, and *676* for Pyoro. Unfortunately I can't include the link in this comment, because it will get auto-deleted.
9-Volt isn’t completely awful, I mean, he is on paper, but on practice he can do atleast SOMETHING yknow whats a completely bad character that can’t find a niche whatsoever? Pyoro. “You can atleast move Pyoro with control!1!1” Ever tried Daily Grind with him? It’s fucking hell and he doesn’t do well much in the main modes neither… I still don’t understand how Cricket and Jimmy T score lower than him
True When Jimmy T came up I was joking about pyoro being the best on the list because I didn't expect him to be so high And Jimmy t scored lower than I expected
@@nicofire31 The reason why Jimmy is so low is because a lot of Microgames require precise movement and aiming. Jimmy T, Kind of like 9-volt and Penny, doesn't really excel at aiming because you could potentially do stupid stuff (such as destroying too many bubbles in bubble count, or choosing the wrong options in big brain academy which makes the microgame unbeatable. I do think Jimmy should've been placed way closer to Dr. Crygor and that the devs might've overexaggerated with his ratings. Why is he an average fit for Gondola Lift when he could potentially complete level 1 of the microgame with only 1 attack?
