I was just thinking of making a mini dinosaur keychain but was worried about the eyes being wonky since there is no safety eyes that are that small and french knots are fiddly. This video came in as a blessing😊 Thank you so much, you're amazing❤

Thank you for this tutorial! I struggled with the french knot and couldnt get a round nice shape for the eyes. This method has really so much more control for the eyes. ❤
Ty for this Technique….. need to make Larger ones for the Bear that I’m working on right now…..I just ordered Safety Eyes but for my one year old great granddaughters I don’t really want to use Safety Eyes…..I found a video for the triangular nose that you sew on, but I am terrible with the eyes…..any help would be greatly appreciated…..haven’t heard from you in a long time…….. 🥰👵🏻
I took last year as a sabbatical to write my new book, The Essential Guide to Amigurumi www.planetjune.com/amibook ) but now I'm back in action! This technique is specifically for tiny eyes - as this makes a ball, I don't recommend using thicker yarn to make larger eyes, as they stick out too much. For larger eyes, I crochet a circle with a finer yarn (see my Gingerbread Man for an example: www.planetjune.com/gingerbread ), and use the same glint technique I described in this video 😊
