      The big gotcha with touch screens and Marlin is that too many functions are currently only available with the LCD displays.

    Hi, After watching your video I went straight ahead to order one from Ali for my Tevo Tarantula since I have a dual Z axis and need driver for a second extruder for bi color printing. I believe the special connector on this board is a MOLEX 50-57-9404 ...Thanks for your video!

    Well, a ready to run drop-in replacement board with touchscreen and full sized card reader for most China printers for $50 seems like quite the deal!
    I mean, Creality wants a similar price for their simple inflexible controller boards alone!
    I'd sure buy one if my Ender 3 board would fail!
    That said, think you could make a vid stuffing that thing in a Ender or CR10 series printer, see how much effort that is to get it running properly and show what features it adds?

    I'm looking forward to the installation video.
    I've noticed that the board has 3 PWM outputs for fans ( 0,1 &2),
    I've only been able to use 2 of the fans (0,1) in the past.
    Is Marlin capable of using the 3rd fan?
    In your next video please include any firmware setup steps that may be necessary.
    thank you

    Do you know if its possible to connect only a TFT 32 LCD to control this board with all the fancy extra features that a printer nowdays can handle like power loss recovery, filament detection, and other safety addons. The TFT 32 LCD enable a lot of these features and I'm not sure that's the case with this FYSETC F6 standalone...

  • @techsavvyhero
    @techsavvyhero 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Looks like they loaded up the board with extra features to keep it from getting obsolete anytime soon

    • @bliksemdonder5624
      @bliksemdonder5624 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Without going to a 32-bit platform it is close to being obsolete but with Mendel-style kinematics this board is still a good fit. The current price-point is not really competitive with other boards but the added features for the step sticks are nice.

    What type are these connectors on the board, what is the name of them (you have created adapters for these)? I want to search for ready made adapters or in worst case buy the needed connectors and create them by myself (not the preferred solution, but anyway :-)).

      This TFT screen is serial with FPC connector. The MKS Gen L does not have that connector. You can eventually make a cable and connect it using the serial pins of the MKS Gen L but there are other TFT displays that are plug and play.
