You forgot a big one. Seethe gives you something like a flat 100% boost in scouting power. My strategy is: kaping>attack x3> next turn>kaping>Seethe x3>next turn> scout I do not "ask" monsters to join with scouting. They never have a choice.
Definitely buy better beasty bites in the online shop. Meat is a good backup scout method incase you anger a monster. Using that meat ive seen a massive increase in the join rate after defeating a monster. Easily helped me get 3-4 copies of every S and X rank monster.
can't you cast kaping twice for the full effect. i remember most multi target spells, needing to be cast twice for the full stat boost of the singular spell versions. (EX: oomph, buff, ping,)
Starting this game in a week,I just want to know, is there is a move like false swipe from pokemon that can damage but not kill? if so I will try to get that.
4 Gem Slimes is best. Have Smarty-Pants on two of them for kaping. Dark Artist on one for the skill that reduces defense. Then fill the remaing slots with wisdom booster IV, III, and II. One slime attacks, one reduces defense, and the last two use kaping. That way everyone contributes to increasing the scouting odds and no one has to defend. Due to the high wisdom stat the skill that reduces defense will almost always work even on S/X rank.
There is a serious problem with this game that no one seems to talk about, and I am here to mention it. DQM3 Suffers exclusively from mass pvp abuse. As long as someone closes their game it crashes the pvp match, forcing BOTH players to ALWAYS de-rank. This exclusively makes it IMPOSSIBLE to rank, and is unacceptable that it exists at all. IT IS BEING USED AS A FEATURE IN PVP. Causes crashes, always derank, and more.
Good video man, keep up the good information coming! Question, how did you get your Gem Slimes Wisdom up so high(aside from Wisdom IV & III)... Did you seed them or is there a superior way to increase growth and base stats through synthing? I am taking my time in Upper Echelon right now, but my Gem Slime is lvl100 and is NOWHERE near 1700 wisdom
@@purplatypus7405 Hmm, I will have to look into it then... I made my Gem Slime really early, at the start of Middle Echelon, and took the natural way to synth him up, he is level 100 now, and his stats are nowhere near the "max stats", think my wisdom on him is like 1000 or so(with Wisdom Booster IV)... So if no seeding was done, I guess I need to research the criteria for increasing base stats & growth rate, has to be some sort of process to increase the stats by 700+ overall...
@roadblock99 I will break it down in more detail in tommows video but in short growth rates don't change but the base stats of the children will be much higher if the parents had high stats. So synth your gem slime with a level 100 into a new gem slime and level him up to 100 again and you will have more stats
I’ve been really screwing myself over just throwing the wisdom and attack boosting traits away in favor of spells so I have a bit of grinding to do lol This game deserves a lot more attention.
@@purplatypus7405Entirely because of gem slime, it should be said. Most monsters attack and wisdom is normalized, capping around 750 on the absolute highest base cap. Then Gem Slime has over 1000 base cap wisdom for no reason.
Thanks for this video. It answered multiple questions I had as a new player. I had no idea how to catch those large mini boss monsters. Like Cyclops was giving me 0% on scout. So I was wondering did it need to be killed to join and so on. Couldn't find any videos addressing them.
I don't know the formula but it does seem your chance accelerates by a faster and faster amount after you pass a certain str or wis number vs a specific monsters defence. So 200 might give you 0% while 400 could give you 50% just as a hypothetical example
@@purplatypus7405Scouting does a basic attack that scales off your attack or wisdom vs the enemy's defense and hp. If you can't break through their defense, you get 0%. If you can, then it's based on how much damage the attack does. So, assuming very simplified math, an enemy with 200 defense against 200 wisdom will get you nothing, while 400 wisdom is dealing 200 damage to scout hp. If the enemy only has 400 scout hp, then you get 50%
@@purplatypus7405 stats are all over the place. lower ranks can have better stat caps but not the growth to reach it, higher ranks have the growth but worse stat caps but better traits. every race has their stat curves and your synthesis down to grandparents will let you exceed those limits. i wouldn't be surprise if their is a 16+synthesis chain to min max a creatures growth.

I basically did not seed them just lots of levels and synthed. Tomorrow's video will be more detail

What area is this?
The money zone
Bruh, I thought 6 or 7 hundred wisdom was good holly fuck was I wrong
I have beat the main story, I beat the "secret" boss, and I beat the S rank of both arenas. Is there anything else left to do in the game?
Pvp and the pokedex and the paid dlc for extra dungeons but not really
good stuff ty brother, happy holidays!
So high wisdom is what you need for increasing scouting success? Interesting…
Wisdom and attack work but wisdom numbers get much higher than attack

Once you start getting higher ranked monsters it does make synth recipes easier overall. I noticed the first couple A rank monsters sucked tho
Scouting in this game is complete trash
I gotta get me a Gem Slime! 🎉
They have defensive spells and the cap defense is the same as metal king but agility is slower by a few hundred
Do you have to beat the game to scout the boss mons cause every time I try it says not interested
You can't scout every monster but the big bads of each area you can from the stsrt unless there was a mechanic I didn't notice
Do you have a video or guide for how you created the gem slimes with all the stats + wisdom?
Thats a good follow up video idea. Short answer is they are not easy to make and without the DLC getting multiple is a big pain
Hey just got into thise game. How do u min max stats? I noticed not all monsters have the same stat at max lvl
I'm still leaning but it's mostly based on the parents level and the family types of the grandparents
