I'd like to post the transcript to my videos for SEO but keep the post tidy so would prefer the transcript to be hidden by default and click to reveal by those who want to read it. Thanks.
Glad that my video helped! There are a few ways to add a transcript. 1. Once you've pasted the transcript on your blog, you can add a "read more" tag, so when people visits your blog, if they are interested to read your transcript, they can click on "read more" 2. Use "Accordion". That way people will have to expand that Accordion in order to read your transcript. For me, I prefer to use accordion.

Ive moved many of my websites from Divi to Gutenberg (Kadence pro) I do have a divi website with around 100 posts, each with Galleries and (Ultimate Video) Video Players. Am I asking for trouble toying with the idea of converting it from Divi to Kadence ?
Can you comment on the speed impacts of using two block plugins simultaneously? I’ve been hesitant to use two block libraries simultaneously because of two concerns: speed and any possible plugin conflicts. If you can share on those topics, that’d be awesome!🤓
That's something I am going to explore soon. Hopefully the answer will be out this week or the next. I don't think there will be any issues with multiple plugins, but I think the impact will be more on the individual blocks that you use.
hello I'm using the Newspaper theme. Please recommend a Gutenberg block suitable for blog posting. Blocks that are more suitable for page builders seem to cause a lot of conflicts.

I'm looking for a Gallery block for my photo gallery. I use a custom Genesis theme I created. What block builder has the best Gallery? I currently use Qubely pro, but it is too heavy for my needs.
2nd video I've seen now saying the same. It's a concern as a lot of our sites are Elementor. I've started a new site now on Gutenberg to check this out fully.
Hi Jack, like your video. Just wondering if there's any tool pairs well with thee Gutenberg block plugin for things like text desgin? I mean these block plugins look like more focus on layout but I can not edit the text
Excellent video. Have been creating websites for a long time. The block editors are the perfect combination of speed and ease. And to think I nearly switched to page builders 😱 Question: do any of these have built in pop-up forms/special offers?
Currently there is no Gutenberg Block Plugins that does the "Exit Popup", but there are plugins that provide "Notifications (a top highlighted bar)". There is also a popup on click option and it is called "Modal" in Gutenberg Blocks. Anyway, with the upcoming Google updates, they said they are trying to eliminate the "popups" because Google thinks it is not helping the user.
@@JackCao Thanks! Those pop ups always annoyed me, but everyone uses them, so thought I should explore. Interesting that Google doesn’t think they’re helpful to the user. Seems that being reluctant to adopt everything new and shiny is paying off again! :)
Could you please advise what is the best Gutenberg block plugin for post grid? Best can show posts based not only catagory but also tag, etc. Thanks in advance.
Hello, I really like this video, please when you recommend your favorite combination, you said Kadence Blocks and ( get rid blocks) what does that mean? I don`t understand the last one. I`m new in this topic. thank you
Kadence blocks and Ultimate Addons for Gutenberg is what I use the most. I especially like the ability to customize the columns with Ultimate Addons. I don't find that with Getwid. Sure Getwid has a ton of blocks. But most of it is redundant with what Kadence offers and layout is where I find the columns customizer in UAG shine the most - being almost able to replace Elementor.
I created a website a month ago, mostly with Elementor, and I am really regretting since no matter what I do it still scores low on Pagespeed test. Hows the page speed of ur site? Do you still need plugins to speed them up?
I have the Otter blocks installed for an year, many post have been built on it so i cannot uninstall it. Now which out of two: 1) Kandence and 2) Getwid should i choose?
I would choose Kadence Blocks because, from my knowledge and other people's experiences, Getwid loads a lot of backend codes which causes the site to slow down. Kadence is lightweight.
@@JackCao Thank you show much Jack. That was indeed helpful info. Further, I tried finding the plugin sizes in my C-panel, but didn't got something concludable. In my C-panel, under the plugin folder all plugins were showing as 4 kb upon hovering. Inside each plugin folders there more items (sub folders) of varying sizes exceeding extensively what I saw on its main folder. Can you guide me how to get these exact size of a plugin? It will be very helpful. Thanks.
Hey jack Cao, great video the best-dedicated video on Gutenberg I have ever come across. I have a question for you "How to set our own designed single post page using Gutenberg" As I am currently using the ocean wp free theme and even if I am designing the single post page I am still seeing the customiser post page and I am unable to see the one I designed. It would be great if you share your advice or create a video on setting up a custom design blog page & single post page. Looking forward for your response. Thanks!
Man, you are amazing! Can I just ask which combination you would use in terms of premium block plugins to maximize the range of possibilities to create for new web freelancing? E.g Kadence pro & Getwid or something else? Kadence is having a sale until the end of the month. I also didn't easily find any block plugin that would include dot navigation on the side for quick access to different sections. Grateful for the effort you put out, looking forward to more and if you make one day a full Gutenberg course I'd love to enroll!
Sorry for the late reply. I was too caught up with the latest videos. I think Stackable is a very good option for freelancers as they have a big arsenal of templates. You need to refer to the bottom left of the WordPress editor. Whenever you click on any elements of the page. They will show the nested layers of the elements, and you can basically select the right layer to edit. I do not have the intention to create and sell a course on Gutenberg, but I have a playlist of tutorials for you which I will continually add to the list as my channel progresses. I hope this helps: th-cam.com/play/PLaWK8UfrNqw3605EvDefj4b697LbP_UiG.html
@@JackCao Hi Jack, No worries! If you had not replied I totally understand since you're busy creating awesome content for us. Thanks for the tips, I'll definitely take a second look to Stackable (bought Kadence membership as well). Most of all thanks for the effort you put into this, you made me to change from Elementor to Gutenberg and could not be happier with the choice! All the best.
Thank you for making such a great video. I'm a newbie and I have started using Hueman Page Builder Pro plugin. Can I combine it with a Gutenberg Block plugin? If so, which one would you suggest?
I agree with the comment of Daniel Cavalcante, Elementor primarily building a hard core dependency with pages build with that. At first, I bought the page builder and designed my website and after my licence expires, the page builder is no more working and my all elementor pages DOESN'T LOAD AT ALL. I can edit my existing pages, this irritates me a lot. Now thinking to switch to some other "free" and robust page builder
Ok, so I learned WP with Elementor so I risk sounding daft: where do you begin with building a site with Gutenberg blocks? Besides these plug ins you mentioned, what else is needed? Great vid, btw. Subscribing! 😁
No question is silly, they are all valid 😊 All Gutenberg Blocks are embedded into the WordPress editor. So, if you just add a new page or post, and hover to the content area, you will see a "plus" where you can add block. Click on that, and select "see all", and a left panel will appear with all the Gutenberg Blocks, including those that you have installed.
Hi, Jack! Thanks for all the great video. I’ve got one question. If I were to combine both Kadence and Getwid blocks, do I still need to buy Kadence Block Pro or their Full Bundle?
It depends, I heard a lot of people saying GetWid is rather bloated, and I haven't test that out yet. I guess it is all about the trust you put into the developers of the plugin. Speaking just about the features, logically speaking, the free version of Kadence + Getwid is good enough. But, if you want more features with reliability, such as the modal block, then you may consider getting the Kadence Blocks Pro. But with that said, if the free versions of the plugins can help you create the web pages that you require, then there is really no need for you to get the pro version.
Kadence Blocks Pro over and over again. 😀 This is based on a stressed test done between Gutenberg vs Page Builders: th-cam.com/video/DLmRK1ZBb-Q/w-d-xo.html
I use Oxygen, Livecanvas and recently Bricks builder most of the time, but thinking of the Gutenberg blocks it looks amazing and seems to be user friendly for the end user/client to edit their own website. I am abit overwhelmed with the lists you gave, can you advice if there is only one (or maybe two) blocks builder that you can have which one would you choose? Thanks for the video :)
Do you think that as a beginner that i could create a nice website with the cadence + getwid combo ? or is it still rather complicated when compared to Astra ? I want to be sure that my website is as fast as possible but also eye catching, but i dont want to build with Astra and have to rebuild later on to optimize with site speed. What do you think ?
Of course, with the Kadence Theme and Kadence Blocks, you can already do wonders. GetWid is not active anymore though, an alternative would be The Plus Blocks. I have quite a few Kadence Tutorials, feel free to check them out 😊
@@JackCao Amazing, thanks Jack. And what a speedy reply, wow! :) Just one last question for you. Is there any point in me getting a pro version of Generatepress ? i am new and trying to separate the difference between all these tools and builders.
@@mountainman4135 I would prefer to use Kadence free version for simple sites. The free version offers more than GP pro (except for hooked elements). If you don't know what is that, then yes, go for Kadence free theme for a start 🙂
@@JackCao there are videos showing you can get above 90. I just bought Divi These blocks don't give the convenience of building headers, footers, custom Designs will take much more time and effort. What these builders have done is taken care of WordPress functions that we would have to code.
I've tried all the plugins, they're good but I'm sad that none of them provide pretty and highly customizable POST GRID. I really wanna have a nice post grid like the one Blocksy theme has for displaying blog posts. Kadence Blocks' post grid is okay with a little bit of custom CSS but the column are limited to only 3, such a bummer. Do you have any suggestions for this? :(
A Kadence Blocks post grid can easily be made to have more than 4 columns with a single CSS declaration, as the container element is literally a CSS grid. You just change the grid-template-columns property into a higher number than 3. Of course they should really offer this option in the editor itself, but the fix only takes a minute.
hey man, nice tutorial there, which is the best theme to work with along those plugins? I'm an elementor pro user and I'm thinking in begin to work with the Gutenberg, and when it comes to ecommerce, what would you use?
Hi Wallace, I think it is between Kadence and Blocksy, but if your website is an affiliate site, then Blocksy: th-cam.com/video/Zv31rmKgaZw/w-d-xo.html
Hello Jack! I am impressed by your videos. I am really taking into consideration the use of Gutenberg blocks for website building. Besides of Kadence and GetWid blocks, I am thinking of adding Stackable to the team since it has some features I like at first glance. Would this be usable or 3 such plugins are too much together?
The good thing about these block plugins is that most of them, you can toggle certain blocks off, so that there will not be any duplicated blocks. I think 3 block plugins are fine, but I recommend not going more than that. Also, you may want to take note of those blocks that may slow down your site: th-cam.com/video/VU5VS0Po4h4/w-d-xo.html
I've done Kadence and Stackable - curious on the support provided with GetWid. I don't see anything on their website other than email. Blog is outdated and their site, seems a bit vague. Although from what I can tell GetWid is free, but free isn't worth it if you run into problems with no support. Have you setup GetWid blocks and how has your experience been so far?
@@gisele-grenier Based on previous videos of Jack Cao, I explored 11 options offering professional Gutenberg blocks and I ended up using Kadence, Qubely and Stackable (the free version only for this later). I put UAG and GetWid in reverse in case I cannot realize a desired page element with the aforementioned solutions. I tested a few GetWid blocks (Avanced Heading, Image Box and Accordion along with Media & Text Slider) and had no issues at all.
@@zoltankemenes1981 Thanks so much for your reply. Sorry to ask...is UAG ultimate addons for gutenberg? Yesterday, I tested Kadence Blocks with GetWid and Stackable... So I like that Kadence Blocks are identified in blue, Stackable in pink, but Getwid is black which mixes with the regular Gutenberg blocks. No issues with all three, but I'll be getting rid of GetWid. Now what's really cool... I have the Kadence membership, so I have access to Kadence Cloud. I can design a page layout using Kadence Block and Stackable and save it to the cloud. When I clone my staging template (unlimited licenses on everything), I can import the layout I created. I've never heard of Qubely and from their website, they have some lovely features. Their Get Pro link on their site goes to a 404 page, so I'll let them know and will give their free version a try now. Thanks again for sharing your information!
@@zoltankemenes1981 just an update.. so I had a conversation with Qubely tech support. They have not built their plugin for accessibility compliance so anyone in the USA, EU or Canada could be fined if someone were to complain that their (the website owner's) website wasn't compliant and if it's due to the plugin - basically I was told that "Qubely did not build the plugin for compliance" At least with Kadence, they did take compliance into account. I don't know about Stackable though.

@@JackCao Thanks man!
Hello Jack, i have to choose between Stackable, Spectra and Kadence, all in pro, to make e-commerce website (10 to make as a newbie), what would be your choice on this and why? Thanks for this and your content.@@JackCao
I noticed that Kadence Blocks slows the site, however Stackable is not slowing it down. Did you notice that Kadence Blocks slows the site quite a lot.
Thanks a tonne for this amazing video
Ive moved many of my websites from Divi to Gutenberg (Kadence pro) I do have a divi website with around 100 posts, each with Galleries and (Ultimate Video) Video Players. Am I asking for trouble toying with the idea of converting it from Divi to Kadence ?
Sir can I make a product add on page using Gutenberg
Can you comment on the speed impacts of using two block plugins simultaneously? I’ve been hesitant to use two block libraries simultaneously because of two concerns: speed and any possible plugin conflicts. If you can share on those topics, that’d be awesome!🤓
That's something I am going to explore soon. Hopefully the answer will be out this week or the next. I don't think there will be any issues with multiple plugins, but I think the impact will be more on the individual blocks that you use.
Thank you. Looking forward to what you find!
@@JackCaowas wondering if you have uploaded the video regarding this topic?
I want the Kadence Block tutorial! :D
hello I'm using the Newspaper theme. Please recommend a Gutenberg block suitable for blog posting. Blocks that are more suitable for page builders seem to cause a lot of conflicts.
Thanks, Jack. Liked and Subscribed.
Thank you 😀
Hi there, loved this video.
Why have you not include Qubely blocks here? Can it become another combo with kadence blocks?
Thanks a lot! ! ! ! This video has just saved me a lot of time with researching and testing 👌
Glad it helped! 😊
Hey jack just quick query!! If i put some element with getwid block and if i also use kadence block, will added elements using getwid show in mobile response of kadence block??
Also will realated post at the end of content show using these both
There shouldn't be any issues as Gutenberg blocks are made to compliment each other.
I would be very interested in your opinion on Qubely. Can you perhaps say something about this in another video or so?
I'm looking for a Gallery block for my photo gallery. I use a custom Genesis theme I created. What block builder has the best Gallery? I currently use Qubely pro, but it is too heavy for my needs.
Check out coblocks. It is built for photographers and people who needs to display visual portfolios.
@@JackCao thank you I designed all my other pages by custom coding. But the gallery post design is really only thing I need. Less plugins the best.
2nd video I've seen now saying the same. It's a concern as a lot of our sites are Elementor. I've started a new site now on Gutenberg to check this out fully.
Yup! I totally understand it is painful to switch from Elementor back to Gutenberg. It is a lot of work. But, it is necessary for the future.
Can i use kadence theme with blocksy template?
I don't think you can. All templates are customized based on the theme you've installed. So, I don't think it is possible.
Hi Jack, like your video. Just wondering if there's any tool pairs well with thee Gutenberg block plugin for things like text desgin? I mean these block plugins look like more focus on layout but I can not edit the text
Wow, great video! 🔥
You can do so with Kadence Blocks 😊
Hello, I really like this video, please when you recommend your favorite combination, you said Kadence Blocks and ( get rid blocks) what does that mean? I don`t understand the last one. I`m new in this topic. thank you
Getwid blocks 🙂 Google it.
@@JackCao I knew it!! thank you so much
Kadence blocks and Ultimate Addons for Gutenberg is what I use the most.
Do you still need plugins to speed them up?
please create a landing page with kadence block and the kadence theme?
@@JackCao Hi Jack,
No worries!
No question is silly, they are all valid 😊
All Gutenberg Blocks are embedded into the WordPress editor. So, if you just add a new page or post, and hover to the content area, you will see a "plus" where you can add block. Click on that, and select "see all", and a left panel will appear with all the Gutenberg Blocks, including those that you have installed.
@@JackCao much appreciated! 😁
Surprised to see Qubely missing from this list. Also, have you tried the Editor Plus plugin?
@@JackCao Thanks for responding, Jack. I appreciate you. 😊
Please post a video on designing using Kadence Blocks by replicating a page already designed in Elementor.
Have you tested post x ?
I am using this for my homepage .
What do you think ?
Nice! I just checked it out. I didn't know about Post x until you mentioned it. It does have quite a lot of useful Blocks. Thanks for sharing!
Do you know any similiar postx plugin?
@@SyamsQbattar The same company makes ProductX for WooCommerce blocks.
Kadence block pro or Elementor pro ? in terms of speed page
Hi, I would choose Kadence Blocks for the layout options, and GetWid to get the most functionality.
@@JackCao and what do you think is the better to create your own stuff and customize it with more granularity?
And I already have 48 posts. Is it possible to do this in any easy way?
@@JackCao Seems Getwid is avail, i just got it :)
Nice job. Are there Guttenberg plugins for RSS feeds and post listing (loop)?
Do you have any suggestions or solid plugins, for 2021 Gutenberg, on padding, margins and backgrounds on Blocks? I want to stay true to Gutenberg.
Try Kadence Blocks: jackcao.com/kadence-blocks
The design options are versatile and intuitive.
Hello Jack, thank you for the video. What do you think of ready-made Redux library and Quebly library?
Would you recommend these over Divi?
Absolutely 100%. Divi will slow down your website and you will never get a 90+ rating with Google Page Speed Insights.
@@JackCao refunding divi
@@JackCao would you say this option that you're presenting in your video is good for freelancing, compared to using builders
@@JackCao there are videos showing you can get above 90. I just bought Divi
These blocks don't give the convenience of building headers, footers, custom Designs will take much more time and effort. What these builders have done is taken care of WordPress functions that we would have to code.
How did you miss Qubely?
Did it in another video: th-cam.com/video/A55fMmGBpgk/w-d-xo.html
@@JackCao is that really that bad that it cannot even be in your top 10?
One more excellent video!!
Glad you liked it! 😊
Having both Kadence blocks and Genesis blocks won't be too much for my website, right?
Nope. My recommendation is a maximum of 3 Gutenberg block plugins.
Try postx plugin...
@@yoyotaka14 I've tried it, still not what I'm looking for
Content views then...
@@yoyotaka14 Tried... I hate the image display. If you have 16:9 image and 4:3, your grid looks like a mess
A Kadence Blocks post grid can easily be made to have more than 4 columns with a single CSS declaration, as the container element is literally a CSS grid. You just change the grid-template-columns property into a higher number than 3. Of course they should really offer this option in the editor itself, but the fix only takes a minute.
great video - thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
hey man, nice tutorial there, which is the best theme to work with along those plugins? I'm an elementor pro user and I'm thinking in begin to work with the Gutenberg, and when it comes to ecommerce, what would you use?
Hi Wallace, I think it is between Kadence and Blocksy, but if your website is an affiliate site, then Blocksy: th-cam.com/video/Zv31rmKgaZw/w-d-xo.html
@@JackCao hmmm gonna check them out, thanks bro =D
Awesome vid. Timestamps and a genesis blocks review please!
Timestamps done! Noted on Genesis blocks, but it is not a feature rich block plugin. Any reason why you are interested in it?
