PostX looks like a winner. I know the product is magazine oriented, but I can see a lot more possibilities beyond that. Looking forward to them completing their roadmap for even more dynamic content integration. They also have an interesting program for adding pro features to a fixed theme developer.
Thanks for this, you're doing great work. I have a question though, Which one could affect the loading speed? I have read a comment somewhere saying that Qubely affects the loading speed.
Thanks for this. Could you do a episode on the effect of each block plugin’s effect on PSI scores. For instance, Essential Blocks killed mine on a dev site. Keep up the great Gutenberg evangelism. You’ve already convinced one 4 yr Divi user to switch.
Me too. Sadly spent thousands of dollars buying dedicated plugins and lifetime bundles for Divi builder. My main issue was the backend being so slow that it was unbearable for designers. Now the investment is in the trash, and I have to redesign 20 websites with Kadence.
I am curious about the *plugins best user practice, for installation and later de-installation, to change to other (newer/better) block plugins:* if I use a block from a plugin, create content in it, and then later on *delete/deactivate the plugin*, the content which was created by utilizing a block from the deleted plugin will go back to a basic block (picture, text, etc)? So if a block plugin is deleted, chances are high, that layouts are affected. How to prevent this? I guess we need to be able to see which dependencies a block plugin has with which post (content in general). Any thoughts on that? I assume, as block plugins progress, some might become obsolete. How would one approach such an issue? An example: Qubely is great today, but will become obsolete, since Gutenbee will have it all and more in the future. How to make the transition without having all kinds of outdated Gutenberg block plugins installed?
Hi, I just looking for a comment plugin that doesn't has the subscribe field. Do you know some comment plugin without the subscription option? Tks Cléber
Hello Jack. Just a suggestion: Based on this and your previous video, why don't you suggest us what could be the best block combination among them all? That would be fantastic! Thanks, Jack!
'm sorry off topic, but I'm having a whale of a time resolving a Header issue. I want the text on the left and Hamburger menu on the right to line up with edges of the Slider below it. When I set the correct padding for the Tablet the padding for the phone is no good and visa versa. I cannot find a way to set them separately in the Customizer. Kadence Theme Pro Kadence Blocks Pro... Ive tried Tech support and they haven't come up with a solution
Jack, what happens if a start up plugin closes down in the future, will the installed block go away or have error codes appear in the section? So many new plugins coming up - it's hard to know which company will last? Thanks for all your content.
The effect will just be like the other plugins on the market. You will not notice any difference initially but as Wordpress advances, those "closed down" plugins will not be updated and slowly and surely it will not be compatible. So just in case any plugin closes down, you just need to change them immediately.
Can you build a form that redirects to a query path upon submission and shows certain posts based on that path? Its easy with elementor and conditions. Not sure how to do it other than coding a custom plugin.
Thanks for another great video Jack. I’m going to play around with these new block plugins this weekend. Can I ask - which block would be best for social sharing links for posts? Keep up the great work! Cheers!
Honestly, I don't think any of them are great at the moment. There is just one plugin that has this feature but it is basic. Most have the Social Profile link, but not social sharing. If you are looking for that, you may need to rely on plugins for now.
I was looking exact for such an amazing vid like this one for month!!! You are just awesome, thank you! I really hate page builders and your thoughts are exact the same as mine: Page builders are obsolete in 2022. They are outdated. But I did not know about all this features and things you are showing here. What about the header and footer design? Can you make transparent header and dynamic header too?
Thanks for the video! Are all of these plugins compatible most popular themes? I recently had an issue where some of the plugins you have mentioned caused massive errors with the default WordPress theme. And so I had to delete those plugins and switch the look of my site.
Thanks for your content. I work most of my projects using Elementor ir oxygen. I need to know if you can build a member area? (In Elementor you can use the profile builder of jetengine) can you do a single post of a custom post type? A archive? Custom header? Thanks a lot. I want to change muy projects to something more easier for my clients and more faster for myself thanks again
Thanks, Jack, for the excellent video help! You're helping my site revision make huge leaps forward. Question, though: do you know if there are any blocks for Gutenberg that are containers to copyright protect content?
Inspired by the 'Essential Blocks' part, I just gave it a spin (well, actually several spins). Was mostly interested in one of the blocks. Seemed to work fine. But my Google PageSpeed Insights score went down 40-50 points! Mobile went from 97-98 to 65, then to 46. Weirdly it had the same effect on another page, that was never touched by Essential Blocks. When I deactivate the plugin everything goes back to normal. Back and forth several times with same results. Anybody else seeing the same?
Great video. Quick question. Will using one Gutenberg block builder plugin (ie. ultimate blocks) slow down my wp website at all? Should I stick with the classic editor if I don't want to sacrifice any speed? Is there one you would recommend for not affecting speed? I have simple needs, don't require tons of options. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
@@JackCao yes bro magazine type... and is it possible to customize the footer pages/ menu in the home page like about us, Disclaimer, Terms and conditions according to my wish?
I would probably replace GetWid with The Plus Blocks as it is lightweight: th-cam.com/video/e9VTStmKVjc/w-d-xo.html I'll stick with Kadence Blocks for design fundamentals, like layouts.
And a supplementary question: if you do install a number of plug-in blocks can you mix and match them and does that create an overhead in size or speed?
Interesting review! Is there any way to let us place "any" blocks into a carousel / slider? It will be very interesting if you create a tutorial on this, I believe this will be very interesting and brings benefit to your viewer :D
I love the Gutenberg idea .. but man .. wordpress's weakness is plugins .. If gutenberg want to pass Elemenator just bundle much plugins in butenberg it self .. we had enough of more plugins .. .. Much plugins is much problems .. .. Keep it up Like the tutorial
Love you bro your info sharing is career changing! 🛑 BIG CONCERN!!! 🛑 Why do none of these offer Lottie integration?? Lottie is such a powerful way to use eye catching animations and yet being very lightweight.
Wow. 6 Builders is quite a lot. Honestly, you just need to know what design you want on your page and then you check which block plugins will provide those features to you. Most of the time you only need 1 to 2.
I am convinced Gutenberg is the future. It is so easy to use compared with Divi and Elementor. I am converting all my Web Sites to Gutenberg. Thanks for your videos. I use them as a reference.
I'm kind of disappointed. Some of these are horrible for performance, i.e. qubely. Qubely might be all fancy but its buggy, development stopped for a while and as i said terrible Performance. Their image comparison block is also horrible. Place the same image in the two columns. They wont show exactly the same.

Will there be a page speed test of this block plugins?
Nice question. I am following..
If you put in a request, I will look into it. I did one with Kadence Blocks DOM. I am planning for Stackable 3.0 DOM. Anymore request?
I´d be very interested in watching this tutorial if you decide to do it.

Congrats on the switch! 😉 Thanks for pointing the issues with Essential Blocks, I'll definitely do multiple videos on each Gutenberg Block Plugins.

Need an antenna that is long and wide. Haha! Actually I got most of these from the good people who left a comment on my channel. 😁

Top 3 maybe
Nice Review, Jack. Thank-you. Always interesting content!
Happy to share these 😁 Thanks for watching!
How do these blocks affect speed?
Another awesome video. Thanks a lot Jack! I think I will take a closer look at Essential Blocks in a first round.
You are welcome and thank you! 😊

awesome. especially the animated text is cool.
i see myself using up tp 10 plugins in the end :(
Good thing about some block plugins is you can toggle the feature off if you don't use it.

Does that mean page builders are not good? great vids btw!
Page builders (matured ones like Elementor, Divi, Thrive Themes) slows down your site. They are great for designing pages though.
Can you rank or pick the block that good for responsive and one that’s not yet recommended ?
Inspired by the 'Essential Blocks' part, I just gave it a spin (well, actually several spins). Was mostly interested in one of the blocks. Seemed to work fine. Hmm. That cause for an investigation on the plugin. 😁 Will do one vid on guternberg block plugins that will slow down you site.

I presume it is a magazine type blog? If so, then this: jackcao.com/postx

This is the problem. We are still locked in the elementor... I want to use Gutenberg, but I see that it is not as easy as the other one.
Hi Jack,
Can you mix these block editors? Will they conflict or should you choose just one?
Gutenberg Blocks should work well together, but my recommendation is not to install more than 3.
ya very good work, but can u give us a complete website design from scratch in any one of block plugin a website tutorial....thank u
this was a great video, thanks. Question: is it a good idea to install them all on the same wordpress site?
And a supplementary question: if you do install a number of plug-in blocks can you mix and match them and does that create an overhead in size or speed?
Just two will be powerful.
is it possible to mix using page builder and Gutenberg block plugin
Yes you can, but I don't see the point because Gutenberg blocks can do most of what page builders can do.
@@JackCao thanks
Thanks Jack!

Qubely and Stackable, maybe later or soon Plus addons for Gutenberg.

You can use Kadence advanced slider block for that. Inside each slide you can do simply anything, like using other blocks.
Agree with @mistergeko! Advanced Slider Block does what you have described. 😊
