The Carol Burnett Show is one of the fondest memories I have from my childhood. My parents never missed an episode and it was a show that the entire family loved. Thanks, Carol.
My Sister and I would fall on the floor laughing watching The Eunice Skits and then when she did a Parody of The Bette Davis Movies where she plays Twins.
Born in 1959. She turned out to be a role model for me. To this day I have a goofy sense of humor and still the "class clown". Thank you Carol from the bottom of my heart. Wish you were my real mother!
A lot of wonderful and iconic memories happened in the 70s. The Carol Burnett show was one of them!! I am so happy that was the era I grew up in. Absolutely nothing compares to those times in entertainment. Thank you Carol and Company. As an only child, I had something to look forward to.👑🤣🕗📺
My family has always LOVED Carol Burnett! She could make the kids laugh, the parents laugh, the grandparents laugh, as well as all the aunts, uncles, and cousins! Thank you Carol for all of the good times, laughs, and memories you have given to us all! My family have gone now but I still get to see you on Hallmark's Signed, Sealed, and Delivered popular show! THANK YOU!!!

The only time I ever heard my mom laugh out loud was at the Carol Burnett Show. I would sneak out of bed on Fridays just to hear that wonderful sound. Thank you, Miss Carol, for giving me that lifelong memory.
I was little and I remember waiting with baited breath every week for the Carol Burnett Show. My family stopped everything we were doing and hung on every laugh. It's cool then next day we would talk about everything we saw on The Carol Burnett Show and our favorite characters.
I was working at Sunset Blvd and Pacific Coast highway at the Standard Oil station when she came in for gasoline. This as I remember was in the 70s . I said “Hey! You’re Carol Burnett “? She said yes and asked me my name! I continued to put gas in her car and check under the car hood. She got out and asked me what I looked at under the hood? We chatted and I remember her down to earth demeanor and kindness. What a great lady! I asked about her daughters as I remember. She was so down to earth. She could be like your next door neighbor yet she really is iconic in every sense of the word ❤.
I have been very fortunate enough to be able to say I have not only met Carol Burnett but to be able to have a couple of minutes just to talk with her. I lived in an apartment building in Vancouver where they were shooting some production there. I walked out of my flat and literally ran into her. Just her and I. Not only was she so nice whilst I was star struct fumbling my words but she put me at ease by thanking me for letting them film there(had 0 input). She was so lovely and nice. I will always cherish and appreciate my two minutes getting to talk to her in that hallway. ❤
Carol Burnett is an icon..comedian, actress, lady! Mrs-uh Wiggins, the Gone With the Wind sketch “I saw it in the window and just had to have it”, As the stomach turns”, her Tarzan imitation..These were the good ole days I remember watching her variety show! Nothing ever like it again (sigh) ….
That would have been so special, what a beautiful wonderful experience. I always felt she was true and real. And so bloody funny. Every time I tell people about her they always say the same no matter their age, even today. How cool is that and you got to meet and talk to her ❤🥰 bless your cotton socks 😊
I got to see the Gone With the Wind/curtain rod skit when it first aired. I have never ever laughed so hard in my life. That was pure magic and such a wonderful memory; Thank you Carol!
Looking back I missed the comedy of the curtain dress other than she looked like a samauri soldier. I had shirts and quilts made of old curtains and flour sacks so that passed as normal to me. cloth sacks were washed and taken apart and patterns pinned and cut out for smaller projects. dish rags and napkins. we recycled tin cans for replacement of water glasses broken by two towheaded boys. Tin cans did survive our growing up years. Carol could relate.
This elderly gentleman lives in the same condo as myself. He was a limo driver some years back and he said Carol was the nicest person he had ever met. She also tipped him twice. He also drove the limo for other famous people and I will not mention how they behaved.
My family loved, Loved, LOVED this woman and her show as a kid and we have watched old show many times! We almost all died laughing at all her characters and the "Tim Conway elephant skit" can't ever be forgotten, then at the end of every show was a musical number. The perfect family show, there was something for everyone. Unfortunately, we didn't care much for "Mama's Family" but I know many people who liked it.
Great cast too, who all had as good a time as Carol. Harvey Korman, Tim Conway, Vicki Lawrence and Lyle Wagoner had a ball and Carol kept them guessing, and improvising like Gary Moore did to her. They were all comedic gold.
Seeing Harvey, Lyle, Tim honestly almost had me in tears I love carol Burnett she’s ballsy but humble ah carol and Harvey were the best on screen couple
The one thing I can say about Carol Burnett is she was visibly kind and human in a time when the world needed to see that. Without her show and her contagious nature unknowingly schooling the viewer and showing us the world would be a better place by wearing your heart on your sleeve and showing your feelings, letting them bleed through the mask you wear. She performs in such a way you see the character she wants you to see but you also somehow see in her eyes how she truly feels about the created person and what they are doing. If she is portraying someone mean spirated there is a regret underlying it somehow. She's Amazing! I just loved her in Annie!
I grew up with my grandma and mother and sister. I was the boy the youngest. The grandson, son, brother. And it was the sixties/seventies. And the four of us would sit at my grandmas house every Saturday night and hang out with Carol and eat snacks, leftovers, etc. and just laugh and forget how poor we were and the war she was just a friend that would help us enjoy ourselves together. I love what she meant to our families, our country our lives. She was meant to do this. Thank You, thank you, thank you! Love always, Always love, forever.❤💃❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥😉👼
So sad that this generation is passing. Our beautiful Betty's has died a wonderful friend of Carrol Burnett. Each so Great In their own Right. There's nothing else to say Thanks You for your talents and cry as we have cried for Betty White departure 😭.
I really enjoyed watching this. Carol Burnett has always been, and still is, one of my favorite people. Her television shows were great. Great entertainment!
If you read Julie Andrew's autobiography you realise both she and Carol grew up in the same circumstances. Julie's mother became an alcholic because her step-father was, and eventually her mother followed. The man she grew up calling Daddy she found out was not her father. Singing as a teenager at some private party a man talked to her and later on Julie found out from her mother he was her father. While doing "My Fair Lady" in London this man appeared and made it known a relationship could be established. Julie felt this guy was trying to take away what was due her Daddy and nothing else happened. In no way did Julie Andrews' come from a high class background. I think this brought both of them together!
I was brought up in a alcoholic abusive home so when we sat in front of the TV to watch The Carol Burnett show, and was able to laugh was a real deal breaker for me. To look back now she was someone who helped me get through a terrible childhood. She did more for so many then she knows. ❤
Harvey Korman was in the jewelry shop I worked in at the old Sheraton in Ka'anapali, circa 1986 -87. He said something very funny to me about how he was relieved we had closed for an hour for lunch, because of his wife wanting to shop, or something. The manner in which he said it was naturally silly and I just laughed... when he left I realized who he was.
I do believe that humor is our sixth sense and is for Our good. We all love and need more of Carol Burnett. Wouldn't it be great to have more great, clean, respectful, family comedy like that again? More so now than ever before. ❤ Love always, Always love, forever.❤ 💃👼❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥😉
One of the most memorable elements of the Carol Burnett show and it's comedy sketches was how many times the actors (especially Harvey Korman) tried, often failed, to suppress their laughter. Carol often had to bite her nails or chew her lip to keep from cracking, but the audience felt it. So it became obvious they were really having fun, which made it all the more honest and endearing. It's raw talent and heartfelt delivery of entertainment, which is pretty rare these days. Thank you Carol and your troupe for all that sheer joy.
She is truly a trailblazer, and she was also BRILLIANT and HONEST and HILARIOUS! I was still in Elementary school but I remember watching The Carol Burnett Show with my whole family. That was before everyone had their own T. V. in a different part of the house. We had 1 TV AND we didn't even have a colour TV until 1976! My Dad wanted to watch the 1976 Summer Olympics, in Montreal, in colour. I loved watching her show, I loved and still do love Miss Carol. ❤️ What an outstanding job A. M did telling her story. 👏👏
Though I was a kid in the '80s, I had very good parents. They raised me on Carol Burnett, the Muppet Show, The Smothers Brothers, and all that wonderful comedy we used to make in America. So this excellence, though I missed 30 years of it before I was born, is very meaningful to me.
Carol was/is a brilliant performer and while her show originally aired, I was doing things other than watch TV, but years later on TH-cam, I discovered just how varied and unique her humor was. Speaking of myself, my own familial background reassembled hers, except mine was even sadder. It has been a long journey for me and a worthwhile one, mostly centered around forgiveness and forgiving myself, along with a dollop of gratitude.
Carol has à human connection. She shared her heart and soul one hundred percent. This was before the age of the cell phone. There are hood and bad with the cell phones. My family watched Carol bring love and humor into her home. She was the best and gracious and down to earth. Tim and allhsrvey were great. She always you laugh.
+Rosario Cardona I do not believe there's another Gal with the gift she gave all of America. How grateful I am to have experienced her particular wit, charm and character. Carol-WHAT A GAL!
Thank you for running this. Our family household was a little fussy until it was time to turn the 📺 on for The carol Burnett Show. Then we all became loving and laughing.
I luckily got to grow up watching her weekly show. There wasn't a singer she couldn't sing with and that includes Julie Andrews, a dancer she couldn't match or another comedian she wasn't equal too or better. She wasn't competing with them, she just had so much talent!! Each week was a full on entertainment spectacular!! Much love to my favorite red heads, Lucille Ball, Julie Andrews and Carol Burnett. I always hoped Carol would have the other two on with her at the same time. Unfortunately it was only one at a time. Though those were some of my favorite episodes.
For eleven years the Carol Burnett Show was required viewing in our household. From day one, to it's final airing, Ms Burnett's variety show was NEVER a wasted hour! We followed it from Mondays, to Wednesdays, to Saturdays, to Friday. There's a reason Carol Burnett is a legend---She was BRILLIANT!
Happy birthday Carol !!! Your Birthday I think is this Sunday or Monday ! Love you ! Your a Gift with your Talent ! To millions of people , youve Brought me So much Joy ! Watching you over the yrs. Lord Bless You !!! Have a Great time On this Birthday and know you are Loved !!!
I cried when in 1978!she gave her last show then go sit and sing her song in earnest when she sang her theme song. I"I m So Glad We HD This Time Together" best of all I still cry when I hear her sing that song. It hit me very hard...She is an Icon to be remembered for her kindness, gentleness and beauty. I admired her for her versatility in acting Eunice then the mop lady then further her joy in presenting her show guests honor and true wonderful character . She shined like an angel in the dark. When I was asked to play on stage I had watched her so closely on the floor in my folk s house how she portrayed the cleaning lady, I grabbed my mom s pail and mop and acted like her. My mom cracked up and hysterically began to laugh. I was asked then to act in those kind of parts on stage by my directors. In eighth grade because of her acting skills she showed me was given a standing ovation and this carried me to act on stage on the Paramount Theater by my High school Drama teacher who was our Playwright and produced for the first year of "The Ziegfeld Follies". We had 3 ovations given us by our generous audiences. There was curtain call and as the stage manager had just closed it there was a thunder of whistles and loud noises coming from my three children plus my husband. We actors thought we were done ,but more clapping and hooping and hollering came over our stage one more curtain call then followed by another and they were still standing when the curtain descended to the front stage door We had people surprising us back stage.I ll never forget that my teachers plus WMT Radio that were in the audience and cast were all over our production. I found they filmed us as the stars.Ehat an honor they bestowed upon us! 😭😂😘😀❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
@@shirleyfunte3063 so glad I had the foresight not to have kids. The world sure has changed for the worst since that last show in 1978 which I recall that final episode
27.57 : "Went With the Wind" was SO funny. Being in England, I hadn't seen any of Carol's shows, and found it by chance here on TH-cam, only a few years ago. "Went With The Wind" is still one of her best. The curtains as a dress ! "I saw it in the window and couldn't resist it!" Genius idea by the costume designer. Wonderful shows. 🇬🇧💕🇺🇲⭐😊💕
I have always loved Carol Burnet. Since I was a little child, my family and me would watch it and - as they said - talk. I had no idea she had gone through so many tragedies in her life. Now I'm over sixty and she still makes me laugh and cry. May she always be the queen of comedy.
I grew up respecting Carol Burnett. I saw her comparable to my mother. A lady who worked hard. Yet, still had time for me. It thrills me, that they’re both alive!
I'm surprised 'the other redhead' didn't seem to make the cut in 1 hour,, 23 minutes, and 55 seconds of Carol's Story ? They so beautifully covered SO MUCH that I was unaware of . . . would this have become too deep a rabbit hole to venture the mention of ?
Carol Bernet is great, she and I Love Lucy are TWO Crazy RED HEAD'S I've Watched Them For Years and The Reruns are to Die For, With Shows You Laugh Outloud At.
Everything l've heard or seen during this documentary has touched me sincerely. I grew up watching the Carol Burnett Show as a child. As a child, l took for granted the honest happy feelings she made me feel ,.coming through a television screen. If l had to pick out one thing that rose above all eles concerning M. Burnett, was her inter strength to " handle " the passing of her child in the way that she did. I have absolutely no idea where such fortitude could come from. Thank to those who made this documentary possible..And of course, Thank you Mrs Burnett for having spent some time with us.
That show was absolutely one of a kind, that captured lightning in a bottle. It would be nigh impossible to recreate the chemistry, and shear brilliance of Tim and Carol. As much as I liked Harvey, Vicky, and Lyle. Had it not been for the brilliance of Carol ... [her show obviously] and Tim Conways improvisational skills, the other 3 actors wouldn't be as recognizable as they are/were
Our family got to visit Los Angeles for the first time. There we were, in the entertainment capital, watching reruns of The Carol Burnett Show. We were laughing so hard... I was watching when she got started in 1967.
Most talented physical comedian ever, brought about life’s life’s pain growing up. Early on she decided that life was good and determined to focus on the fun part of life.
You are a true legendary woman who has given so many laughs to so many people. You to me are the Queen of comedy and Tim Conway is sure your king of comedy. 💙💜💛💚❤ Harvey you were carols number 2 yous were amazing together. Rest in peace Tim and Harvey.
Happy Birthday Carol Burnett! Appreciate So Very Much The Wonderful Lady and Laughter For Many Years Of Your Television Shows ! God Bless You And Thank You!
Love the Carol Burnett show!

I grew up on The Carol Burnett Show love this lady. I think she's underappreciated and underrated.
if you couldn't already see how amazing she is, it's apparent in how fondly everyone around her speaks of her, in such high regards
Carol has a beautiful voice just like her heart
She is truly a MASTER.
+Rosario Cardona I do not believe there's another Gal with the gift she gave all of America.
How grateful I am to have experienced her particular wit, charm and character.
Carol-WHAT A GAL!

There will never be another show like The Carol Burnett Show, my all time favorite #1 Show
No one like her, and never will be. She is the best of he best!
Carol Burnett is a Worldwide Treasure.
It’s such a treat finding all of her amazing shows on TH-cam 😂👍🏻🥰
Thank you for running this. Our family household was a little fussy until it was time to turn the 📺 on for The carol Burnett Show. Then we all became loving and laughing.
I had the great opportunity to meet Carol Burnett at the Carlisle Hotel in 2002. What an honor.
Didn't know it, just found out it's Carol's birthday today. Happy Birthday Carol! Thank You for all the laughs!
I love you Carol! Thank you doesn’t even begin to cover it. 💗
An American treasure and the funniest comedian of all time. Kind, generous, wholesome humor that will never go out of fashion.
Carol Burnett is one of a kind. Could never be duplicated
Her show was great and her movies too. Loved her I four seasons
Your Birthday
I think is this Sunday or Monday !
Love you ! Your a Gift with your Talent !
To millions of people , youve Brought me
So much Joy ! Watching you over the yrs. Lord Bless You !!! Have a Great time
On this Birthday and know you are Loved !!!
what a huge part of my life this woman was... golden. brilliant. everything.
Besides being a supremely talented woman in so many areas, she seems like a really cool likeable lady. True class act.
Thank to you UTUBE I was able to relive my childhood days!
@@shirleyfunte3063 so glad I had the foresight not to have kids. The world sure has changed for the worst since that last show in 1978 which I recall that final episode
When she had the girl come up and sing “Shy” with her - 😭🥰😭🥰😭😍

"Went With the Wind"
was SO funny.
Being in England,
I hadn't seen any
of Carol's shows,
and found it by chance
here on TH-cam,
only a few years
ago.
"Went With The Wind"
is still one of
her best.
The curtains
as a dress !
"I saw it in the
window and
couldn't resist it!"
Genius idea by the
costume designer.
Wonderful shows.
🇬🇧💕🇺🇲⭐😊💕
The genius of the one and only Bob Mackie♥️🧸🎶⚘
I have always loved Carol Burnet. Since I was a little child, my family and me would watch it and - as they said - talk. I had no idea she had gone through so many tragedies in her life. Now I'm over sixty and she still makes me laugh and cry. May she always be the queen of comedy.
I grew up respecting Carol Burnett. I saw her comparable to my mother. A lady who worked hard. Yet, still had time for me. It thrills me, that they’re both alive!
Carol Burnett - the funniest female comedian of all time and yes, funnier than the other redhead
Hello Linda
How are you doing today?
I'm surprised 'the other redhead' didn't seem to make the cut in 1 hour,, 23 minutes, and 55 seconds of Carol's Story ?
They so beautifully covered SO MUCH that I was unaware of . . .
would this have become too deep a rabbit hole to venture the mention of ?
Carol Bernet is great, she and I Love Lucy are TWO Crazy RED HEAD'S I've Watched Them For Years and The Reruns are to Die For, With Shows You Laugh Outloud At.
Absolutely
Harvey Korman, Tim Conway and Vicki Lawrence - simply the best ever. Esp Vicki as mama 🤣
Carol Burnett is the GREATEST...Beautiful, Charming and of course Funny.... The world totally loves you!!!
Mama’s Family was the most hilarious show I have EVER SEEN.! During the Carol Burnett Show and later…
They were all comedy gold!!!
[her show obviously]
and Tim Conways improvisational skills, the other 3 actors wouldn't be as recognizable as they are/were
Our family got to visit Los Angeles for the first time.
She is brilliant!!! ☮️💟
I have and will never laugh so hard as I do with Carol😂She is a light in the darkness ❤
You are a true legendary woman who has given so many laughs to so many people. You to me are the Queen of comedy and Tim Conway is sure your king of comedy. 💙💜💛💚❤ Harvey you were carols number 2 yous were amazing together. Rest in peace Tim and Harvey.
Hello Amanda
