  • Faith to Walk Ministries Review of the R.L. Allan Longprimer, Black Meriva Calfskin.
    This is a classic.

    I didn’t mention that the words supplied by the KJV translators do not appear in italics in the R.L. Allan. These words were added so that the text would flow better in English. Even though I prefer that, it is still all a part of the word of God, therefore R.L. Allan doesn’t put them in italics.

    Allan does a fantastic job. I don’t have one or plans to buy one, but I enjoy watching videos on them.

    Beautiful Bible. I use a Canterbury as my daily driver but I just ordered a 53 Longprimer to read through my next time through. I’m excited to read it. Thank you for your review.

      @@PastorErickDMarquez red letter isn’t all that. To me it makes the Bible harder to read. Somehow the red washes out in my office when I read.

      @@PastorErickDMarquez I love Cambridge's deep Red Letter and prefer red letter when I can get it, but there's no substitute for the Longprimer.

    My 63 is my favorite... the layout and font, and especially that it really does feel the best in the hands. I've never held a 43, 52, 53 or 62 to compare it to but yeah, I love it. I have a ESV NC1 that's beautiful and a 5WM which is totally awesome but not as wieldly. 63 is def my fav to hold and carry.

    Do you lean more towards the Schuyler Canterbury regular yapp or full yapp and why? Would love to hear some reasons before I make a purchase!

    • @keithclayton1271
      @keithclayton1271 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      For me if something's available in Full Yapp I go with that because it protects the text block better against spills, rain, falling, etc. better.

    • @faithtowalkministries132
      @faithtowalkministries132  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have found myself leaning for the regular yapp on the Canterbury. I think it’s just easier to turn the pages when I’m preaching. It’s probably more the reason is I’m just used to it.

      Allan sell out of pretty much every batch of every Bible they produce eventually. But yeah, I'd have to snatch one up if they ever came out with a Red Letter edition Longprimer. On Allans I'm indifferent about them not having spine hubs. They're built like tanks and lay flat so it's all good to me.

    Hi brother, glad to see you doing vids. again. I enjoy it. How is the premier collection bible (Nelson?) holding up?
    I have a brevier Clarendon , I love it. It’s 8 pt, maybe small font for some. Very portable, “small”, I bring it when I’m traveling. I am torn between the 52 and 43(thin line) lol first world probs.

      The premier collection Nelson has held up well, but I haven’t used it much the past year. My Schuyler Canterbury took first place!
