Leica M11 Menus

Looking through all the control, the home screen and the menus of the new Leica M11. Check out the home screen controls of the Leica M11, see what the touch screen is like, get my feedback on how the user interface could be improved. The M11's home screen is really good with the shortcuts. The advanced menu system itself if more like the Leica M240 or Leica M10. I'll take you through how I'd setup the custom function buttons of my new Leica M11 and the menus based around how I like to shoot.

What is the best workflow to use when shooting. Internal and SD Card 128gb? How can you transfer the raw files to your macbook pro without taking the card out the Leica?

Profiles aren’t for nerds they are for people who shoot in the same place frequently. I shoot in the operating rooms at 5 different hospitals. I perfect ISO, white balance and minimum shutter speed at a particular aperture one time. As I move from hospital to hospital I change profiles. Works well when light is controlled and does not vary. Not only does it make shooting easier but it provides continuity of look from shoot to shoot.

Thanks much for this. I’ll watch it several times. I’m planning to get an m11 when the lens I want gets restocked. Very silly question: did you put a screen protector on? Wondering if I should.

You’re welcome. I don’t use a screen protector myself, the glass on the screen is very tough.

Hi Adam, Seal here. Thanks for a great rundown of the menu system. I have a question for you. At the beginning of the video, you state that the tiles can be customised as in you don’t have to have the particular ones it shipped with. How exactly does one change/customise them? Thanks.
