Thank you for posting this video. In the book, some of the charts have the red square with other stiches falling outside of it (such as the duck, which is multiple of 16 + 1). Does this mean I treat the red box as a repeat until the final repeat of the row, then add the +1 and knit what's outside of the red box? Thanks in advance.
You are most welcome - thank you for watching! Using the duck motif you mentioned as an example, the column of stitches that fall outside of the red box tend to be treated differently depending on whether or not you are working in the round or working flat. If working in the round, you can skip that column. If working flat, that column will end up being worked once and become your left edge. But do keep in mind that if you want more space between each repeat of the motif, you might consider 1) pretending that column falls inside the red line or if you want a larger gap 2) have that column represent "X" number of stitches inbetween mottif repeats. Hope that helps! 🙂
Ooooo now I need a new book!!! ❤🧶
😁
I own her other book and LOVE it. A knitter who likes colorwork must get both book. It is called "Alter Knits"
As much as I love this one, I definitely need a copy of the other one! 😁👍
