    If you're looking for a cost-effective high-grit sanding solution more for polishing surfaces than removing larger amounts of material, then look at fret rubbers for guitars. They're basically like those pads you got but they're small rubber sanding blocks, normally in 3 grits. Luthiers use them to clean up and polish the frets on guitars.

    While I've never used Dspiae paints or tools myself. I've kept up to date with some of their offerings watching Barbatos Rex's in depth reviews, and boy do they have a LOT of fun stuff!
    Great video as always!

    I love my Dspiae nippers. When I got into gunpla everybody was singing the praises of Godhand... but honestly my Dspiae seem to do just as good and have lasted me longer then my mate's Godhand so feel like I not only saved money but dodged a bit of a plastic bullet.

    Great video, but I must argue I do like story time here as I learn something each time lol. I like how interchangeable hobby supplies can be one tool can be used for so many different hobbies and it feels like people are still finding niche tools that actually work great.
    Again great video :)

      @@RisingApe oh absolutely, and that's also what I liked. The fact when you do talk about products you're straight to the point, and only talk about your experience nothing about how it'll change the hobby just if you thought it was helpful and how helpful it was :)

    Checking back in. Have been using the DSPIEA sanding pads and they are much beter than I thought at first. The thing they excel at (even though they are a bit large for 32mm) is that they are flexible without the sandpaper crackling or coming off the sponge. Great quality. We can allways cut them up to better fill our needs, although glueing them back together won't work so well...😅

    The pen drill looks quite promising, how well does it work with tiny drill bits and pinning metal models?

    • @RisingApe
      @RisingApe  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey, I have used it to pin plastic models, with a sharp bit it should be fine with metal. To use 1/2mm bits you need to bulk the bit out but I use a qtip to do that and it works really well

    Yeah, definitely going to have to check out those flexible sanding strips, as they offer a versatility that my current setup doesn't quite offer. Here's hoping they offer replacement sandpaper for such now, as it would be lovely to have a rather flexible sanding pad alongside the aluminum ones and my Infini softback ones that are an absolute joy.
