Luckier than one of my trips to Denmark, I was in Aarhus when a hurricane force storm arrived; the local airport was closed so I had to get my Danish colleague to drive me to Copenhagen. Whilst crossing the Great Belt bridge, all the lights went red and all the traffic stopped on the bridge; after about 30 minutes the police arrived and told us to move on and clear the bridge which had been closed due to the storm. I eventually arrived at Copenhagen airport in time for my flight home, only for the flights to be cancelled due to the storm. I managed to find a comfy seat in the business lounge and get some food and drink until an alarm sounded at about 11:30 pm and we had to clear the lounge, as they were concerned a tower crane may topple over onto the lounge. I spent the rest of the night perched on a very uncomfortable bar stool in a cafe; in the morning I found the alarm was actually a false alarm and they had let everyone back into the business lounge about 10 minutes after kicking us out!

    • @ragnkja

Felix Felicis is extremely toxic in large quantities, and I think a whole bottle at once is likely to qualify as that. Also, overuse can cause giddiness and reckless behaviour.

Billund is weird. It basically only exists because of Lego and has been hard to integrate otherwise. The location doesn't geographically make sense for Aarhus and locals are adverse to public transport anyway, so most people are only mildly upset at having to drive to the airport and leave their cars there. Otherwise most international tourists fly to Copenhagen and stay there or take the train directly to the bigger towns, skipping Billund completely.

Well but it's located within a major city. Billund is in the middle of nowhere. Right at the tri point between The cities of Aarhus, Esbjerg, and the Tri state towns of Fredericia, Kolding and Vejle. The only reason the airport is even there is because of Lego.

Honestly Tom, if you are 13 krona short on a bus fare to the airport. Pretty much ANYONE on that bus would be happy to front those 13 krona for you.
    I know i would!
Sure, people can be devious about it. But generally, i read people and when they genuinely seem confused/surprised that they cannot afford something. I am more than happy to pitch in.
And 13 krona is like a 50 cc coca cola bottle anyways. It's pretty much nothing an in exchange you get to feel really good about yourself no matter if you had been tricked out of 13 krona or not.

There's something inherently British about a comedic story where the person is completely flabbergasted that they survived being almost screwed over a dozen times in one day...
Only for the punchline to be them being screwed over soon afterwards 😂😂😂

That's not the only European airport without a train station. Dublin airport is the largest airport in Ireland and despite being open since 1940, still has no rail link. Only buses and taxis which have to travel on a really congested motorway.
