Mid-June bite was on fire at Smithland Dam on the Ohio River

My brother Hal and I decided to try it again even though we got skunked our last 2 times out. The bite was crazy good below Smithland Dam until they opened up 7 gates (only 1 open when we started).

Great day of fishing. The best part was you giving Hal instructions on how to perform a burping procedure on a catfish. I guess you perform surgery on catfish now.

I assume you are talking about Nolin Lake. It is over 2 hrs away. I have been there but not to fish
