I want to note one Cowboy move I think you are sleeping on is throw gun, if you have bullets as you throw it it will bounce off the opponent‘s head then fire a round mid air, it’s a really nice combo extender and you can pick the gun back up later. It’s also why I don’t usually six shot immediately with the gun
Teleport is now you select direction when you activate warp stance. Then, you choose either foresight or teleport. Teleport moves you to where your direction was set, while foresight _doesn't_ teleport you but sets a mirage. You can then use Time Rift to instantly teleport to it. It turns into a 50/50 where one half leads to a later mixup/teleport, but you have to select it ahead of time.
@@Retromation it was changed like this because Cowboy is (in the dev's own words) either too powerful or too weak. So he's trying out some changes and I thing they're better than what it was before, as every cowboy would teleport in neutral and it was always better than any of the other character's options
warp stance is an interesting one. Weird to get used to at first, but a very quirky change. Choosing between teleport or foresight is a fun dynamic, and making a clone to time shift to can prove very effective for a quick escape or hard counter.
Very glad to see this series continue! At the end of the last video you seemed to suggest it might be the last, and I love watching this game almost as much as I love playing it. Also love to see actual gameplay; other videos here on yt are usually focused on the end-of-game replays which look cool but are not as interesting to me personally.
I'm not sure I 100% understand the new teleport but from the patch notes it seems like warp stance let's you place a shadow clone thingy, (you can aim where it goes but from how much I've watched you haven't moved the dial that lets you aim it, causing the clone to spawn on top of you every time) then at a later time you can teleport to that shadow clone. (The reason why you couldn't aim this teleport is because you where main to aim it when you were using was stance, after that point you can't move it). You are in the middle of comboing the opponent then you can just use the regular teleport but at neutral you need to use warp stance. If you or the shadow clone gets hit then the shadow clone disappears and you need to place another one. Where I stay getting confused is with foresight. From the patch notes it looked like foresight caused the shadow clone to explode but from this match it doesn't seem like that's what happened so I'm not sure
Ok, so from my understanding of it, the warp stance has you first pick where you WILL teleport if you don’t foresight, and foresight lets you say psyche and instead place a shadow clone which you can teleport to later or explode. So the idea is if your opponent does something to counter your approaching teleport you can foresight instead to dodge that, then possibly use your clone to teleport later. I believe opponents can also deal any amount of damage and poof foresight clones though, and the radius you can send your foresight is very small.
If you haven't figured it out yet this is how it works: Teleport can't be used in neutral anymore, but it can be used like normal after you land a hit (for extending combos). As for Teleport in neutral, you have to use Warp Stance. You select the direction with Warp Stance, and then the next turn you have the option to Teleport to that location, or instead use Foresight (needs another direction input) to place a mirage. Once the mirage is placed, you can then use Time Shift to warp to the mirage, or you can use the Time Rift special to explode it.
I just got into modding Yomi myself, and I gotta say, it's expanded the game so much I don't ever wanna play the base characters again, even tho I like them. The modding sphere hasn't yet fully transfered and some of my favorite mods aren't yet on Steam, I use the free version to play against my friends even tho I bought it on Steam. I recommend you just download a bunch of cool characters and backgrounds and go wild off the bat, you're missing out!
I went and bought this game as soon as you reviewed it the first time, and now I have almost 40 hours in it. Been trying to get all my friends hooked as well. Thanks for once again introducing me to a gem of a game. I love the modded background too. Makes the game's atmosphere so much better. I think I like Cowboy's teleport overhaul. It's basically pinging a portal with benefits onto the battlefield, chosen by one of those dials you missed toying with on occasion. I'm sure you get it by now. I hope maybe one day our paths will cross. You should hop into servers, or create servers online. I'd hop into the ring with you. Cheers
I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask, but have you considered revisiting Skul The Hero Slayer at all? I know you had some issues with it when you played initially, but there have been a ton of QoL changes, new skulls have been added, old skulls have been readjusted and there's a new Dark Mirror Mode with increasing difficulty and new enemies (and new gameplay mechanics). It's almost an entirely different game than when you initially played and the update is entirely free. Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask about this (since I'm talking about an unrelated game) but I would love to see if you enjoy it more on a revisit even if you don't do a full playthrough of the new mode! Love your content!
Somehow I completely missed your videos on this game and so this is the first time I see it and I just wanna say that it looks really really cool, it’s exactly my type of game and I will definitely go and watch your other videos on it
The workshop has a really cool mod for backdrops. We're using One Last Hustle workshop background!
some characters are also amazing, you should check those out as well
Thanks for the recommendation! Been loving this series
Cool

that is certainly waaay more complicated than "man go here" it'll take a lot of getting used to

@@Retromationit’s likely gonna be gone or changed at some point, since not many cowboys like it
@@CaptainFalconRacerI do think stances represent the most interesting and deep mechanics of the game

Modded characters maybe? Would be fun to watch some flashy moves or perhaps reskins for the four mains?

I wasn't sold on it until I tried Neon White. That character is so damn sick and single handedly made me mess with the modded game more.
you can still use the mods installed on your free version for the paid version. Just go to your local files and move the mods there.
I JUST finished the last episode! Obsessed with this game and videos (:

Watching him miss the initial direction option on warp stance was funny
Am I a bad person for skipping to the end and watching the replay first?
Just letting you know, two fights happen in this video! First replay happens at 24:10
I really really want to try this if this release on a phone
This game is so fun thank you for showing me the way
I think vee is a wizard main when I see he’s game play
The teleport is a counter i think
