I noticed that Jasmine is harder than Pryce. I remember the first time I did Pokemon Gold Version all by myself, and I battled all the trainers in the seventh gym, and just left the gym leader there, and then tried battling Jasmine, because I thought Pryce was going to have higher level pokemons, and then my brother told me that he beat the seventh gym leader before he beat the sixth gym leader, so I beat the seventh gym leader before I beat the sixth gym leader. Why are there no trainers in Jasmine's gym? There could be someone blocking the entrance to Jasmine's gym, and he only lets you in when the sick lighthouse pokemon problem been taken care of. Someone found out that the rival sprites are in the water route that's south of Olivine City, but if the rival scene where he talks about the gym leader taking care of a sick lighthouse pokemon ends, than those rival sprites get replaced by the male swimmer sprites.

I basically use Heracross to learn Brick Break & swipe it down as much as possible or come up an strategy to weaken Miltank & than use Heracross or an Fighting type move to beat it. Like for example, I get an Gastly to learn Curse to sacrifice halve of it's health to get Miltanks health bar down each turn or lower it's defense with Leer or something.
Damn, Miltank uses Rollout, which is the only move that can be used for 5 turns once it gets used once, and it gets stronger each turn, and Pichu uses Swagger on Miltank to sharply raise Miltank’s Attack, but confuses Miltank, but then Miltank’s Lum Berry immediately snaps it out of its confusion. That sounds like an unintentional countering combo if I ever heard one.
Thoughts on each Johto Gym Leader: Falkner: He's kinda cool, but it's kinda hard to overlook my knowledge of the fact that he's the weakest Gym Leader level-wise Bugsy: He's alright, though I'll admit it's funny how much trouble everyone seemed to have figuring out his gender Whitney: Even disregarding the infamy that is her Miltank, I still don't like her that much, if only for the fact that she just has to go and have a big fit when you beat her Morty: He's pretty cool. It's also weird to me that he's a gym leader with four Pokémon pretty early on, but then all the Gym Leaders after that aside from the final one have less Pokémon. Chuck: He's neat I guess Jasmine: I like her. She's pretty neat. Pryce: He's alright, though I'll admit that it's funny that his highest leveled Pokémon is lower leveled than Jasmine's Clair: My favorite one. True, but johto gyms were some of the easier ones besides Whitney and Claire, and some say Morty as well. Problems with gen 2 in general, bad Pokémon selection(such as chuck only having 2 Pokémon as the 5th gym leader, and none were johto Pokémon)and the level curve

Also, when facing Morty, my only strategy for facing that Gengar of his was to have it use Hypnosis on my Bayleef, switch out for Togetic so that the Dream Eater wouldn't be effective, switch back to Bayleef so that the Hypnosis wouldn't be effective either, and repeat it back and forth until the combo runs out. Then, it gets personal from there.
Whoops. I forgot about that. I get the Crystal and Soul Silver strategies mixed up sometimes. Plus, I might not be able to one-shot it with the extrasensory anyways. I can't really remember cuz it's been a while.

He took care of Iris and even taught him how to be a good Dragon Master that she use to be the Champion of Black 2 and White 2. Other Gym Leaders are okay, but Drayden really is my favorite.
Miltank isn't that hard to beat. Just get a rock type Pokemon like Geodude or Onix and you can easily beat it. They can also learn Rock Smash, which is a fighting move. Another advantage.
I also know that at least in the remakes, you can trade a Drowzee in for a Machop. Also, according to WatchMojo.com, anyone wondering why a mere cow is on their top 10 most annoying Pokémon list has not played the Generation 2 games or the remakes.
the thing is, we’re always in the heat of battle, and we don’t realize the amazing composition playing in the background. i don’t mean that nobody realizes it, and i may be exaggerating, but all the people i know never pay attention to the music in the background. it’s not a bad thing though, just kinda disappointing.

I mean, I wouldn't want to change your opinion, but I think Sinnoh, Kanto and Unova are slightly better. Especially Unova since they have a theme for the last Pokemon of the party.
Sheesh. All this talk about difficulties with some Gym Leaders. I never had problems with _any_ of them, because I always tended to grind between Gyms on the way to each new city or town. Five levels per Pokemon on my team, per route we traveled. I was typically ten to fifteen levels higher than several of the Gym Leaders and creamed them easily because of being so overleveled.
It took a month for my brother to take down that Milktank while I beat it on my first try since my starter was a female Chikorita back when we played Crystal. He had a Cyndaquil as his starter. Plus, you can actually re-match them when you find them in certain areas and get their phone numbers in the remakes. I rematched with Whitney one day while training the other pokemon I had in my PC. I switched out back and forth and brought out my Haunter that I couldn't link trade for a Gengar due to lack of internet connection and lack of another DS, and her Milktank used Body Slam that actually hit my Haunter. I was like, "How is that possible!?! Normal types shouldn't be effective against Ghost types!" The worst part was that it paralyzed my Haunter and almost killed it, even though it was level 93, and that Milktank was level 50 something.

Because you guys are saying Whitney's Miltank is a monster in combat, I plan to get a Typhlosion before that match.
Miltank isn't that hard to beat. Just get a rock type Pokemon like Geodude or Onix and you can easily beat it. They can also learn Rock Smash, which is a fighting move. Another advantage.
I also know that at least in the remakes, you can trade a Drowzee in for a Machop. Also, according to WatchMojo.com, anyone wondering why a mere cow is on their top 10 most annoying Pokémon list has not played the Generation 2 games or the remakes.

Sheesh. All this talk about difficulties with some Gym Leaders. I never had problems with _any_ of them, because I always tended to grind between Gyms on the way to each new city or town. Five levels per Pokemon on my team, per route we traveled. I was typically ten to fifteen levels higher than several of the Gym Leaders and creamed them easily because of being so overleveled.

It took a month for my brother to take down that Milktank while I beat it on my first try since my starter was a female Chikorita back when we played Crystal. He had a Cyndaquil as his starter. Plus, you can actually re-match them when you find them in certain areas and get their phone numbers in the remakes. I rematched with Whitney one day while training the other pokemon I had in my PC. I switched out back and forth and brought out my Haunter that I couldn't link trade for a Gengar due to lack of internet connection and lack of another DS, and her Milktank used Body Slam that actually hit my Haunter. I was like, "How is that possible!?! Normal types shouldn't be effective against Ghost types!" The worst part was that it paralyzed my Haunter and almost killed it, even though it was level 93, and that Milktank was level 50 something.
I think one of Whitney's Pokémon might've used Miracle Eye or Forsight so that's why it was effective on your Haunter.
