    I absolutely love mine, this IMO is the best sub $200 knife (if you opt for polymer) on the market. Great company. Lifetime warranty - can’t go wrong!

    I pull back on the x button just a bit to break the drag and it flips out really fast!
    It’s technique in the end…everyone has there own technique. I feel pulling the lock back slightly and flipping it out with the wrist works great! I really like this knife the more I handle it!!!
    I got the $175 version and I think it’s totally worth it! It’s a robust smock microtech style! I am waiting for some aftermarket scales!!!

    I would say it is more similar to the CBBC from Spyderco, BUT yes functions like that of the Axis/Crossbar
    I can’t wait to receive my Full Serrated Outbreak MSI 🎉

    Very good and detailed review of the MSI. I'll bet, that you would like the RAM-LOK Amphibian. It has more detent than the MSI. I have two Amphibians and two MSI Folders.
    To me, the MSI is better for EDC uses and everyday cutting tasks. The Amphibian is "Sexy!" And, has more of a Tactical feel to it; it's the one I would choose Self-Defense or SDUEDC.
    I absolutely luv them both. One thing to consider. The Polymer MSI is the Bargain. Especially, since Original Goat is making Titanium and Aluminum Scale Kits for them and Skiff Bearings is going to make Custom Bearings for them. So, it will be the one to Mod, first. Great Video, Bro! :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)

    Just ordered one of these knives and waiting to arrive (aside from pricing), and just like some other companies, I love some of their designs and styles. I recently recommended that Hogue make a bigger Deka, and I think this shows a great comparison 👍

    • @doodysdaggers
      @doodysdaggers  ปีที่แล้ว

    I love the knife
    How do feel about the clip
    The clip is a little soft
    I wear some Ben Davis pants
    But if I wear a thinner material it’s not as tight as other knives I have.
    It seems like a thin metal

    • @doodysdaggers
      @doodysdaggers  ปีที่แล้ว

      It works well, but yeah it is kinda bendy. And a little bit of a hot spot on your hand when you’re really gripping the knife tightly.

    Great review broski! I think your pretty much dead on. I’m interested in checking out the Stitch RAM-LOK. Word is that it is snappier than the MSI and easy to reverse flick. So I’m starting my hunt to pick one up to compare them.

      I picked up at manual plain edge Stitch at Blade Show and It's a sick knife. The build quality is really nice and It's pretty smooth and while I can do a reverse flick it does takes a little bit of wrist. I also have an MSI and the detent between the two are pretty close.

    To each his own but it really doesn’t do much for me. I think they went a little crazy with the jimping I think it kind of cheapens the look of the knife.Hopefully that action will break in over time.

    Your index finger is dragging on the lock while you are trying to reverse flick the blade. There is nothing wrong with the action.

    I'm still on the fence about buying one. I like the blade size and shape which is really the selling point for me. I have catcher mits for hands so a Shaman is a little on the small side. I got the Kizer cormorant in the mail today, an impulse buy because it was half off, and its like a kids toy in my hand! 😄 Great video Dood!

    • @doodysdaggers

    • @EMFSafetyZone
      @EMFSafetyZone ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have large hands and like large knives. I am holding one of these MSI knives this very minute. To me it is not that large and the handle to blade relationship leaves something to be desired. I think the handle is too small for the size of the blade personally.

  • @EMFSafetyZone
    @EMFSafetyZone ปีที่แล้ว +1

    In terms of 'finger flicking' the knife into deployment, it is not accurate to compare this knife to a Spyderco, or any other frame or liner lock. This is not fidgit or flicky knife. The ram lock is in a class of its own and it is better to compare apples and apples, knives that have the same form of deployment rather than try to make this knife something it is not with a wrong comparison.

    • @doodysdaggers
      @doodysdaggers  ปีที่แล้ว

      True it’s a new locking mechanism, but people want to know how the action feels. It feels mushy. 🤷🏻‍♂️
      Some people don’t care about that, and they will probably like the knife way more than I did.

    I got my MSI in carbon fiber with black blade. I love it. The only knife I like more is my rick hinderer XM-18. I didn't notice any "hot spots" on my MSI. Your hands look awfully soft I bet you complain about the grip on your vacuum also. Regarding blade steel- Microtech worked closely with the engineers at Böhler to tweak the properties of M390 for better edge retention, corrosion resistance, and polishing. Maybe do your homework or a quick google search before filming so you come off as informed instead of guessing. Sorry you hurt your finger, next time be more careful when you're opening your bud light.
