    Who cares about the cost? They have the money to do it but won't spend because they won't make money off of it. Greed is all that it comes down to.

    • @nobytes2
      @nobytes2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well they would make money right now instead they’re losing millions because customers aren’t using power. So, yeah they will eventually get them exactly because of grid the poles will pay for themselves.

      Its not their money its your money.They are not paying for anything.They pass it on to you.Thats how it works.

    Its not just about the pole splitting due to wind. Its the tree falling on the line.

    It's a composite I've worked with composites for over 30 years they will not hold up there's a thing called the Sun out there that has a very big effect on composite materials

      They are very vulnerable to flooding. and hard to work on since they are underground.

    • @texasbeast239

      @@cindyjohns6222 Keeping them above ground still exposes them to rain (which we get so much of), so they get hella exposed to water up in the air, and that ain't good either.

    • @DonnySimpanero
      @DonnySimpanero หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Because of cost. Big difference between clearing a fault above ground and having to excavate 1000’s of pounds of soil to clear an underground one.

  • @observingfornow5667
    @observingfornow5667 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

    If they are cheaper to install and transport, why do they cost so much? Even if they cost more to manufacture, the reduction in price on the first two should keep the overall reasonable.

    I do not understand why they still use the wooden poll? This is United States of America. In the Philippines, they have concrete polls and always with Typhoon too, but never experience to lose power for more than a day. Now, who is more advance between these two countries??? America still very primitive 😳😳🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🙄

    Yeah I'm sorry i'd like to see some evidence that they're better than wooden poles. I'm not going to take some company's word for it. And with the price tag that they have yeah it's probably still cheaper for them to put up a wooden pole and pay somebody to fix it. Say that it's cheaper in the long run but companies go with what's cheap and it was cheaper to replace them with those they would. People in the chat on the side of oh it's a billion dollar company or whatever, I think it's a little bit over your head
