good vid. I replaced my stock (because it died) in 2014 with a single-din unit. something to consider for folks out there thinking of getting a double-din. the single-din kit gives you a nice little shelf under the radio, which is great for storing 3 CDs in jewel cases.
Great video! Our install went smoothly on our 07 Focus thanks to you! One question: Android Auto wants the emergency break on in order to be set up in the car, but I did not know how to wire that. How do I fix?
Hey Chris, thanks for watching! So you can wire that to the emergency brake so every time it is set the radio knows to give you full functionality because it thinks you are stopped. OR you could do this, and I'm not telling you to do this, but you COULD wire it to any ground in the car and have full functionality all the time.
Bit of a long shot as your comment was 2 years ago but what do you recommend doing for the 2008 I’ve searched hundreds of TH-cam channels gone to car wreckers etc and I can’t seem to find the harness
Yoo bro ! Does this tutorial apply to the 07’ Ford Focus ? I have the regular mini sedan type, 4 door not hatch back ..Just the regular model.... hope to hear from u soon!🙏🏽
How did you do the wires? Did you have to expose the actual wiring to connect or did you just connect them on the opening of the wire already? Did you twist them together?
Im doing the same thing on a 2005 zx4 ford focus. I also have SWC. The car audio harness includes a 8-MD24 (WH/GN) Vehicle Speed Signal on Pin 14 and a 29-MD25 (OG/BK) Voltage supplied in Start (overload protected) on pin 15. Note pin1 in the harness is already the ground which is also labeled supplied at all times (overload protected) is the black wire. What do I do with pin 14 and pin 15 when they do not have a correlated connection to the after market stereo system?
Hi, please can you help? I am about to purchase a Pioneer FH-S720BT CD receiver for my 2006 MK2 Ford Focus, but I need to know a few things... 1. Do I need to buy a new silver fascia surround to replace the current stock part of the dashboard that surrounds the OEM stereo? 2. I know there is a wiring harness from Ford to ISO and another from ISO to Pioneer, which wiring harnesses do I need? Please supply part numbers if possible? 3. I would like for the steering wheel controls to work. What wiring harness do I need for it to work?
The antenna you unplug and wiring harness i have on my 2007 SES ZX5 the radio is exactly the same but theres an extra plug in the back of it. Also my Antenna wire is yellow and has a different end to it that does not look like yours so I am very confused. Can you help?
@2CarPros hey thanks for your quick reply first. I'm still digging into what the other plug is. It's not the antenna bc I have the same white cable as you (mines orange actually) it might be for a sub but I'm thinking maybe the plug is just redundant (or not used) on the other end and the plug is just there for IF they put the sub in the car from factory. Unsure still but I will make sure to update here if I find out in case anyone else has the same! Other than that your video was great and I'm prepping everything to install myself this weekend :) cheers!
i am trying to do the same but it seems i am not getting any power to the new stereo so what is the colour of the power wire and even when i try to hook up the old stereo back i still get no power so what can i do
That's funny, I have had so many people complain that I used butt connectors in the past. Both ways are totally fine when used correctly. Thanks for watching!
I have to add, earlier models of the Ford focus, I believe 98-04, used keys to pull the radio as opposed to removing trim.
That is true. Good add! Thanks for watching!
2CarPros has always happened iou o POP POP

True. Thanks for watching Ricky!
That's why I love the Sony head units. The always look stock to the car, sort of like a retrofit.
Agreed! Thanks for watching Ian!
For those wondering, It's a 9/32 SAE or 7mm Metric sized hex bit to remove it thats what i used atleast, it fit perfectly
another great video . question! how to remove the bazell to the vents above the radio to.try and tighten them so they stop aiming towards the floor.
Wow! Great video as always! Colorful wires and all : )
Always such nice comments! Thank you :)

that wont work on a 2008. Generation stopped in 2007. Changed in 2008.

What size of media receiver would you recommend for a perfect fit for the ford focus?
Anything double din. Thanks for watching!
Yoo bro ! Does this tutorial apply to the 07’ Ford Focus ? I have the regular mini sedan type, 4 door not hatch back ..Just the regular model.... hope to hear from u soon!🙏🏽
It does if it has the square radio bessel like this one. Thanks for watching!

I soldered the adapter harness to the one that came with the head unit and plugged it in. Thanks for watching!

Is There New Radio Bluetooth Audio Here
Is this The USA ford focus? Because The european ford focus mk2 has different dashboard.
awesome video, will use it as reference.
Howdy, not sure if this has been answered before but what size bolts are in the head unit to unscrew it?
Yep 7mm sorry about that. Thanks for watching!

Is the extra plug space where u would install an aux cord?
this will work on 07?

Maybe for a subwoofer or extra speakers? This is on the most base model Focus they made back then. Are you sure it is an Antenna wire?

That harness works for any radio right? Even without touch screen?
Correct. Thanks for watching!
Great video, guy.
Thanks for watching!
Great video thanks 😘😘😘
Thanks this was helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
The doble dim kit link, it is exclusive for Sony stereo models?? I have a Chinese cheal doble dim stereo? Will works on mine?
Nope. It will work for all "double din" units. Thanks for watching!
I've been having trouble installing mine, its a 2003 focus with three harnesses, can't find the harnesses that fit though. any tips?
Interesting. Maybe those are for steering wheel controls? Thanks for watching Sean!
Will the xav-ax1000 be pretty much the same in terms of installation? Xav-av100 is out of stock
Yep! Thanks for watching!
i am trying to do the same but it seems i am not getting any power to the new stereo so what is the colour of the power wire and even when i try to hook up the old stereo back i still get no power so what can i do
Make sure you didn't blow a fuse. Thanks for watching!
Excelente video
What size are the bolts you remove to remove the stock radio?
It's a 9/32SAE or 7mm sized hex bit to remove it
Thank you for this!
My pleasure!
Sweet bro thanks
Thanks for watching!
will a 2 din stereo fit in a 2008 Ford focus?
Yes it will. Thanks for watching!
Hey Paul just wondering where you got the parts from as I can’t find them anywhere for my 08 ls focus
Great video. Thanks man!
Thanks for watching!
What do I need for a 2001 Ford focus
Just a different fit kit for the round style dash. Thanks for watching!
Hand controls setup?
Our car doesn't have them. You would need to buy another module to plug in to gain that functionality back. Thanks for watching!
I would never use electrical tape to cover up exposed wires. Heat shrink tubing is a better choice for this kind of job.
Tape is fine enough. Heat shrink is better though. Thanks for watching!
That won’t work on a 2000 ether
Why you better install a new stereo with the aux. included instead to run a cable aux under the dashboard
Ok il try it looks easy
It is really approachable. Thanks for watching Eduardo!
what inch stereo is that?
03 focus has 2 different harnesses
You are not supposed to solder in automotive applications basically ever. Always use butt connectors
That's funny, I have had so many people complain that I used butt connectors in the past.
Both ways are totally fine when used correctly. Thanks for watching!
Meaning radio did not work
That looks Nothing like my car
