If you were taliing about any other illness not part of the dark triade it would suddenly be very insensitive to say this, but apparently not when it's a psychopath.

Personally, I think Alex killed Lee, he bought a * SHARP * knife, his dad “took it away” so it’s now gone, and he moved and extra 12 miles with the rental car. My guess is that Lee was going to go home, and Alex didn’t want her telling her family that she was a fraud, so he went out and bought a sharp knife (in the case the sashimi knife) so he killed her, hired a rental car and drove 13 miles to hide the body and probably the knife too, then drove back.

If his dad “took the knife away” for whatever reason then why didn’t the police question the dad and get the knife back. If his dad says he has no knowledge of this then it’s clear proof that Alex is still lying. Honestly I just feel like not enough was done for this case. And like go do a search around the 26 miles and try to look for the body or something. Is there elevator footage? There has to be something cause this guy is so plain obvious

You do know why the judge ended up sentencing him for two years because he was found lying right? Did you not pay attention? Also, you really think they didn't do a search? They can't spend all their resources on a single case when there are still a lot of crime happening. Trust me, officers and detectives are much better at it than you are. Have a little faith, everything you are suggesting, has obviously came through their mind, and been acted upon if they are viable. I mean, think about it... 26 miles radius. Do you have any idea how large that is? You say "something", I tell you, there's only a few things they can find. A knife (of unknown usage, wear and tear, design), and a body (of unknown condition, size, decomposition, appearance). What you're asking for is harder than finding a needle in a haystack. People tend to forget that officers have to stress through this, and see a lot more shit than them.

They don't have evidence, even if it was a lie, where's the body?, What really happened?, Such questions can only be answered by the ppl who are present. But the girl is missing, so you can't really question anyone except for the guy.
You can't just put someone to jail just because they seem HIGHLY suspicious. You still need evidence.
You can't even bring illegal evidence in court, they wouldn't even matter. Even if you've proved yourself innocent, if the evidence you have is illegal it's of no use.

I genuinely feel like he done it...I believe he knew that if he took the polygraph test and failed ,it would be invalid for the police to use,as it isn’t as accurate.He 100% planned it out beforehand and unfortunately unlike the other ladies Ms.Lee fell for it he was just looking for an easy target and him knowing that Ms.Lee wasn’t as wealthy he took advantage of her.As for the knife that is complete nonsense nobody who would want to cause harm to their body would go and purchase a knife worth £200,they would look for a sharp object that is visible.I really hope that the family get justice.

Why won’t the korean police/news media release his identity? If someone saw him on the day of lee’s disappearance they could possibly send in tips about his whereabouts.
Okay so here's my theory
Alex did kill lee
The reason why he "killed" Her is bc he did have financial problems and in this case lee was probably caught up with his bs and realized he was using her so she wanted to cut him off. Now because of "this" He might have killed her so she would not expose his fraud. He took lees credit and rent a car to dispose of lee's body and the knife he used to "kill" her.
Tbh if I were him, i would have done this a lot cleaner. This is probably the most messiest "crimes" I've witnessed.
(Not saying I would actually do this type of shit lol)
Over all in my theory. Alex did kill her, he bought a knife meth up with her killed her, rented a car, disposed of the evidence (in the most messiest way possible, I mean he litterly could have just Carried the body onto a remote area without using a rent a car. Like I said, could have done it cleaner Alex :/)
As for the lie detector, it was obvious he would fail. If it was unsure at least one could have been right. :/

Of course he did it! he had the opportunity last one to see her alive, motive to silence her about his fraudulent life style and to steal her money,plus he had the weapon. Plus he planned to kill her way in advance, got her to quit her job so her coworkers would not miss her, the lie that she would be overseas and could not use her phone so her family and friends wouldn't miss her either his guy maybe a serial killer. Did the police confirm with the father that he got rid of the knife?Korea Law system is severely lacking this poor women's family must be devastated.

Unfortunately it's pretty unlikely that there would be evidence on it by now, but it's possible that Alex went to his father, scared that he had committed murder and his father took the knife for him for protection. Idk, but definitely am wondering why the loose ends don't seem to be being met.

So he pretended everything so he can make miss lee follow him. She found out it was all lies and broke up with him. He got mad and killed her with the knife he bought. He took her dead body into the rented car and left her body somewhere. He went to the bar and tried to find some more “victims”. Idk

I honestly think that he killed her, they most likely got into an argument about the truth and she probably was going to expose him or report him he got scared and did what he did cause it’s just too obvious that he said that he doesn’t know where the knife is had that his dad misplaced or what ever. Hi grace. So when I was about 6 years old, I used to sleep with my mom, and in the middle of the night, I heard a zombie-like sound. I told my mom about it, and she started laughing at me. She was saying: I don’t hear anything, it may be the AC. I believed her and slept through the whole night. It was 11 in the morning, I woke up and sat on the couch. About five minutes later, I was going to go wash my face when suddenly I heard a zombie-like voice again. I ran to my sister’s room immediately and told her about it. She didn’t believe me. I stayed in her room, and about a minute, she said she will go to the bathroom and wash her face. I followed her because I was so scared (BTW our parents had left early to get plane tickets). I didn’t hear the voice anymore. My sister went to the toilet and was doing her business when I heard the voice AGAIN!. I don’t know if I was hallucinating but it literally felt real (it felt like the voice was coming right into my ear. I started shouting: PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE!! My sister came out and said: Are you crazy!? After some time, our parents came back. I didn’t tell them what happened. (It just felt like I should not tell them. It was giving me weird vibes). It was the next day. I didn’t hear any voices. Instead, I was getting creepy text messages on my mother’s phone like: *you are damiri* something like that. I didn’t know what the last word meant. My mother was checking her messages and she found nothing. Nothing even on recently deleted. 6 years later, I am 12 years old (p.s. I’m 13 right now) and I heard a voice on the exact same time, 3 am. But this time, it wasn’t zombie-like voices. IT WAS LEGIT CALLING MY NAME!!! But this time, it wasn’t loud. Just some time later. I fell asleep. Next day, I went to the washroom the wash my face. I started hearing like someone was behind me hard breathing. I stopped what I was doing and started looking back slowly. I saw nothing there. And on to this day, I hear no more voices (keep in mind this happened 2 weeks and 2 days ago)

Kpop Scenario sounds similar to what i once had as a kid.. i was at school camp (normally we don’t go on camp till like the last two years of primary school here but since i was in a mixed class at the time our class ended up going and they decided to take the younger ones too including myself at the time i was about 8 when normally everyone that goes is 11/12 ) the fact i’ve always been more spiritually aware from a young age also comes into play.. now the teachers had made up a story for the “horror night dropping” wich had to do with witches that had been executed in that forest a long time ago.. it was just a story but i felt there was some truth to it.. so i ended up not going cuz knowing my luck i’d truly encounter something in that forest in the dark and i wasn’t about to gamble that. However the real encounter happened on the day we were leaving. Everyone had backed their bags back into the buses and as we were going to leave within like 10 to 15 minutes i decided to go to the toilet real quick so i didn’t have to go while on the road. Now this toilet was basically a closed off space with two stalls facing each other and some wash basins.. the main door to it was pretty heavy so there was no way someone could come in there without it making noise in some way be it slamming or creaking loudly, basically i sat there doing my buisness and i suddenly heard breathing in my right ear right behind me.. so i looked behind and up and saw nothing but at this point i was already so freaked out i couldn’t get out of there any quicker than i did (i felt like sonic) and i immideately told the teacher who wrote it off going it’s probably some other kid messing with you.. like that’s impossible.. even if they could have snuck in there undetected why was the noise at my right ear wich was a corner of walls.. on top of that if it was someone messing with me.. at the speed i got out there there was no way for me to not have seen anyone yet there was nobody there.. and i still heard loud breathing.. i was the only one in the building at the time as everyone was outside loading the last bags into the buses and playing in the forest surrounding the place.

The guy's behavioral patterns are very consistent with that of many killers. What more, all the evidences, even though circumstantial, are plenty and all point to the same logical conclusion- he had something to do with the lady's disappearance. sigh. i hope the police are still keeping tabs on him

So as a criminalistics student, the “lie” detecter only analyse your breathing, heart beat and pressure.. you can’t really tell anything about it. If he actually has anxiety he could fail it but since we don’t know they can’t use it as a proof but as support..
So he is probably the murder, simply, with not enough proofs you can’t put I’m in jail. No blood, no fingerprint, no body = no good proof.

These tests assess 3 indicators of autonomic arousal: heart rate/blood pressure, respiration and skin conductivity. It does *not* measure actual lies or actual deception. Normally when people are being interrogated, they feel stressed, therefore their results will always indicate that they are nervous - irrespective of whether they're guilty of a crime or not. A lot of innocent people have been sentenced to prison or death, due to incorrect polygraph results. Afterwards it has been found that these people were actually innocent. But it was too late already. *Having said that, I'm not concluding that the suspect Alex is innocent - but that we should rather educate each other on the fact that polygraph results in general, should be considered with a grain of salt, in this case and in all cases. These tests aren't accurate and reliable. There's a need for actual physical evidence with DNA and / or witnesses* to be able to lable someone as 100% guilty. As of now, the polygraph results and the suspect seeming to be a pathological liar, aren't proof enough.
