- A bit of a different video, I got a couple of new bench mounted sanders to help me make the items I produce for sale. A bobbin sander and a 300mm Disc sander.
My hope is that having these bench mounted will save my hands a little bit and make my mini production runs a bit faster and easier. Especially when making baskets.
So as I opened them and got them set up I thought I'd film it and see my honest first impressions.
I'm not sponsored by Axminster in any way (although if they end up watching this I bet I could be convinced...). These machines were purchased using my own money. I've used Axminster since I started in the trade some 20+ years ago and they seem a reliable firm with good aftercare services should you need it.
Thanks For Watching!

Nice!
Thanks. Should speed things up a bit.
Hi , was looking at this bench sander for my small workshop.
How sre you getton with it
Kind regards Chris
I really like it. The main negative is the fact it runs on after you've stopped it, like takes ages to come to a stop. But otherwise its really quiet and the extraction seems pretty good when you've got it connected. I do wish it locked into 90 degrees, instead of having to use a square, but that's a minor thing really.
Tools for fools. That's the old carpenter's motto. That's some good quality kit.
@johncorrall1739 "all the gear and no idea is" one of my favourites! 🤣🤣 yeah a bit of an upgrade. And a new pillar drill this week as well as other one broke about 10 minutes after setting these guys up! Doh!
THey look like good machines... but I won't be buying from Axminster if they are still using polystyrene! Shame really as they seem to do good stuff.
@selianboy8508 I think for many of the big suppliers use it, quite hard to avoid and not advertised what they pack it with. Does create a fair bit of waste it must be said.
