Hi Avery I’m South African, The A’s are still plural and the U’s are singular. Even if you address someone in third party (which we Do Not do when we speak in English but most likely would be used in a vernacular reference, meaning using it in an indigenous language which are very flexible and complex) eg. In a greeting, if an elder asked you how you were in third party, it would have the same meaning as if he referred to you directly because it’s still being addressed to you, the vowels don’t change, they reflect the person being addressed) we also would not refer to ourselves in third party, only when eg. someone else is trying to be respectful would perhaps speak in third party, but it’s still referring to you even if that’s the attempt to use it at, and this is by a stretch and not in English, next time he says it’s a South African language ask him Which One?Because we have 11 official languages! If he says English then he’s lying because we don’t speak like that. He needs to say which language he is using. My point being: the persons being addressed or referenced would not change and the vowels should reflect that for the sentence to make sense. So you were 100% correct to stand on the vowel meanings. Why is that pretty wild? They were both different translations, from different times, from different people, who had different theological understanding/upbringing/beliefs - that translated different critical editions (and textual variants) of the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek texts for the individual books of the bible, where each translation team had different specialties (time, place, translatory, historical, theological, etc.) for the translation team mates... who's individual intricacies were not homologized and standardized across all texts. There's a reason why there's so many different translations of the bible... just in the English language, just for the American market... now imagine you translate it for older, more classical english understanding vs more modern, urban english translations vs standard apa/mla grammatical standards for understanding vs etc. etc. etc. Just like with the Quran's own English translations (there are many, many, many different ones), the "wrongness" of various texts/translations can be surprisingly high... depending on what you accept or consider "wrong" or even "high". And now... imagine slight, small changes in translations across a 2000 year time period, across several different continents, across dozens of languages, across perhaps hundreds of unique cultures, etc. etc. It gets pretty convoluted as to what the "ultimate" translation or authority on a particular text actually is! That's one of the main reasons why the Catholic Church demanded all priests at all churches use latin across well more than 1000 years... to maintain homology and meaning, and to prevent "arguments" and theological "corruption" that might arise from any random church/priest reading a text and using their local, poor grasp on latin/greek/etc. to translate it and transmit it to the people. In the end, Christians decided that the Word of God getting out to the people was much more important than the conservation of homology, as long as the message and meanings were maintained. Whether this was the right/wrong decision will be debated throughout time, i'm sure. But there's a reason why this sort of thing exists and why no single collection of examples compared against one another are ever "damning". The only truly "wild" answer/suggestion in this video is from the muslims who actually think the Quran (or rather, their preferred version of the quran) is literally PERFECTLY and INFALLIBLY and uniquely maintained across well over 1000 years to the point where not a single dot has been changed or altered... and definitely not a letter... and never an entire word... and certainly not an entire sentence... and in no way shape or form entire books... and whose meaning and historical context/syntax/grammar/history/etc. hasn't changed one bit for the true meaning of one verse for 14 centuries! I must say, the average Christian is not this aware of just how many translations and alterations the bible has went through, so for you to start your points with acknowledging it as much as you have makes me question how you could believe and follow the bible as the true word of God, and furthermore, base your salvation and bet your soul on it. From the start, It is of a historical consensus that Jesus (peace and blessings be upon him) spoke the Aramaic language. The earliest historical documentation we have of what Jesus (pbuh) preached is in Koine Greek. So immediately, the source and base for every translation that ever stemmed from the Koine Greek bible is of a weak level and of an unverifiable source. The reason is because there is no original source for these translations to go back and refer to. Every translation that we have today is a translation of a translation. The problem is how do we know that the translation we are translating from is precise and accurate? We do not know if it is, and we cannot, because that is as early as the historical documentation gets. When you are translating a text between 2 languages you have to pick between 2 options; 1) To translate the specific text word for word and disregard the meaning of the text. (This way is very ineffective for obvious reasons) 2) To translate the meaning of the text The only correct option to choose is #2. The problem now comes to be that you are now reading someone interpretation of the meaning of the text. And it's not just an interpretation of one verse or passage, it's someone's interpretation of entire book, start to end. So each and every single bible we have today is an interpretation of someone else's interpretations. Now you sit here and tell me you're going to take today's Bible as the word of God. You may want to play with your soul, but I do not. Now to come to the Qur'an, you can pick up a Qur'an in its original Arabic language it will be the same ANYWHERE across the earth. Without any exaggeration, anywhere across the earth. And not a single word has changed from the time it was revealed. You claim there were variants of the Qur'an, I would happily be here to prove to you there aren't although I'm sure a quick google search could help you quicker than I could if you genuinely wanted to know. What we do have are different Qira'at's (methods of recitation). Having a different method of recitation does not change the word nor the meaning, only the way it is recited. Do you want to know how we have been able to preserve the original message of the Qur'an and islam? It is because of our great historical documentation and oral traditions. From the time the Qur'an was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) there were hundreds of people around him who had already memorized the entire Qur'an, start to finish. From that time onwards until today, that number of people who have memorized the Qur'an has only increased. So people would quite literally not be able to alter the Qur'an even from an early stage without the hundreds of people who memorized the Qur'an immediately reject it. My last and final point is of the historical documentation we have regarding the Qur'an and the time and era it was revealed. Christianity cannot compare to islam in this department even in the slightest, I do not mean to offend you. Each and everything related to our religion can be documented and traced back to it's origin and we know the people's names who were there to witness it, we have a biography and each and every person there to witness it, we have testimonies that align with each other from each and every person there to witness such events, we know the time such events happened, we know the before and after and what it lead to for each said event, and we have something called 'Tafsir' which is the meaning of such said event, further more we have a grading system for how reliable each every hadith (historical documentation) is and we openly reject hadiths that are of a weak reliability. I can keep going for days my friend about the religion of islam. It is no doubt the truth and the book that came to correct the distorted words of our Prophet Jesus (pbuh). If you truly read everything I had to say, I commend you and I hope that our almighty creator guides both you and me to the truth.

They were both different translations, from different times, from different people, who had different theological understanding/upbringing/beliefs - that translated different critical editions (and textual variants) of the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek texts for the individual books of the bible, where each translation team had different specialties (time, place, translatory, historical, theological, etc.) for the translation team mates... who's individual intricacies were not homologized and standardized across all texts. There's a reason why there's so many different translations of the bible... just in the English language, just for the American market... now imagine you translate it for older, more classical english understanding vs more modern, urban english translations vs standard apa/mla grammatical standards for understanding vs etc. etc. etc. Just like with the Quran's own English translations (there are many, many, many different ones), the "wrongness" of various texts/translations can be surprisingly high... depending on what you accept or consider "wrong" or even "high".
And now... imagine slight, small changes in translations across a 2000 year time period, across several different continents, across dozens of languages, across perhaps hundreds of unique cultures, etc. etc. It gets pretty convoluted as to what the "ultimate" translation or authority on a particular text actually is! That's one of the main reasons why the Catholic Church demanded all priests at all churches use latin across well more than 1000 years... to maintain homology and meaning, and to prevent "arguments" and theological "corruption" that might arise from any random church/priest reading a text and using their local, poor grasp on latin/greek/etc. to translate it and transmit it to the people. In the end, Christians decided that the Word of God getting out to the people was much more important than the conservation of homology, as long as the message and meanings were maintained. Whether this was the right/wrong decision will be debated throughout time, i'm sure. But there's a reason why this sort of thing exists and why no single collection of examples compared against one another are ever "damning".
The only truly "wild" answer/suggestion in this video is from the muslims who actually think the Quran (or rather, their preferred version of the quran) is literally PERFECTLY and INFALLIBLY and uniquely maintained across well over 1000 years to the point where not a single dot has been changed or altered... and definitely not a letter... and never an entire word... and certainly not an entire sentence... and in no way shape or form entire books... and whose meaning and historical context/syntax/grammar/history/etc. hasn't changed one bit for the true meaning of one verse for 14 centuries! Now you made a lot of points in your comments so I'm going to address the main ones that stood out to me.
I must say, the average Christian is not this aware of just how many translations and alterations the bible has went through, so for you to start your points with acknowledging it as much as you have makes me question how you could believe and follow the bible as the true word of God, and furthermore, base your salvation and bet your soul on it.
From the start, It is of a historical consensus that Jesus (peace and blessings be upon him) spoke the Aramaic language. The earliest historical documentation we have of what Jesus (pbuh) preached is in Koine Greek. So immediately, the source and base for every translation that ever stemmed from the Koine Greek bible is of a weak level and of an unverifiable source. The reason is because there is no original source for these translations to go back and refer to. Every translation that we have today is a translation of a translation. The problem is how do we know that the translation we are translating from is precise and accurate? We do not know if it is, and we cannot, because that is as early as the historical documentation gets. When you are translating a text between 2 languages you have to pick between 2 options;
1) To translate the specific text word for word and disregard the meaning of the text. (This way is very ineffective for obvious reasons)
2) To translate the meaning of the text
The only correct option to choose is #2. The problem now comes to be that you are now reading someone interpretation of the meaning of the text. And it's not just an interpretation of one verse or passage, it's someone's interpretation of entire book, start to end.
So each and every single bible we have today is an interpretation of someone else's interpretations. Now you sit here and tell me you're going to take today's Bible as the word of God. You may want to play with your soul, but I do not.
Now to come to the Qur'an, you can pick up a Qur'an in its original Arabic language it will be the same ANYWHERE across the earth. Without any exaggeration, anywhere across the earth. And not a single word has changed from the time it was revealed. You claim there were variants of the Qur'an, I would happily be here to prove to you there aren't although I'm sure a quick google search could help you quicker than I could if you genuinely wanted to know. What we do have are different Qira'at's (methods of recitation). Having a different method of recitation does not change the word nor the meaning, only the way it is recited.
Do you want to know how we have been able to preserve the original message of the Qur'an and islam? It is because of our great historical documentation and oral traditions.
From the time the Qur'an was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) there were hundreds of people around him who had already memorized the entire Qur'an, start to finish. From that time onwards until today, that number of people who have memorized the Qur'an has only increased. So people would quite literally not be able to alter the Qur'an even from an early stage without the hundreds of people who memorized the Qur'an immediately reject it.
My last and final point is of the historical documentation we have regarding the Qur'an and the time and era it was revealed. Christianity cannot compare to islam in this department even in the slightest, I do not mean to offend you. Each and everything related to our religion can be documented and traced back to it's origin and we know the people's names who were there to witness it, we have a biography and each and every person there to witness it, we have testimonies that align with each other from each and every person there to witness such events, we know the time such events happened, we know the before and after and what it lead to for each said event, and we have something called 'Tafsir' which is the meaning of such said event, further more we have a grading system for how reliable each every hadith (historical documentation) is and we openly reject hadiths that are of a weak reliability. I can keep going for days my friend about the religion of islam. It is no doubt the truth and the book that came to correct the distorted words of our Prophet Jesus (pbuh).
If you truly read everything I had to say, I commend you and I hope that our almighty creator guides both you and me to the truth.
A perfect example of how someone who doesn't like the fact that their own book doesn't stack up to the truth. If he was secured in his knowledge he wouldn't be so quick to dismissing everything in mid sentence, he'd hear and listen to every word spoke and then responded either in favor or against what was spoken. An intelligent person can listen to other thoughts and explain why things are true or not without temper, because it strengtheneths the mind and the soul. Uthman must be so frustrating to debate against. He interrupts you when you speak but cries at the smallest interjections, always makes appeals to the crowd to get them on his side, never answers simple yes or no questions
He built an entire brand on islam theology. He’s never been challenged by a knowledgeable Christian and and has realized his arguments that’s he’s used on strangers doesn’t apply to people who are well studied on the bible. You claim Ahaziah ruled Two times, 22 then was captured then came back and ruled at 42. However in the bible, when he was captured *HE WAS IMMEDIATELY PUT TO DEATH* *2 Chronicles 22:9. He then went in search of Ahaziah, and his men captured him while he was hiding in Samaria. He was brought to Jehu and put to death. They buried him*. **Futhermore Ahaziah DIED at age 22** so how did ahaziah come back from the dead and rule at 42 years old? I read an article to gather this info, but even a quick google search of *"which age did ahaziah die"* can show that you did no research at all.
Use your common sense, if the answer was as simple as "hE ruLeD tWO timES" then why would proffesinal bible studies remove it from the scripture? anyways I respect how you handled the debate, you listened to Uthman unlike other debators. and yes Uthman was Interrupting you quite a lot, and since this is deemed as a *"copyist Error"* Imagine how many other *"copyist errors"* are there? who knows maybe jesus's crucifixion was a *"copyist error"*

It's actually hard to watch someone like Sneako attempt to construct cogent arguments and participate in these types of discussions. If you have ever listened to him discuss any subject on video for longer than five minutes, it becomes plainly obvious he's trying his hand at a world his IQ just won't let him thrive in.
