Testaverde Keyshawn Witten Jones lead wild comeback at Seattle 2004

  • This was the first of two of the wildest finishes you will ever see. Just a few weeks before Vinny Testaverde hit Patrick Crayton for a hail mary Touchdown to beat Washington he made an amazing play to Keyshawn Johnson which should have been overturned. Jason Witten recovered the onsides and Julius Jones capped off a huge night with a winning TD.
One last time we as cowboys fans got to watch Jerry Rice stand on the sidelines and watch our offense beat his team. How sweet it was.

The year after i left high school the Triplets won there first of three Superbowls. I lived across the street from Texas stadium in those days. They were holding a pep rally in the stadium during the game. I went up on my roof with a tv. Muted the tv and watched it with the roar of the crowd in the stadium. It was like i was there.

Some good memories from this game. I remember since of course it was a school night my dad made me go to bed after Seattle made it 10, so I never saw the Keyshawn touchdown. But after the onside kick, my dad came into my room and got me out of bed! We woke my mom up with that Jones touchdown. Great memory.

Romo beat Seattle in 08, 09, 11 and 14. Had he been healthy I bet he would have beat them soundly in 2015 at the stadium. They barely beat Matt cassell.

@@sp2817 All i hear are excuses for mediocrity.
2003 was Parcells only above average coaching performance while in Dallas.
Bill Parcells should have been fired for the horrendous 2006 draft.
2005 Cowboys start 7-4 and end the season 9-7 missing the playoffs
2006 Cowboys start 8-4 and end the season 9-7.
The Cowboys have a chance to win the Division on Xmas Day 2006 and get blown out at home vs the Eagles.
I attended this game. This was the game that I realized Parcells wasn't worth a crap as a head coach.
Parcells let his personal feelings effect how he coached the best wide receiver in the NFL and it showed. We didn't use TO at all in the best way that we could.
2007 Cowboys are roughly the same team as the 2006 versions but with a new coach go 13-3.
Terrell Owens has a monster season and his 1st team all Pro.

@@sp2817 one more thing...the Eagles had a similar string of bad seasons before hiring Andy Reid and becoming the premier team in the NFC from 2000-2004.
Dallas was looking for the same type of magic from Bill Parcells and instead all they got was 9-7 and continuous end of season collapses.
Teams can turnaround very quickly with the right coach....See the 2007 Cowboys.
If another coach takes your same players and instead of going 9-7 goes 13-3.....it is not a positive indictment on Bill Parcells.

The 2005 and 2006 teams had way more talent than to go 9-7.

Man, that wasnt a touchdown by keyshawn. Just realizing it now. His hand touched down out of bounds first before his second right foot did lol

The force out rule was still in play back then... So it might've been called a touchdown regardless... Who knows though because they didn't review it

It was legal at the time. Force out rule meant the discretion was up to the refs. Shaky rule. Probably best that it's gone. Not a catch with today's rules.
